Precision, cleanliness was adequate, but not exceptional. I'm going to have to go in and touch up trim where paint dripped. Also, they neglected to paint two indentations that were the same color as the walls. Advance communication was fine but my wife had trouble reaching the office on the day of the job. She said the guys at the house were very professional and polite.

Did a great job. Gave us a fair price on the extras that weren't part of the coupon. Room was a challenge in that both the walls and the trim had been a very dark color, tough to cover. They completed the job quickly and professionally, cleaned up everything, and were extremely polite and professional.

First of all it took 2-3 weeks to book with the booker initially returning an earlier booking request @ 8:30 on a Friday evening. Christian was punctual on the date of work, and the room is complete, but upon further scrutiny there are some disturbing results. Examples of inadequate preparation or downright unprofessionalism regarding this type of work include: 1. not removing coverplates except for the 2 gang switch at room entrance and painting around outlets 2. paint splatter on furniture that I had relocated off of walls to provide adequate access not properly covered 3. paint splatter on rugs & closet doors 4. cleaning of painting utensils in master bathroom sink; This is particularly irksome due to the fact that we have a septic system and latex paint can damage or inhibit septic systems! I would not recommend EC or Protect Painters to anyone. I realize this is a $99.00 deal however these contractors sign-up for these deals in order to quote additional work once their foot is in the door. We have substantial additional work, but after getting the "C or D" team in for the Angie's List deal we would not hire EC or Protect for ANY additional work.

The work was very well done. He was extremely fast in painting the room and the quality was very good also. He cleaned up perfectly and made sure all of the corners were cut accurately. We were very pleased with the results.

Christian was a bit late, but that was because it turned out I was not in his service area. However, rather than let me down, Christian came anyway, travelling out of his way to get to me. This was very much appreciated, because his workmanship was superb. He and a colleague got right to work, moved all my furniture away from the walls, and placed drop cloths on the floor. Some of the furniture pieces were big and heavy, but that did not pose a problem. The two worked perfectly together, fast and neat. They were finished in two hours. All the furniture was put back in place, and they even swept out the areas where the pieces had been against the wall before replacing them. The finished result is just beautiful and I couldn't be more happy; I feel like I am in a new house! I would add that Christian is pleasant and professional, a pleasure to talk to, just a very positive person. Christian put me immediately at ease, and instilled confidence that he would do a fine job. On this, he did not disappoint.

Christian was punctual. I wanted the painting to be done asap. They were ready to do the job next day. Christian informed me that he was having problem with his van and running late (good to be informed). He came prepped the room and painted it super fast. I am very happy with the work.

Chris was a true professional. Provided a good estimate and completed the job the next day. The rooms look great and everything was put back to where it was. Will recommend him to friends and family.

Working with Christian and his team was a great experience. Christian came out to give me an estimate (on a saturday) day after I called him. He gave me a good price so I decided to hire him. We arranged a date and time to start - and his team showed up on the dot the morning of the first day. Christian estimated the work would take 2-3 days and they were right on time (started Tuesday and finished Thursday). The paint job is very good. The patches were well done and the coverage was good. I had colored walls in the living and dining rooms. I decided to go back to white. You cannot see the color bleed through. They even removed (and carefully stored) some curtains that I had neglected to remove before they started their work. After finishing the job, they cleaned all the floors. They even touched up some doors and trim that I didn't ask them to do. Very professional and courteous. I'm very happy with this provider and would recommend him to other users on Angie's List.

