Dylan Hardwood Floors

Terrible, sanded around two large pieces of furniture, totally destroyed a section of parquet. I get that there was termite damage and the wood had to be replaced, but they didn’t even match the color and left a huge gap, that might have been helped with some putty. They kept promising to remedy, never did. I gave them every opportunity since October, I’m done. Will review on every site I can.

Dylan and his team Tommy and Kevin were top notch. The bid process was seamless, there were courteous and on time. Most importantly their work is superb! great job, they made sure they sanded perfectly and everyday they came over smoothed out any rough spots . great job, fair price. I wish I had more floors to give them ! hire them!

Our floors look amazing! They were very worn and had a lot of stains, but Dylan's team was able to sand it all out and make them look brand new. The team was prompt and professional and made the project very easy. I highly recommend them!

This is the review that will tell you everything you need to know about Dylan Dylan was reffered to me with glowing reviews from a close friend. From the first contact to the day of service he was timely, responsive, and professional. The day of service his team arrived EXACTLY on time and my wife and I left our new home ready to see our brand new hardwood floors. About an hour later I got a call from Dylan. The floor was irreparably damaged and he couldn't refinish or repair it. He finished tearing up the carpet and my wife and I hired someone else to put carpet down to cover what we now know to be floors that are damaged beyond repair But here's why YOU should hire dylan. He could have taken the job, done it poorly, and then walked away from the house. He could have made excuses about how the floor was my problem and taken my money but instead he talked HIMSELF out of a job because of his commitment to quality and good work. Anyone who talks themselves out of work because they can't do what they promised is going to do right by you. Hire dylan. Hire him twice if you can. You wont regret it

We recently purchased a new home and wanted the original hardwood floors hiding underneath old carpet in the living and dining area brought back to life. There was only a small window of time available between closing on the house and moving day, and we wanted the floors ready before moving ourselves and the furniture in. Dylan responded quickly to my voicemail and answered all questions. He had a team member out to inspect the floor and make an estimate within hours. That was on a Saturday, and the work began on Monday. The job was done by Wednesday and we were walking on it by Thursday morning. They also found a slow leak in a baseboard pipe while doing the work and arranged for it to be fixed without it interfering with their timelines. The finished product looks great and I cannot recommend them enough!

We bought 1924 fixer upper that had never been maintained. The wood was still good on the floors, but the finish was a mess, and had never been re-done. We wanted to go from natural oak floors, to a dark ebony/black stain. This was something Dylan floors had never done before, or at least not as dark as we were wanting. A few days before starting the job, Dylan brought over a few stains to test, and even did some research on a custom mix to get the color and depth of what we were wanting. His formula worked, and we gave him the keys, and went on vacation for a week. We were so happy when we returned to see the outcome. He and his team did an amazing job for the price they quoted, and with a beautiful outcome. I highly recommend them if you need your floors done.

We had difficulty finding a flooring company that could return a phone call or give a straight answer when it came to schedule the work. Dylan was able to do both, and quickly! He was prompt when he came by to give an estimate for the job, (he said he would come by at 5, he was there AT 5!) and he seemed very down to earth. Dylan was away on vacation when the work was scheduled to be done, but he still took the time to contact us to let us know when his team would be arriving. They, too, were right on time, and seriously just genuinely friendly people! His team did a fantastic job, and were actually quicker than I had expected! The team performed the work cleanly, with no left over dust or mess in general. Our floor looks great! We were asked ahead of time to pick out a few different stains that we might like, and they would put down a sample of each for us to look at and compare. Matt (who was performing the job that day), put down an additional sample that we hadn't considered, which he thought would look good for our floor. He was right! It looks fantastic! Dylan's price was even better than what was quoted by another company. In the end, I'm glad that other company never called us back! We will definitely be contacting Dylan Hardwood for future jobs!

Dylan did an excellent job. He was one of several people that I contacted on Angie's List and he replied within in 20 minutes. He gave us a quote and completed the job in 4 days in a few weeks of contacting him. We needed this completed before a kitchen renovation. He was extremely professional to deal with and his staff were wonderful. Would highly recommend him.

The floors look fantastic, really could not be happier with them. Dylan is very good to work with and has a great crew. My only gripe is that our house was freshly painted and now we have stain on all of the baseboards and trim around the stairs. Just a heads up for everyone to either tape your baseboards or understand that you'll have to paint afterwards. Dylan was nice enough to cover the cost of two cans of paint to fix the trim for the misunderstanding. The only other thing to keep in mind is that you'll have to figure out where to dispose of any excess materials as there is no haul away. Probably common for flooring contractors but this is my first experience getting the floors done. Overall I would not hesitate to refer a friend to Dylan because he is great to work with and does an awesome job on floors...which is why you hire him. Good luck!

Dylan and his group were great. The job was done as i've expected, no delays at all. The only thing is they forgot one thing, my entrance closet. I'd probably call him again as soon as we got settled moving in our stuff. Dylan was professional and accurate explaining the details of the whole project, will work what is necessary to be completed. Highly recommended!!!

Great work. The cost per square foot was just over $2.00. Dylan was punctual, friendly and professional. Communication was excellent and, best of all, beautiful job! Will definitely use again if the occasion presents itself.

We hired them after they were recommended by a friend and then reading their reviews on Angie's List. Everything has been superb. I have worked closely with the owner. He and his workers were polite and accommodating. They are very honest, reasonably priced, and fair. The task performed was done in a very excellent fashion. Joining Angie's List was definitely the right thing to do.

He was very professional - he came out quickly to give an estimate, started work when he said he would, and finished the job quickly. Pricing was fair and straightforward and beat several other quotes. Overall we were very satisfied.

Dylan came out and looked over the existing floors, measured everything, explained the process and then provided an estimate. He was very efficient and broke out the estimate into three jobs as we were only prepared to do the top floor at the time. We gave him a few days lead time as he had asked for and although he started the job a day late he did get in touch with me and let me know that he couldn't get off another job when anticipated. The floors were pretty beat up and they really look good, there were some slight issues that he resolved in the finish uses hadn't set properly however he came right out the next day buffed the floors and used a different finish that came out very nice. After being in for a while and getting a closer look there are some spots were we noticed the poly went on a little thick and some air bubbles, something a perfectionist wouldn't like however I'm the only person that even knows they are there. The most common response is how amazing they look compared to how they were so the work and price were acceptable. My only gripe was I had asked to have our attic fan left on to help draw out the fumes but they had left before getting my message each day leaving the house with an overpowering smell. I understood there would be fumes but felt the attic fan would have helped draw out the smell and make working on the 1st floor during that time possible. The communication during the job could have been a bit better.
