Water Works of Westwood / Washington New Jersey: Rob was master plumber and site supervisor. They arrived on time and fully prepared .(They had an initial assessment done by a staff member who I assume had informed them what was needed ) They requested we remove hand railings that would obstruct their ingress and egress. We complied. They worked under EXCEPTIONALLY warm and humid conditions during a heat wave in a non air conditioned basement.(We provided high powered fans but they were of little comfort) The old boiler did not remove easily and the apprentice plumbers employed GREAT physical effort to use pure brute force to finally remove it piece by piece outside. One apprentice plumber who had to add new parts to the steam radiators throughout my aged mothers home was very kind and respectful towards her and my developmentally disabled sister. They cleaned up after themselves and left the work site cleaner than it was before they arrived. Rob the Master Plumber arrived on a Saturday to finish the last parts of the job. He provided detailed information on how to maximize its efficiency of use and to advised us to seek alteration in our link to the chimney /water boiler air outlet with American Chimney of Newark N.J. He stressed very strongly to contact his company for ANY problem and at ANYTIME .

Estimate was right on. No extra costs. They come on time and compleded the repair without any issues. Very professional

Although the actual work was done competently. The plumber complained about the faucet throughout the installation. It took him over 3 hours to install. Maybe it was more complicated than he originally thought but I also think he may not have had the experience to be familiar with it either. In addition overall I find the company highly deceptive. The estimate was very confusing. Once the bill was paid there was high pressure to agree to a "fully refundable at any time" monthly contract. When I requested to be released of the contract I was told of a penalty. Eventually they agreed to forfeit any additional penalty but I could tell this is a shady company. When I asked for them to explain the details of this contract - their response was "didn't the technician already explain it" . Really arrogant employees - just in it for the money. Although the quality of the work was so far is reasonably competent I would never recommend this company to anyone based on the shady business practices.

Fast forward, Spring 2013, and the copper pipe installed outside burst. They wanted $475 to replace after a brief visit on a Saturday am. The technician was going to discuss with the owner on Monday. When I called back on Monday, the technician was out till Thursday, and the Customer service rep was going to pass along to the owner....I did not hear back from anyone, but my Neighbor saw one of their trucks pull in two weeks later. I had already used another vendor to replace the copper pipe. Last week the PVC pipe on the backflow of the washer started leaking at the seams. The bottom line is that they only guarantee thier work for one year, even if is is not done properly (my co-workers laughed when they heard it was leaking at the seams...). They wanted to charge me to come and see what needed to be done, $29.95 for the visit. I will not use this vendor again. UPDATE! After posting on Angie's list I did indeed receive a call from the owner, Mike. He sent over a technician on the following day. It was my layman's opinion that the PVC pipe was leaking at the seams, and the tecnician sent believed it to be an overflow problem and a need to snake the piping. He offered to replace the pipe and snake the piping at my convenience. I still believed it was a faulty pipe..... I did laundry that night as there was no leaking during the testing. As it turned out, Shawn the technician was correct, and very professional (as I was sure it was a faulty pipe) The pipe overflowed and looked as though it was spewing out - boy, time to eat crow. I called Mike the next day, apologized for my not too keen review and thanked him for following up and the professionalism of his technician. He still offered to send Shawn out to replace the pipe and snake the piping. As a matter of fact he is here right now. Thanks Mike and Shawn! I will use Water Works in the future!

I have no complaints about the service. The drain is working as it should. My only concern is the price. Is $299 the basic service call charge these days?

Everything went great! Very professional. There was snow on the ground outside so the plumber put booties on B4 coming into my house. He gave me a price B4 starting the work. Cleaned up when the job was complete. I would highly recommend Water Works.

The service of Water Works was great.

Estimate was too expensive, 30% over the vendor that I chose, I got my vendor from Chinese newspaper. I believe vendor are expensive because they pay advertising to Angie's list, or they think Angies list's listing give them the right to charge more. Turned out new york city vendors are cheaper than local vendors from Angie's list. Because of my experience, that is why I don't subscribe to angie's list anymore. I don't even want to bad mouth the company or angie list, but angie list keep harassing me for reviews, so here it goes, I believe my relative should really get her groupon money back for buying Angies list membership and send it to me. I don't want to be ask again from angie list for review or recommendation. I get better pricing, reviews, and better service from Yelp than a paid service from Angies list. Please cease and desist any communication with me, because I am tired of reviewing your company recommended vendors.

Very professional and polite. The plumber explained the entire procedure, involved me in the analysis, and was never condescending.

From estimate to completion, the job went perfectly. I could not be more satisfied with the work.

We had to turn the water off to the whole house because of a faucet that would not turn off. Called Water Works at about 5:30 pm on a Friday. They sent a technician out that evening and he was able to get water back on. The same technician, Sal came back on Sat and finished the job. Sal was great and did everything as promised.