Christian and his crew did a fantastic job painting my condo. I sent Christian a message on 12/26/15 and he met with me on 12/28/15 to give me an estimate for the work I wanted done. After picking out the colors I wanted, I scheduled Christian to come on Monday 1/4/16 to complete the work. He told me it would be 1-2 days of work depending on how many guys he could get to work there on the first day. Christian called me on Tuesday the 5th to tell me he finished painting. After stopping by the condo to look at the work, I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Everything was extremely neat and well done throughout the condo. I told Christian I would be replacing the carpets and that he didn't have to worry about getting paint on them. Knowing this, Christian and his crew were still extremely careful and did not get any paint on the carpet. Overall, they did a great job cleaning up after all the work was completed. I also told Christian I would be removing the back-splashes and counter tops in my kitchen at some point. He said they could take care of the back-splashes and counter-tops so they could paint properly. During the first day of work, he gave me a call and asked if it was ok to take down the microwave so he could completely remove the back-splash. I had originally told him he could cut the back-splash and just leave the part that was hidden behind the microwave. He didn't want to cut the back-splash and preferred to remove it completely. His crew removed and disposed of the back-splashes along with one of the counter tops. They also loosened the counter by my sink so they could paint properly. A few days after the work was completed, Christian met with me to make sure I was happy with the job and explain everything they had done. I will definitely be hiring Christian in the future.

This is the second time we used ProTect and Christian Cruz. These guys are great at what they do, care about their work and are reasonably priced. In my first review I mentioned how I was unhappy with the first company that painted our house and how much of a relief it was to find Christian and Robert. They fixed all of the problems/lines the other company messed up. We decided we wanted to put in recessed lighting so the electrician had to cut holes in the walls for the install. It was a HUGE relief to know that we did not have to worry about getting the wall repainted because we found a company that we trusted. I called Christian and he picked up in Columbia. Yes, that is correct, IN COLUMBIA. He told me that he was in the airport and would be arriving the following day. We met up for the quote the same day he arrived back home and they painted the next day. I can't recommend this guys enough. In a world of people who say they can paint, but can't it is great to find a family owned, honest/trustworthy company that does a great job. Do yourself a favor and call these guys first. Thank me later...:)

Did a fantastic job. We needed our colonial house exterior painted. Called EC Painting because of good reviews and we were delighted with their service. Christian - the owner - came next day to provide a quotation. He explained all details of the project, presented his license and insurance and printed out a quote immediately with his mobile printer. We could tell he was proud of his company. Christian also showed us references of paint jobs performed by his company. Based on the good offer he made we did not look any further and actually even had his team paint some rooms inside the house as well. The exterior paint job was performed in a remarkable manner. He came with a big crew and had the job done (full exterior painting with three colours) in one day. Our neighbours stopped when driving by and congratulated us on the new house! Christian offered me to inspect the full work and point out any spots which needed a touch-up. I did so and he came back the next day to paint over the few spots I found. Interior was also painted in no time. Fully satisfied we would hire them for the next project and would recommend them in a heart beat!

When Christian first came out, he did a great job on the estimate- gave us a fair price- not the cheapest but not the most expensive either- but what really sold us was how Christian assured us we would be amazed by the work and extremely happy. He said they pay attention to all detail which is super important. When the time finally came, Christian and his crew which consisted of 3 other guys showed up on time and ready to work. I was on site but made a point of staying out of their way- these are professionals and they know what they are doing. As it turns out, I was mistaken. Basically they didn't do anything I would have expected professional painters to do- they didn't sand down the walls or apply caulk where needed- they basically just applied the paint to the wall. They didn't fill in any nail holes- they just painted over them. In the family room, they kept touching the ceiling with the wall paint so they just patched it up with white paint which didn't match the rest of the ceiling so now I have white blotches everywhere. They painted the closet doors shut in the kids room. They dripped paint in many locations- some places didn't get painted at all! Overall, not a professional experience in the least and extremely disappointing after Christian did such a good job selling it. In fairness, after my initial complaint they did offer to come do touch ups on a couple of occasions but I wouldn't allow it. "missing a spot" is one thing but overall sloppy work is not acceptable or fixable when you sell and bill yourself as a professional service.

