Response from Anytime Appliance Repair Service NJ LLC
I am the owner of this small business and the technician that came to your home. I have been fixing appliances for 37 years and so rarely do I come in contact with someone who just blatantly lies about the work I did. It did not take me long to diagnose what was wrong with your machine because it’s a common and major issue. I discussed with you that the cost of repair is not worth it, and it would be best to get a new machine from a different brand. I quoted the price of $1,999 which we discussed and I repeated three times. The total came out to $2,222 which includes tax, my service call, and the installation fee. For this price, someone is delivering the machine, installing it in your home and removing and properly disposing of the old machine. I have included the model number here (KRFF305ESS - you state I offered you a Frigidaire, but it was a Kitchen Aid which is the appliance brand I typically advise as they have shown, in my many years of appliance repair, to last long). You can see the included price and see that I go based on the suggested price that all sellers use. I have always prided myself and my company on having complete customer transparency. Why would I scam you? What would I gain out of this given you were handed the invoice immediately? Regarding why I was wearing a mask, endorsed the paperwork myself and did not close the door - there is a pandemic going on. I am following state guidelines. For the safety of myself, my family, my customers and their families, I am limiting contact and following social distancing procedures. I am sanitizing my tools and my workspace and much as I can. NORMALLY I would never sign the paperwork for the customer, that defeats the whole purpose of a signature, but in this case, I am, to limit contact. My reasoning is the same with the door. How dare you suggest I am a scam artist.
