MDL Electric LLC Cooling & Heating

I have had so many problems getting contractors to respond and come out to my home. This was not at all a problem with this company. They were so responsive I was shocked. The job was scheduled next day on two separate occasions. All the people I dealt with were friendly and professional and I got a strong sense of integrity from them.

they did an excellent job. Prompt and delivered what was agreed upon. miguel the owner is very personable and honest. his workers are very professional and knows their job very well. will defintiely recommend.

this was a generac generator. An electrical panel had to be installed in my basement also. It went well, and they were did all they said they would do. There are costs to generators that buyers may not be aware. There is a yearly maintenance cost of 267.00. My generator stopped working this winter. It goes off every Friday as a test and there is a light on it that should glow green. It did not go off and the light was red. The company came and started it right away. However, they said that one way I could make sure this would not happen is to purchase a winterizer kit. Since it was three days before we had a blizzard, I decided to get it installed for $481.00. I would think that generic would be able to make generators that would not need these kits? I gave the company all A's because they did do a good job, and were great at everything.

The installation went fine. The cables work great, were a big help during the recent snow. Reasonably priced and quality work. I will definitely use them again in the future.

The electric work was done quickly and professionally. Inspection was passed in a breeze. After the inspection was passed, his crew fixed up all the drywall that was affected and they cleaned up. Crew was courteous, respectful, and competent. Owner is kind responsive, professional and fair. He was up front about pricing and incredibly easy to work with. I just bought my place and have a go to electrician when needed.

This is a late review but the team that came out did a wonderful job. They bought new alarms and changed them out. They had also tested simultaneous activation due to a town inspection requirement of my townhouse. They were punctual and friendly. The inspection was passed!

The MDL crew was great. Quality work, responsive to calls and emails, arrived on time, worked efficiently and cleanly, and charged a fair price. All in all, everything I could ask for in a contractor.

I would hire MDL again for future work because they were professional and responsive to my questions and concerns before & after I hired them for the job. The owner performed the initial diagnosis on my electrical problem and explained in detail the issue and my options for a solution. I was especially impressed with their patience to answer all my questions & concerns about the job. The job was to fix a short that was occurring in my tenant's apartment where they had been without electricity for two days. MDL estimated one day to fix the short by running two new circuits into the apartment to replace a single 20AMP overloaded circuit into the apartment. Next they replaced old deteriorating wiring in three rooms. I am very happy with neat & clean work as they did not have to break any walls or run extra wiring around the outside of my house. I would recommend MDL Electric.

The staff was very prompt in returning the calls and scheduled the service within 24-48 hours. Arrived to perform the inspection in time and also arranged a rapid repair on the spot. The needed re-wiring of sub-panel was completed the same afternoon once the diagnose was done. It is amazing how fast they could get to the spot and resolve issues. Their response after the service was prompt too. Will recommend to others.

s he gave me a price for the repairs which i agree to pay for and we set a date for him to complete the repairs but he never show up and did not call. i guess he chooses what jobs he wants . a waste of my time.

We recently bought a new house that needed a panel upgrade and some old fixtures/switches/outlets replaced. When we first scheduled a walk through with Miguel he took his time to point out the different electric issues and what should be replaced. He was very thorough and fairly priced, so we decided to go with him for the electric work. Miguel and his guys were always on time and provided great service. The work was finished on schedule as he promised. He was also very easy to contact and responded quickly when I had questions. Miguel and his guys also coordinated the inspection with the town. I would definitely recommend Miguel and MDL electric to anyone who needs electric work done.

They are terrific. They come when they say they will and get the job done correctly and on time.

During my first meeting with Miguel, he walked through and inspected the entire house and identified all the problems which included: old knob and tube wiring at the electrical panel, improperly wired GFCI receptacles at the kitchen and bathroom, and other general wiring problems with receptacles throughout the house and the bathroom. Miguel explained that these items would need to be corrected in order for inspection to pass. He provided me with a quotation and after we agreed on the price, the work was performed as defined in the scope in a single day with a 3 person crew. There were no change orders or requests for additional money. After the work was performed, we scheduled an inspection with the Town's inspector and one of MDL's electricians waited for several hours until the inspector arrived, and walked through the home with the inspector. The inspection passed. This was a job well done and I would highly recommend MDL for all your electrical needs.

Initially, we made a couple of appointments which he couldn't keep. The reasons he was mentioning for missing them were simply justifications. For the first one it was traffic, the second one was the city inspector. The third one, they swore will be early in the morning at the house. He send two people in the morning the work was done, but they were no electricians. They just prepped the thing for his 'majesty' who came around 11 am. Around 2;30 pm, the electrician was in a rush because he had to go somewhere else in the same town. And he kept telling me that the work was almost done and it would be great if i give him the check. He insisted several times and assured me that he had given clear instructions to his people how to finish the job. i gave him the check and by 3;30 pm, they were done. First, they didn't clean up the mess they had done. Everywhere they worked, in my basement and in the backyard, they had carelessly thrown stuff around and didn't pick them up. There were parts of the pipes they cut, wires, and other stuff hidden in the yard's plants. The quality of work was low. it was sloppy done and i had to really cover and isolate some of the wires in the basement. I don't know how they have such high ratings in Angie's list. i will never hire them again.

While Miguel has not started the work on my house, I felt compelled to write a review on my experience so far. I recently purchased a home and I am doing a full house renovation. Once the walls were opened I was shocked to fine knob and tube wiring running through the entire house since the inspector stated that the electrical was upgraded. So now I need a full house rewire and I knew this was going to cost me a pretty penny to upgrade especially since this is a large home. His price was in line with other estimates I received. I walked through the house so many times but with the sellers table lamps gone, it was not until he pointed it out did I realize there was no hallway light; something none of the other electrician noticed either. He was very detail and explained a great deal and it was for that reason I selected him to do the upgrade.

MIGUEL THE OWNER IS A PROFESSIONAL IN HIS FIELD AND ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS WITH EXPERTISE. ISAAC AND JERSON WORK ALONGSIDE THE OWNER AND ARE EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE IN THE FIELD. JOB STARTED AND ENDED ON DAYS THAT WERE PROMISED. WHEN INSPECTOR CAME FOR REVIEW, EVERYTHING AS EXPECTED WAS A BREEZE. I COMPLETELY RECOMMEND MIGUEL WITHOUT ANY HESITATION. I WILL DEFINITELY CALL HIM ON ANY SMALL OR LARGE JOB TO BE DONE AT MY HOME.

They are very professional. It is such a joy speaking with Ms.Leoner in the office. She is very pleasant to talk and very accommodating with scheduling. Overall I was very satisfied. I have called them again for my new project - awaiting their quote for the new project.

MDL was great! Over the phone, they told me what to expect from an inspection and when my landlord wanted to talk with them they took the time to have that discussion. The only reason I didn't end up using them was because my landlord took over the project himself and ended up hiring another company. He wanted to save money--though, honestly, I think MDL's estimate of the work needed sounded very reasonable. The company my landlord hired gave him a lower estimate but ended up doing much of the work MDL said they expected to do in the first place--and, I imagine, charging him for it. MDL strikes me as straightforward and safety-conscious. I will definitely hire them if I need an electrian in the future.

He Provided an estimate of costs but he was booked for 2 weeks and I needed to get it done ASAP. So I couldn't use them

It went extremely well. The worker was knowledgeable and courteous.

He had to reschedule, but he did show up the same day, just a little later that day. He quickly determined the problem, it was a bad wall switch, and repaired it quickly.