A lot of the reviews on Christian are very positive. If it was not for the fact that I had PAINT PEELING off the walls 8 months after completion of the job, my review would have been very positive too. Yes, he was very easy to work with; yes, he was polite; yes, he arrived on the agreed day and finished the job on time; yes, he was very accommodating to any requests/suggestions when he was on the job...HOWEVER, I needed him to come back to deal with PEELING PAINT on the foundation and this is where everything went completely downhill. I called him around April 2015 on his mobile phone. He asked me to e mail his office and they would put me in for an appointment. I sent the e mail as requested. A week later I called and left him a message on his mobile as I received no response to my e mail. I also received no response from this message either. The summer is busy for me so I suspended following up again until September when I received a generic e mail telling me it was the anniversary of him painting my house. This prompted me to e mail him again to remind him about my situation (sent Oct 6th) I also sent pictures of the peeling paint- I received no response. On Oct. 11th I resent the same e mail. I received the following response, "I can come tomorrow. Do you have paint?" I replied I had the paint he left me and asked what time tomorrow he would arrive -NO RESPONSE. HE NEVER CAME THE FOLLOWING DAY. Oct. 13th I e mailed him again. On October 22nd, he eventually responded saying that he tried to contact me several times....I have NO MISSED CALLES from his cell phone and NO VOICEMAIL from him either. I also included my cell phone in the event he had a wrong number. He said he would come and repair the paintwork but added that because the peeling paint was on the foundation and moisture could occur here the paint would end up peeling off again. I responded and asked whether there was a day he could meet with me at my house so we could look at the paintwork together and then come up with a suitable way solving the problem. To date I HAVE STILL NOT HEARD BACK FROM HIM. I went to Sherwin Williams (this is the paint I used) I explained my problem, I showed them pictures and they asked me a variety of questions. We also discussed the possibility of moisture as Christian had mentioned this. Their opinion was that if the foundation had been correctly prepared I most likely would not have had this problem. They have explained exactly what I need to do to prep this wall before applying the paint. They feel if I follow their instructions the peeling will NOT recur. I hired a professional painter to paint my house and now I am going to have to do the repairs myself. Only time will tell whether Sherwin Williams is correct and the paint holds or whether Christian is correct and the paint starts peeling again. Either way he could have handled this matter so much more professionally. Why do businesses put more priority on the customer they want as opposed to the one they have? It would have been so easy for him to have taken 30 minutes out of his day to set up a time to meet and we could have resolved this. To think I was impressed that he offered a 2 year guarantee! The truth of the matter is that it could have been a 10 year guarantee because when you don't show up - your guarantee is meaningless. I realize I need to become a member of Angie's list for this review to be applied to his rating on the account so I will do this in the upcoming week. My ratings are heavily weighted on post customer service as opposed to on the job dealings.

We made the mistake of allowing our general contractor to paint our house rather than professional painters; he used his own guys that were horrible. The paint lines of the wall leaked into the ceiling and vice versa. they were sloppy and unprofessional They attempted to fix it, but only made matters worse. My wife and I decided to look for professional painters who would and could fix the job which is where Christian Cruz came in. We contacted his office and spoke to his secretary on a Friday and scheduled an appointment on Sunday. We received an automated email confirming the appointment on Sat and Christian arrived on time on Sunday. He was flexible with the time to do the work. He wanted us to be there while the work was being done so we could see it and be happy with the result which was very important to us. Robert came that Wed and fixed the lines in the big room as well as the trim. He was great. He also noticed some other imperfections that he took care of at no extra cost. Robert was professional and talented. Now that we are comfortable with him and his work we are going to request him to clean up some other paint issues that we have around the house. You can really tell the difference between someone who can paint if asked and a professional painter. These guys are professional painters. Had we known we would have hired them from the start. We will be using them to fix some other paint issues very soon.

