Steedle Moving & Storage Inc

This was my second move in a year, and I used Steedle both times. The first move went so well I not only used them again, but also referred them to the next person moving into my old apartment. They show up as scheduled, on time and work like beasts until the job is complete. I did not have a single issue either time with damage of any kind. They treated my home and belongings with respect, and that is much appreciated.

Steedle Movers moved me from my 2-bedroom apartment to my 3-story, Cape Cod-style house. Once at the house, they moved existing furniture around for me, including moving heavy items up the tight basement steps to the trash. They also made a third stop to a storage unit several miles away. I felt it was a good deal for three men from 8:45 AM to 5 PM with multiple stops. All men were professional and hard-working. They only stopped for lunch when I encouraged them to do so, and even then they only stopped for a 1/2 hour. They were on time, starting at 8:45 in the morning. They came prepared with some boxes and other packaging materials, as requested. They dismantled some furniture that I planned to keep in a storage unit. The men also helped us come up with ideas for how to get some large, heavy, and awkwardly-shaped items up out of and down into the basement. I would definitely recommend them for anyone who has a difficult move ahead of them.

The professionalism and going above and beyond started and ended with helping us keep furniture that was hard to fit in new apartment. Went out of there way to make sure we got to keep a chair and ottoman we were sure we would have to give to charity. Chair's legs were taken off and even then it was difficult to maneuver in our smaller entrance ways. One chair leg couldn't easily be put back on. The president of the company came back to our new home a few weeks later and put the chair leg on, albeit a relatively difficult task but easy for him. We were glad, as well that one of his staff was willing to purchase a couch that couldn't be brought to our new apartment. All in all we were glad to provide him not only his boxes back but other good boxes he can offer future customers.

They did a great job packing and transporting. Everything was moved quickly and efficiently. A couple of items unfortunately did break but they offered to have them evaluated and to give us the cost of repairs. They were professional and courteous. I also never saw anybody move as much as quickly. The only complaint: Their storage facility. Items got some mildew, even though they assured us that this would not happen. However, the piano and stereo components got though just fine. Items were stored for over two months until the next house was ready.

Graebel's moving quote was over $500 extra, but we bit the bullet and used them. The men were VERY slow, and the process took forever. Then, they tacked-on another $500+ in extra fees after the move. We feel we were screwed by Graebel, and would definitely use Steedle in the future

Poor quality move. only 2 men and one was not able to carry much. He threw up as the move progressed.

They did an excellent job , in less time than estimated, and came in just under the estimate. Pleasant experience and I would use them again.

Movers were very professional and moved everything quickly and efficiently. Even moved things that I couldn't get out of my house. Would definitely use again.

Steedle gave me a binding estimate and worked with us through every step of the process. My husband was still in NJ when I and my 5 children moved in to our home in SC. That could have been a recipe for disaster, but the guys went above and beyond to ensure that we were moved in on time and without any hitches! We loved them so much that we are actually using them (next week) to move us back again (my hubby's job transferred him back to NJ). I can't give enough praise to Steedle for the hard work and patience they showed us throughout our move. Patrick was AMAZING and soooo laid back and easy to work with. And John and the other movers are extremely courteous and hard working. All of my possessions arrived in tip top shape and they were actually waiting for me to arrive in SC. LOVE THEM!!!

The Steedle Crew was very punctual, packed several special handling items, loaded and transported a large amount of goods, and did so without damage or breakage. They were professional and very cooperative. Most importantly, they ensured the final placement of all the items was as requested.

This is the second time I've used Steedle. Denise and Patrick are very responsive from the initial inquiry till x ompletion. The three men who packed and moved were personable hard workers who consistently asked questions on what to pack and where to place the items once unloaded. They spent no time chit chatting amonst themselves, and were constantly on the move. They also were very careful with removing and replacing the exterior doors as I had a big refrigerator they had to contend with. Packing and moving is stressful enough-using Steedle lessens any anxiety one may have regarding this!

