Description of Work: Refinished kitchen cabinets, which are natural oak. Instead of replacing the knobs, Jim was able repair and paint them, so I could keep my original design.

Description of Work: We discovered Jim Blanche's refinishing when he was referred to us by our painter who is incredibly talented and a stickler for detail. And his recommendation was even better than we expected. To date, Jim Blanche has incredibly restored an antique cedar chest, two antique radio cabinets, a beloved walnut salad bowl, and more. Jim's craftsmanship and knowledge about refinishing is incredible. When one takes pride in the things that one purchases, it is a false savings to try to save money on craftsmanship. In such cases, you usually get what you pay for. Doing refinishing work properly not only requires knowledge, the proper tools, a proper workshop, but more importantly, the love of your work. For each project that we gave Jim, the workmanship far exceeded our expectations even though we had used him before. When it comes to furniture refinishing, I would never, ever consider anyone else........and Jim's prices are very reasonable for the extremely high quality of his work!
