 + 0 moreCraig R Stock Landscape Design have a good reputation in town and some good ideas. We instead chose the company that had ideas that were more fitting to what we wanted, it was a little more economical, and a little different than what we conceived. They were personable. They were a good choice, we just went with the other company.
Description of Work: We had an estimate from Craig R Stock Landscape Design. We wanted them to do some yard work, including removing some bushes and planting others.

 + -1 moreWe love him. He lives in our neighborhood and he is kind of a neighborhood guy so we have really good feedback. He knows his plants, he knows his planting and he is very involved in the landscape design. Oftentimes he is very involved in the work itself so even though he is an owner, he is more of a hands-on kind of guy. I like his knowledge of plants and his personal involvement and he knows us. He knows the people, not just as an invoice. Where he falls down a little bit is his timeliness to return quotes. If someone does not know him and they are looking for something and their expectation is they are going to get a quote back in twenty-four to forty-eight hours, he is a little slow on the quoting. His price is a little on the high side but it is funny because on some things I find him to be definitely higher but on the fall clean up comparing him to one of the local guys around here, he is like a third of the price. I think once he gets to know you, if he sees a tree stump in your yard, he will take it off one day. That is just the kind of guy he is. We will absolutely use him again. He is going to do tree planting for us in the spring. We will use him ongoing, no doubt.

 + -1 moreVery, very well. I hadn't even considered grade as an issue. He rectified it seamlessly. Sod is vigorous. He turned me on to a better brand of fertilizer not stocked at the big box store. I now have the best lawn on the street!
Description of Work: Craig & his crew completely re-graded my front lawn, and planted sod. He is not your average landscaper -Having been to 4 year university learning everything there is to know about plants, Craig understands all the nuances of landscaping, from landscape design, matching your zone, exposure, soil compatibility and augmentation, feeding, pruning, watering schedules to keep your landscaping investment looking it's best. when I see an exceptional landscape, I always ask ' Who did that?" the answer is almost always Craig Stock. Not the cheapest, but he if you are like me, I shop value, not price. He's the best value. He does things right the first time, so you're not paying a second time for a cheap job where they cut corners you weren't aware of. My dad used to say "do it right, and do it once." I'm sure he believes in the same philosophy. R.W.

 + -1 moreHe is not a mow and blow guy. He is incredibly knowledgeable, and has a four year degree relating to plants. He connects and listens well to customers. He provides great advice. He is a hard worker. He is the not the cheapest, but it is a very good value.
