Mr. Yauch came in and quickly assessed the problem with our over the counter microwave. It took a week to get the parts but an appointment was quickly scheduled and my microwave is functioning. If I were to buy new and have it installed it would have been over $400. Price to repair was very reasonable and I am happy with the service.

I called Jeff at 12:45 PM and got his voicemail, so I left a message explaining my problem. He called me back on the same day at 2:00 PM telling me he was finishing a job up in the area and could be at my house in the next half hour. I left work and drove home to meet him (he was already waiting in front of my house). He came inside, and told me that he did not hear the fan running in the freezer and that was likely the issue. He helped me unload my freezer into boxes so he could access the back panel. He then checked an verified that the fan was able to spin and that the motor was receiving power, but it wasn't running so it clearly had died. He told me he thought he had the necessary part in his truck, and even if he didn't there was a place nearby that did that he would run to and pick up. Luckily, he had the part in his truck, replaced it and put it back in the freezer. He then noted that ice had formed in the drip tray under the coils and that the defrost drain was likely clogged. He broke up the ice, unclogged the drain and then put my freezer back together. The whole process took about 20-30 minutes and he charged me $138 (for reference, another person I had called quoted $130 just to come out and give an estimate). He was professional, helpful, and very efficient. I would certainly use his services again and recommend him to anyone else.

It went great. Called early in the morning and he set a time to stop by in the early afternoon (same day); arrived well within the time window. Addressed the refrigerator issue (faulty control board) as he had the part on-board his truck. Gave us a straight-forward resolution, reasonable price and fixed the problem. For the washing machine, as another reviewer mentioned, when its time to replace, its time to replace and JY said that the repairs are not worth it, so get a new machine. Appreciated the upfront, no nonsense approach. Would recommend him for any appliance repair or at least a discussion, as he will tell you upfront if he can service a particular brand or not.