I highly recommend this company. The guys were professional, fast and most importantly honest. We were quoted at $1500.00 and the final cost was $1331.00. Nothing but great things to say about their team. Nothing was damaged or broken. We were very pleased.

more than the move acThe movers were there exactly when they said they would, at 8:30 am. There were 4 guys and they did a fantastic job. They had all our possessions in the trucks by 11:30. The original estimate given to me by Patrick Steedle was about $400 more that the move actually cost. They movers were so great that we were happy to give them a generous tip. They were so careful with everything and absolutely nothing was damaged or broken in any way, including a large flat screen TV and two computers. We couldn't be happier with the service we received. Highly recommend this company.

I moved from Cherry Hills to my residence and I sold place there and had everything moved down here and they came when they said they were going to and they packed everything and came today. They came when they said they were going to be here and they couldn’t have been nicer. I even bought them lunch because they were so nice and so terrific. They just left hours ago and I will never do it again. I have moved four times probably in the last 15-16 years and they are by far best movers. It is just nice to work with. They go out of their way and ask if they can do this or if I want them to unpack this? Or can they move this? Or do I want them to put the rugs down and move my furniture? And that’s far and above and so much better than other movers that I have used and I have used big name movers but they are excellent. They are not a huge outfit but they are good and when they tell me they are doing something they will do it. It is very refreshing to deal with somebody like that. They cleaned up everything they possibly could and offered to do more and next time I said I have a women coming in and my friend is an interior decorator and I said if you put the rug down she might say not to but I want a rug here and blah, blah blah, so they said they will do if I want and I said it is okay. They said they will take clothes out of the wardrobe if I want to and I said no and I will take those out and I just have to put it on the bed. They took all the boxes and stuff with them. They unloaded some things in my car for me and they were good. It was almost like working with the friends instead of a company. Denise, in their office is very, very helpful. She calls back when she says she is going to and they are good out there. They are reliable and ethical. I chose them over other company because of their attitude and their attitude was we want to help you and we will do whatever you want to do. The fellows that they brought were all upbeat and happy and no eye rolling when asked if they could do this or that which I really didn’t ask but they offered to do most things. They said what they can do. They didn’t stack the boxes and were out of the door but they wanted to know if there was anything else that we could do. They were good and extremely giving and helpful. They couldn’t park the van near the condominium which is a huge building and there are 300 apartments here and they parked it way away from the building and they trucked all the furniture to where they could get it and bring it up here. They were excellent workers. I have dealt all the others but they are far above excellent. I would recommend Steedle to my family in New Jersey who are moving and some friends who are thinking of moving also and I really think they would be happy with them.

Very good. From quote to service and move they were very good. Moving team was great. Also knew that we have contracted with them for another move in a few weeks. They made us feel like customers rather than just another job.

Patrick Steedle estimated the job and sent written estimate with costs itemized, along with electronic versions of various publications defining responsibilities, liabilities, and avenues of mitigation. We agreed on a two day move and dates. Tony and a crew of five showed up and had the goods on board the truck in just a couple of hours. They were quick and courteous. Delivery day Tony called about an hour before arrival confirming arrival time. His team of three had the truck off loaded and the furniture placed, as we requested, again in a remarkably short time.