Brian told us that the blower motor could probably be fixed. It would be a bit expensive, but definitely cheaper than a new furnace. He told us the unit might run fine for a long time. But a furnace at this age was a "who knows" proposition. From our perspective this wasn't "sales pressure", just him giving us facts and options. He also told us about changes in the law that would take effect this spring that would make replacing the furnace after that more complicated and more expensive. I did some Internet research and the information he gave us about the law change and the recommendation about the size of the furnace we needed checked out. Water Works installs Goodman furnaces. That was a brand I hadn't heard of. I researched them, too, and they had solid enough reviews to make us comfortable, plus they have a very good manufacturer's warranty. All in all, Water Works took care of us very well. With something like a furnace emergency, its a little tough to comparison shop (especially when its cold and you don't have any heat!) Some earlier reviews complained about Water Works not being as inexpensive as others, but we didn't have the feeling that we were grossly overcharged for what we got. Since the service was as good as it was, and the company is local, we felt very satisfied.

Was originally quoted 2 to 4 hour window for later in the day, but got a call that someone was available right away. He got here quickly, identified the problem within about 10 minutes, and now no more leak! Very professional, and fast response!

Two men arrived on time, they worked quickly, neatly and produced a really good job. The plumber made sure to show me how this model works, and he specifically set the water temperature at a safe level because I have young grandchildren in my home. they are professional, courteous and skilled! Update: I just revised another review of my experience with Water Works - for that one I noted that I was pressured to have additional work done beyond the reason for my calling them in the first place. I had forgotten that I had purchased one of Angie's List's "specials" for a new water heater. I did not realize at the time that this was a standard pattern of operation when the plumbers told me I needed added work done for the installation that was not included in the original offer. I believed them, and the work was done- and done well. It is just upon reflection that this is now the third time that I have used Water Works and the third time that the job had additional sales added to it. This seems to be the way that the company operates. The plumbers are courteous, professional, good and work rapidly and clean. But I do not appreciate being pressured like this. I am not a big open check book!

I had them come out to actually unclog a drain for me. I had a good experience.

Repair man came to my home within the half hour of my call to the company. He assessed the situation,told me what had to be done, and immediately began work on removing my old water heater, which was leaking, and installed the new heater. Very polite, very professional, yet friendly , and sympathetic to the flooding in the room. He stayed until everything was completely taken care of, even went back to his warehouse for a part he didn't have with him, and cleaned up without leaving any sign that work had even been done. I will certainly remember the wonderful service, and call this company in case of need pertaining to my water supply or heater.

When worker arrived he said the service was not included on this coupon. After a quick call to the office, he provided good service and solved our problem.

It went very well, he did a good job. It stopped the leak, and that is what I wanted.

The Water Works crew came when expected and did the job quickly and professionally. In addition, there were no "add-ons" to the package I bought, which impressed me. Angie's Big Deals have been great. I have subsequently used Water Works in my home and have been very satisfied with their work and professionalism.

They called back within 30 minutes with a time a repairmen would arrive, and he arrived on time. This is the second time I have used WaterWorks. The first time they worked on a much more difficult problem and completed it to my total satisfaction. I have high confidence in their work. Equally important, they coordinate their workforce very well. They seem to realize that each call is a crises to the customer and they endeavor to take care of it ASAP.

Job went well. We had some follow-up items and the company was responsive, even after all of the work was done.

Drain could not be inspected and it was not clear if cleaning the drain did anything.

Michael supplied the sink and hooked up a new connection in garage. The work was A+, but I think it was kind of expensive, although he was least expensive.

We had a major sewer backup that partially flooded our ground floor late one Saturday night. I called Water Works (based on AL reviews) at midnight and the technician, Sean, returned my call early Sunday morning. He came almost immediately after we hung up and cleared out the sewer. Since we bought the house fairly recently, we did not know where the main sewer access point was, so he had to remove the toilet to do the job and use a smaller drill bit than normal. Sean told us to let him know if we ever found the main access point because it would be less expensive and more comprehensive. He brought a standard company price book (so all techs charge the same amount for the same job), and since we were new customers, he took $100 off on the first visit and also gave us an enzyme drain cleaning powder normally $50 at no additional charge. A week later I actually found the main access point (very well hidden) and Sean was happy to come out again and re-do the work with a larger bit at no charge! Sean was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, very helpful and clearly loves his job! He explained things very well and put our minds at ease. I had a lot of extended family over the day he came and they too were very impressed with him (they would even consider switching to Water Works and specifically Sean in their own home). We were so happy with the overall experience, we signed a service plan with Water Works (includes 24 hr emergency service, heavily discounted prices, no service charge, yearly maintenance tune-ups etc.). I have finally found my plumber! We have already gotten quotes from them for future projects. We highly recommend.
