+ -1 moreI called Laura with some questions about a potential house deal. We weren't yet under contract, which I was up front about in my initial message. She called me back within 15 minutes, and spent quite a bit of time on the phone with me explaining not only the finer points of what to expect from a pool inspection, but doing some internet research on the property in question to talk to me about specifics. She was friendly, patient, and knowledgable. If we do reach the point of needing a pool inspection, I won't hesistate to call her.

+ -1 moreJeff was fantastic and is very experienced. He conducted a winterized inspection and looked at everything he could possibly see with the pool. He took off the cover, checked the liner and cap, opened the filter, checked the heater and the pump/motor, as well as reviewing the plumbing and fixtures. He inspected the diving board, gates and fences, and evaluated the steps into the pool. He explained everything along the way and gave us some pool care tips about what we could do ourselves and what we should have done professionally. He clearly loves his job and he was great to talk to while he worked. He answered all of our questions and was really patient and professional. As far as the office management, we got a call back the same day, and had our contract emailed to us and everything was explained in advance. Highly recommended.

+ -1 moreI contacted them to schedule a same day pool inspection for a real estate purchase. Since the pool has been closed for over a year, she explained to me what needed to be done before a good inspection can be performed. I am glad she took the time to explain to me the limitation of the possible work, and saved me a few hundred of dollars. Even though we did not hire them this time because of the time constraint, I will definitely contact them in the future if needed.

+ -1 moreLaura was a pleasure to speak to on the phone and assisted us with rescheduling our pool inspection several times. Jeff arrived an hour early to our inspection. He was extremely friendly and very informative. Jeff checked out the pool, equipment , surrounding deck and fence. He gave us wonderful advice, answered all of our questions and was a real pleasure to work with. We will definitely use Preferred Pool again if needed! Thank you Jeff and Laura!
Description of Work: Jeff performed a thorough inspection of the in ground pool at the property we are are purchasing. He also took the time to explain how the whole pool system worked and answered all of our questions. The inspection was performed on a Friday afternoon, and Jeff provided a detailed pool inspection report complete with pictures on Sunday night.

Jeff did the inspection and then walked me through all of the details, since I've never owned a pool before. I received a full report by email within 2 days of the inspection, and when I responded with some questions, I received prompt and helpful answers.

+ -1 moreCompany came highly recommended by our broker and home inspector.. which is a very good sign. Connected with Laura who set up an appt for a next day pool inspection. Very friendly and professional. Jeff came out to inspect the pool as promised. Super friendly and very knowledgeable. Gave us a proper inspection on the pool which included clear and detailed photos and text. He also inspected the fencing around the yard to make sure it was in line with city/state regulations. Throughout the inspection Jeff explained things in detail and offered some great advice on maintenance and upkeep. Could not be happier with the service provided. Would use again and recommend to anyone looking for a pool inspection.

+ -1 moreI had an excellent experience from the initial phone call through the final inspection report. We hired Preferred to inspect our pool in a house that we are buying. We are first time pool owners so they not only showed us the pool and anything we needed to know about it's health, but clearly explained all of the components. They offered many practical, low cost solutions to allow the pool to run better and low cost upgrades to have some of the equipment be more up to date. The inspector used to install and service pools before becoming an inspector exclusively so his knowledge was extensive. I would strongly recoomend them. They were on-time, thorough, the report came quickly (consistent to what we heard onsite) and their price is excellent.

+ -1 moreVery thorough assessment. Even dropped their price voluntarily when it became clear the inspection was simpler than most because it was clear the pool was not in safe condition. Very professional and responsive. Another pool inspection company wouldn't inspect our pool because it didn't want the liability but Preferred stepped up to make sure I knew whether or not it was safe for my family to use my pool. I am very happy with the service provided.

Description of Work: From the moment I called to schedule the appointment, I was confident that Preferred Pool Inspectors was the right choice. They were both extremely knowledgable and personable. Jeff and his wife were a pleasure to work with. Jeff took us through every facet of what needs to be done to open our pool this summer as well as suggestions on all of the options available for each fix. If you happened to miss anything that Jeff goes over, his detailed report will include areas needed to be fixed with photos of each. They did a thorough job of inspecting each component to the pool including the equipment, fence, and surrounding deck as well as tips for the future. As people who like to rely on reviews for choosing the partners and professionals we work with, we assure you not to let that stop you from using Preferred Pool Inspectors.
