Asked them to do lighting on my house. They asked me to sign a contract. I thought I was signing for one year. In small print, I didn't realize I had signed for 3 years. I didn't want the lights again this year and now they are threatening to sue me if I do not put the lights up again this year.

Very prompt service. They thoroughly cleaned entire yard of leaves as well as mowing grass for first time of the season. They cleaned out flower beds, as well. Worked with us when we needed unexpected haul away. Have had a very pleasant experience and we are now using JVS for our regular lawn maintenance.

They came 3-4 times and each time they cut the grass and collected the leaves and placed by the road. We were charged $139 for each installment (3). we also used them to put up,take down and store our Christmas lights. They came in November and removed lights on Jan 5. I believe the total for that was $600.00.

He refused to honor the contract which included a fall clean-up. When it came to the fall, he wanted to charge me more money, despite it being in the contract that it was paid for. The workers were very nice, the owner is very difficult to deal with.

Great service overall. Very responsive and helpful. I am very satisfied with their work.

Work was good, but expensive (We were able to get comparable for significantly less after using them). Contacted co. in Oct. 2012 when we finally did our 2011 tax reporting (had extended its deadline due to our move to FL). In preparing the tax data we realized that we had paid the same invoice twice. We contacted the owner and he sent us a listing of invoices paid. What a shock it was to see our double-pay noted, but the total invoice total changed to accommodate the 2 payments. The owner offered to give us a credit but refused to refund our money. A credit is worthless as we now live in FL. After contact from both Angie's List and Better Business Bureau the co. still refuses to refund our overpayment. We will continue to work toward getting it because we believe justice can and will be done.

JVS provides more services than we use for them. The standard landscaping prices seem comporable for our area but some of the services can be obtained much cheaper (snow plowing, firewood).

JVS always does a very good job. If I have any problems, they take care of them immediately. The owner is incredible to work with. His main priority is to please the customers he is working with.
