The service call itself was a bit high but I got an appointment right away and the technician was excellent. He definitely knew what he was doing. Very professional and courteous. Diagnosed, repaired and cleaned my entire unit within a half hour. I would recommend this company.

My husband & I purchased a gas fireplace amidst our house reconstruction. Being unsure of exactly what we wanted, they walked us through the different types & designs. I was very pleased with the service and the prices are reasonable. They came on time, did not make any mess, and the place looks great.

The installation was well done, technicians were great, everything seemed fine. Unfortunately, the logs created a smell (like gas, but not gas) while the fire was burning. We had the gas company come and check for leaks and they found nothing. Then I called East Coast in April and they said we should burn the logs on high with the vent open for a few weeks to burn off any residue. That didn't work, so we called again and they came in June and checked the position of the logs and tried it again. Since it was now so warm, we agreed with the technicians that we should wait for the cool weather to try them again. So, in the fall of 2016, we tried them again and the smell was even worse than before. When I called this time, I was told that the smell is almost always caused by something in the room with a fragrance, e.g. candles. So, I removed the few candles we had in the room and tried again. Same awful results. So I called again. This time I was offered a credit so I could get a set of vented logs. Unfortunately, I got rid of vented logs because I wanted to get some heat from the fireplace, so that was not an option. I then decided that I wanted the logs removed and sent back to the manufacturer for testing. They finally came to remove the logs in the middle of December. I call almost every week and am told that the manufacturer has not had time to test them yet. So, it has been more than a year and I still have no functioning logs. I guess you could say I am not happy.

Arrived on time and began servicing fireplace. Very clean. Came in with a blanket to spread out on the floor so there wouldn't be a mess. The tech was very knowledgeable and polite. I would recommend this company to anyone else. I will continue to use them in the future.

We had to get our plumber to re-route our gas line, but they installed the unit itself. They were prompt, friendly, clean and successful. We are very happy with our new fireplace, especially on cold nights!

Great experience working with the guys in LongBranch. The experience in the showroom was very good. The estimation process was professional. The installation went very well. Attention to detail, neat, timely, quick, friendly. High degree of craftsmanship. The size/output of the unit was perfect for the room--nice and warm on cold nights, but not overwhelming blast of heat. They marble/oak surround looks great. I've had them back for annual maintenance. Very satisfied and recommend them with confidence.

It went really well. From the beginning of the project at the showroom to the installation, they provided good communication and kept us up to date with delivery, provided a 3rd-party inspector to check out our chimney, and when they would be coming out to install the unit. At the showroom, they spent a lot of time with us to pick out the right unit for our space, and were patient with all of our questions. The insert provides the heat that we expected, and is a wonderful addition to our living room space. We use it almost daily from November through March, and to date, we've never had an issue. East Coast Energy recommends an annual cleaning as well, and we do as well - their service is very thorough, and while we've never had a problem, it's good piece of mind when working with gas in your living space.

10/13 I stopped in the store and received quotes for two different fireplace inserts. 10/17 I stopped back in the store and told them my choice and was told that someone would call me within 48 hours. 10/21 No one called me back so I called the store and was told that someone would call me to set up an appointment to check out my current fireplace and do the required measuring. 10/23 I called the store again. I spoke to the person who sets up appointments and was told that I am not on their list. She printed out my quote and set up an appointment for 10/28. 10/28 Someone came to my house and checked everything out. He was extremely knowledgeable and answered every question that I had. I gave him the permit papers for them to fill out. 12/3 Their plumbers arrived at the scheduled time to run the gas line and do some initial set up work. They covered all of the area from the door to the fireplace with drop cloths before beginning the job. They were very courteous and cleaned up when finished. 12/6 The newly installed gas line failed inspection because it was not grounded correctly and the gauge was bad. The gauge had to be replaced and retested. The plumber came back and made the changes. 12/9 The gauge and grounding passed inspection. However the insulation was inadequate (as per the specifications in the instructions) so it failed again. They came back and added more insulation. 12/10 Insulation was re-inspected and it passed. The insert was installed and hooked up. The gas fireplace works and looks great.

It has been approx 2 weeks and we have not received a phone call from this provider. I would never want another person to feel so uncomfortable as we did.

Overall, removal of old doors and installation of new, polished copper doors/antique copper frame custom-fitted doors and gate mesh went very well. Between the time we submitted the sales order at the East Coast Energy store, and the time it was scheduled for installation, Hurrican Sandy hit the Jersey Shore. Normally we would have expected the installation within 6 weeks of ordering, but the extra couple of weeks of delay were understandable. Gary did a great job matching, blending in with the existing mortar. He left the premises very clean, and reviewed instructions for safe fireplace use. The quality of the new Portland Willamette Ovation II doors is outstanding; they look much better than any doors we had seen elsewhere.

East Coast Energy Products installer, Matt, was professional and his service truck had all the parts and equipment required for the job to replace an old gas log set installed by the home's previous owners.. Upon inspection, it was revealed that the gas line currently supplying the old log set was not to Code and improperly sized and connected. Matt was able to install all the proper fittings with the supplies on his truck. He explained everything very well, and had everything fixed in four hours. He reviewed the manufacturer's warranty, instructions, and service requirements. He also had created a customized instruction sheet with easy-to-follow steps on using the log set. Very good installation and repair service experience.

I was very impressed with the showroom. I have been to other fireplace locations before and they are often dusty and dirty. This was beautifully kept with nice displays. They were very cooperative people. Everything was clean and very nicely presented. I got good response with people calling me to make arrangements. They are very courteous. The young man that worked with me through the process was very, very nice and knowledgeable. He was very helpful and answered all my questions. He was very good and I enjoyed working with him. They are efficient and professional. I can't talk about their price because I did not compare. I try to use local companies and used East Coast because they are local and because of my friend's recommendation. I originally went to them in November and they were here the 3rd week in December to install the basics and then we had to wait on the permit. The bureau did not call to say the permit was ready. A girl from the East Coast office, Leah, called and found out it was ready. It was nice she stayed on top of it. They were very considerate, on time and professional. They did a good job and I was very happy with them. I was happy with the price. I have beautiful logs and they work nicely. It looks nice and I am overall happy with the job.
