We just moved into our new home 3 weeks prior and there was an issue where we could not find the breaker for 1 side of our house we flipped every switch but the switch was no where to be found. We called up Swenson since he was an electrician who was recommended by the new neighbors committe in my town. He came out the next day and seemed very nice and but little did we know what we were in store for.
He used the scare tactic of your house has a great potential to catch on fire. Saying that caused us to pretty much just want to get it done even though we should have thought about it first. He started the work the next day he said he charged per hour We assumed that the most it would take was 2 days this is what he quoted us on. but that is when the snowball became a landslide. We inquired about other little things such as installing light fixtures were there was none. He started to convincemy wife that we should put in a gas line for out dryier and switch it from electrical to gas. It took him 4 days to run it and he never hooked it up saying when we get the drier he would come back out and install it.
We ended up spending close to 10k for 2 fans 2 light fixtures tracing of outlets rewiriing them and drilling holes into my support joists to run a gas line that is not hooked up. ALSO we asked for a bill everysingle time we even went as far a putting a stop payment but a miscommunications on my part caused him to clearly take me for alot of money. I have since then never trusted anyone who says the sky is falling
I WILL TELL EVERYONE TO STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SNAKE OIL SALES MAN I EVEN REPORTED HIM TO THE BBB AND THEY DECIDED TO CLOSE THE CASE EVEN THOUGH I SUBMITTED E-MAIL FROM HIM IN RESPONSE TO ALL THE ISSUES I HAD THEY GAVE HIM A RATING OF AN F