For this secnd move, I called on Thursday, March 13, 2014, and Patrick Steedle came out for an estimate the next day. Terms and conditions were clearly explained and we hired the company to move us the following Monday, March 17th. Casey, Tony and Matt arrived on time in a snowstorm and didn't stop for a little over 5 hours. The house was only partially furnished, but virtually every piece but for the couch, loveseat and fridge was antique. They took great care moving and placing each piece. To speed things along, I had placed stickies on everything noting whether it was for storage or the house, and if for the house, which room it was to go. This helped with loading the truck efficiently so that the storage items could be offloaded first, items for the main floors of the house second (through the front door) and items for the basement last (though the back bilco doors). They were very accomodating and patient. I don't know how most people are, but we are definately hands on, so we were very visible and involved the whole day, hence the appreciation of their patience. This was not a pleasant move as it was cold, windy and snowing most of the day, but they completed the job only 15 minutes beyond the estimated 5 hours. I can't comment upon whether or not the pricing is good because I didn't call any other company. I can say that when I recommended Steedle to my niece in the fall, she didn' hire them because their estimate was higher than others. She also spent 2 months after her move dealing with lawyers after the final bill far exceeded the estimate, some items never showed up at the new house and the owner of the company repeatedly claimed he raised the final price because he never saw many of the items they had agreed would be moved (including all of the furniture on the deck where he stood when preparing the estimate). I relay this info simply to make the point that price shouldn't be the only deciding factor when hiring a company. I was very appreciative that Patrick honored an Angie's List coupon that I found after his original estimate. There were a few minor gliches, but Patrick came back to the house and all is good.

Congratulations, you found your moving company!!! Look no further Ive done all the research for you and couldnt be happier with our choice to use Steedle. Moving is stressful, but you wont be on moving day with this company. The price is the best you will find which is amazing since the level of service we received by our moving team and the people in the office was as good as it gets. I cant say enough good things about our crew on moving day. Two guys loaded and one in the truck organizing/packing. They worked hard, fast, but were very careful. Plus they were really nice, very polite and pleasant to have in our home. Left me wishing I moved more often.

Steedle was very professional. Pat arrived on time to evaluate my moving and packing needs. He was very professional, answered all of my questions, and then provided a written estimate by email when he said he would. Diane in the office was also very helpful and coordinated the scheduling. She kept me updated on timing when we had to slightly modify the days and times for packing and moving. Pat provided a clear and fair estimate. He also gave me the option to select a binding estimate (fixed price) or a non-binding estimate that would fluctuate with the actual weigh of the goods being moved (based on truck weights before and after loading). I selected the binding estimate he offered. His estimate ended up being much closer to the true weight and value of my goods than estimates I received from other companies. I learned the actual weight of my goods was a little higher than estimated (but still substantially lower than estimates from other companies). Because I selected the binding option, there were no price increases. I have heard troubling stories on the news about movers increasing the price at delivery and holding goods hostage unless the owner pays a higher price on delivery. I experienced none of these problems with Steedle. There were NO SURPRISES. Everything was very up front, fair, and courteous. This made it easy for me to budget and plan. The team of men who handled the move (including Pat, Matt, Casey, and Pete) worked very hard and took meticulous care of my goods. They painstakingly inventoried every box and piece of furniture prior to putting it on the truck. Each piece of furniture was carefully wrapped. They disassembled some pieces as necessary, and then carefully put each one back together on delivery. They delivered my goods in a timely manner and placed them where I wanted. They even helped rearrange some of the furniture as I requested. I highly recommend Steedle Moving and Storage.

The estimator came out ahead of time at my convenience and gave me information and a quote. On the day of the move, the 3 gentlemen that were sent from Steedle were prompt and did a great job. They took great care of my belongings, and moved me without any incident. They asked me where boxes went if they weren't marked correctly and placed furniture and items where I want it. They put together the beds and even helped me with bedskirts. The total value was to the penny of the quote. I have nothing but very positive reviews for this company.

They finished faster than planned, and I got a refund. They were punctual and professional.

He did an excellent job. He was very courteous with our belongings from packing to inventory, providing a smooth transition from my old home to the new. He is professional and punctual and I would recommend him to anyone needing to move.

Steedle Moving and Storage was fantastic. The guys were quick and easy to deal with. They even moved things around after bringing them inside when we changed our mind about where something should go. I've dealt with other moving companies in the past and STEEDLE IS BY FAR THE BEST ONE!! I will recommend them to anyone looking for a mover.