. From our first meeting with Christian, we knew he and his crew would do a professional job. He presented his company with pride and honesty. His fees were lower than other well-known painters, and he offered more service. When he told us how quickly he would have our house completed, we couldn't believe it! This is because he has many family members and friends working for him. And they were ALL just as professional as Christian. This whole job took just 2 days-one for power-washing, and one for painting. Unbelievable! They did a beautiful job and did everything they said they would do. And when it was all done they asked us to walk all around the house and tell them if there was anything we were unhappy with. Needless to say, there wasn't, but if we did have a complaint, they would have addressed it and changed it. We recommend Christian and his crew with high praise, and would have him back in a heartbeat! Thank you, Protect Painters for giving us a beautiful house!

Very Prompt response to initial request and quoted service, then it went downhill. Had to call him multiple times to get the job scheduled. Quality of work was poor, primer still showing through the paint job. He screwed up the door knob and lock and painted over a part of the hardware. Cleaned up on the lawn leaving paint spots all over the grass. Would never use him again. After I posted this review he claimed the job wasn't finished. However on the day he left he wanted payment in full. I really don't want him back. He should have done the job correctly the first time. Why was paint left on my lawn and shrubs??? Why was the locking mechanism on the door not put back in correctly? Sorry, I think you trying to cover your self here. Not interested in working with you further.

Christian arrived promptly to give estimate. Hired him immediately and work was completed within a week. Workers arrived on time and finished job same day. They even painted an extra room. Have more painting to do will definitely hire again

Christian and his team were amazing! I had just fired an incompetent contractor and was short on time. His team painted the entire interior of our home in a day and a half - as promised - over Memorial Day weekend! Prompt, efficient, clean, great quality. Would highly recommend to anyone.

First off, the team is fast - all of them - Christian, Robert, Martin, and there are 2 more, a really nice gentleman but i didn't get his name! I almost did not go with them because I usually don't go with "chain" or franchise painters. Perhaps under the mistaken belief that they are less likely to care about quality and service compared to an owner of a small business. But the first time i met Christian, he instantly put me at ease. He is efficient and detailed. His quote was also one of the lowest. The crew was very efficient, and worked very fast. Is it a 100% detailed job? No. I would rate it a 9 out of 10 because there were a few spots that they missed under the siding. But they were so friendly, efficient and care about service that if i were to call Christian up and tell him to paint those spots i'm sure they would. I just haven't had the time to do so and so it's not their fault. But consider this. I've had people quote twice the price, and would they do a job twice as good? I doubt it since this in my mind is already a 9/10 work, defined by it looks very professional, all the lines are straight, very few uneven spots, and fast and clean. One thing i really appreciated was how they went above and beyond. Two reasons. First, when i almost cried after regretting my color selection, a dark grey, turn out almost black, Christian called the Sherwin Williams rep to swing by. Perhaps in order to help me negotiate a discount rate for potentially needing to buy 40 gallons of another paint color. I didn't ask him to do that. And certainly i took full responsibility and was willing to pay for changing mind. Second, after painting the front door, they installed a new door handle which proceeded to develop a problem locking and unlocking shortly after they left. The whole team of 5 people came back the next day at 6 PM after they had finished with another paint job and troubleshooted at the lock for at least an hour until they fixed the problem. Given that they're not actually responsible for fixing any doors, they're now 10/10 in my books for just taking the time and dealing with a problem, just because there was one. Also, Lina, the coordinator is fantastic, prompt, efficient and just a really friendly person who is remarkably service oriented.

They were very professional. They were on time and did a great job. They had to come back to do the ceiling since it wasn't included in the deal. They worked with my schedule and were very accommodating and very pleasant to work with.

Christian called me soon after I made a request for an estimate. He came to our place the next date and priced the job. I felt that the price was so fair that I did not look any further. His painters were here after only a couple of days and finished the job in one day. Our place looks fantastic. They did a great job and left the place immaculate. I liked the fact that Christian would stop by through out the day to supervise the job and make sure that things were done correctly. We have a lot of rooms to paint and we will definitely stay with this company. We will recommend them to our friends without hesitation.
