UNIQUE CONCRETE

We reviewed the contractor's website and were impressed by the stamping options, colors, etc. We were eager to have a stamped patio done for the summer. Like many contractors no one answers the phone during the day. While annoying this is how most contractors work, very few have office staff. Basically I left messages, my husband left messages and we finally got a return call. We had taken a week off from work and called the Sunday before in the hopes of having them coming out anytime the following week. My husband finally heard from the owner (I assume it was the owner). The owner told my husband that they are really busy and couldn't come out until the weekend. We were ok with this and my husband asked him to come out on Saturday. The owner then proceeded to tell my husband that he needs to be efficient with his time and inquired about how "well" we reviewed his website. My husband stated that we had reviewed the website, which is why were interested in an estimate. The guy basically gave us a price over the phone and insisted that we review the website again and to call him when we were serious. I was confused by this but thought maybe we missed something on the website. We got home reviewed it again and called to schedule them. We had to leave another voicemail. We stated that we wanted to move forward and schedule a time for Saturday. Several days later we had still not heard back from them. We've had multiple contractors come out and have no interest in dealing with this company. I called Unique to tell them not to bother calling us back, though I don't think they ever were going to. I left my feedback on the message stating that they in fact wasted our time and didn't appear to need or want to do business with us. We can't speak to the quality of their work but their lack of interest and responsiveness was upsetting and unprofessional. We understand that summer is a busy season for a patio but we didn't appreciate the contractor implying that we weren't serious enough to warrant his time. He may be overbooked and understaffed but should have found a more respectful way to explain that to us. His quest for "efficiency" has lost him work. We have another contractor lined up to start the job.

He is very reliable. He is neat and professional. He has good quality work, just outstanding.
