The exterior and interior paint jobs have not held up 2 years later. Even expressing several concerns with the prep work, spraying interior, damaged floors, doors, hardware, and lighting artifacts, Brian pressed the same crew for 2.5 months. Brian ultimately discounted some of the work but here I am, having to pay another team to not only paint but fix the work Brians team did.

Tristate Remodelers completed work on both our kitchen and bathroom. Both were done extremely well and exceeded our expectations. Any issues that I had I was able to bring to Bryan and they were worked out and taken care of. I highly recommend their services.

For people who don't want to read much... IF YOU HAVE A NEED FOR A GENERAL CONTRACTOR, LOOK NO FURTHER! I met Bryan and 5 other general contractors. He showed up with images of his work and a disarming personality that reeked of honesty. I needed to do a major renovation and I am a really good judge of character. I chose him over the other 4 contractors. In our first meeting he told me what it would cost. And that was the price I ended up paying! He provided one of the lowest bids and he stuck to it. He is a gentleman and a man of his word. For those who want details: I have an older home built in 1921. I wanted to demo an existing bathroom and make a bedroom into a bathroom with a washer and dryer in it. After I met with Bryan he turned me over to a draftsman he works with and we went back and forth until we got a design that worked for us. There were several bumps in the process, based on the fact that my house is older. We did everything with permits. At the initial meeting Bryan told me that the process would not always be pleasant, but that he would be. He was right. Living in one room of my home for the duration of the renovation was trying. We had work done in every room of my home, as well as the basement. Bryan is extraordinary in the way he manages expectations. With any job of this size there would be issues. Every time an issue came up Bryan was on the other end of the phone. I ALWAYS got a quick callback. Once he called me back from his vacation in the Caribbean. The price he quoted me was actually less than I paid. We opted to purchase some fixtures and accessories instead of him and he gave us an allowance (money off of the job.) To be honest the process of renovating a home and living in it was not fun. But what made it bearable was that at all times I had Bryan's cellphone which he answered most times and whatever the issue of the day, the situation was fixed rapidly. He sent top notch men to work with me who had amazing and exacting work ethics. The entire process started in August and was completely finished by Thanksgiving. It would have gone quicker but we had to wait for the city to come and inspect and give us permits. All in all it took a little over 3 months to completely gut and run power, plumbing, and sewage pipes from the basement up to the second floor. I AM A COMPLETELY SATISFIED CUSTOMER. I did not know Bryan, he was not a family member or a friend but he always treated me with respect and whenever I confronted him with "the issue of the day" it was addressed quickly and in every instance I was treated fairly. One things that contractors do is start a job and leave you hanging. Once Tri State starte working on my home they were there! Getting permits and inspections dramatically slowed up the process but that was out of Bryans control. If you have read this far you are probably serious about finding a general contractor to work with. I am so pleased and proud of the work that Tri State did that I told him that I would speak to people looking to get an honest opinion about their experience with Tri State. Ask Bryan for James's number and I will tell you about my great experience with Bryan and Tri State.

Tri-State Remodelers is top notch! Itâ s a family run business and the sales call brings the owner, Bryan. Heâ s a very personable guy who understands your needs and never pushes you to go with them. He is also your point of contact all the way through the job, always available to answer your question, no matter the time and is always a professional problem solver. He even takes care of the permits with your town! Over the past two years we had Tri-State do a few jobs for us. The first job, that started it all, was to redo our full bath. They worked with our schedule and completed the job in a week. And by complete, they even painted the walls with our choice of color. Who does that nowadays? And when we noticed a scratch on the new tub, Bryan had a person come out to touch it up. You would never know the scratch was even there. Since we were pleased with that whole process we trusted them to do our siding and front porch expansion we had been planning for some time. We had gotten some quotes over the years but never felt like those companies were the one to do it. Tri-State did a phenomenal job as you can see from the pics. Itâ s like a completely new house! The town inspector, who never cracks a smile, told us, after we passed final inspection, that he was â very impressed with their work.â He said, â I never say these things, but this is how I would have built it myself. This porch is going be here for a long time.â He specifically mentioned that they went above code and put in extra support that most contractors do not do. We couldnâ t be happier with everything! We just love love LOVE watching the sunset from our new front porch. And if you hire Tri-State tell them Heather sent you. ;)

John did a fantastic job on my kitchen. He was fast and so pleasant and really wanted us to have everything exactly the way we wanted it. There were a few minor bumps along the way but that s to be expected with this type of project and they never became real problems. The owner is very attentive to address any issue and John, the contractor was great about taking care of any concerns. We are very pleased with our new kitchen and will enjoy it for a long time.

We had Tristate completely demo/remodel 2 bathrooms. Before starting both bathrooms had serious problems (mold, tub disconnected from water supply & drain, lack of insulation, cutoff from HVAC, etc.) The work was completed with results beyond our expectations. When selecting materials for each room we were not always satisfied with choices Tristate had available for floor and shower tiles. However, this was not an issue because we were allowed to select tiles from either The Home Depot or Lowes as long as we did not exceed a specific price per square foot. We chose Lowes because the tiles were superior to the Home Depot. The fixtures that we chose and Tristate provided were excellent, especially the innovative American Standard Vortex Toilet. These toilets allow you to insert a Lysol cartridge into a special slot that is located in a Vortex water channel (rather than within the water tank) that water circulates through before entering the bowl. This technology almost eliminates the need to clean the toilet bowls each week. Each bathroom now has full LED lighting, exhaust fans, in-wall insulation, GFA outlets, plenty of towel racks/rings, shower shelves, etc. The vanity in my wife's bathroom is really excellent with a custom cut granite vanity top. My downstairs bathroom was not large enough for a full vanity, but yet I did not want a pedestal either. Tristate was able to supply us with a shallow-depth vanity to easily accommodate my needs. Throughout the project the Tristate team was able to offer us good and reasonable solutions to address our issues. Even when the work commenced, the remodeling team that actually performed the work on both bathrooms would make suggestions for adjustments in our original plan that would result in higher satisfaction. In addition, the remodeling team was very trustworthy, allowing me to leave the house in their care while I ran errands and met my appointments (doctors, lunch, etc.) This was very desirable because our project spanned 2 months due to the need to measure, manufacture, and custom fit my wife's vanity granite counter top. I simply could not put my life on hold during that time span. No worries, I was able to leave the house and conduct my business without issue. When the team needed my input they had my cell number so that we could continue via text without my need to be present. The team was always courteous, cleaned up after ending work each day, and they were careful not to damage anything in the house. Din everything go smoothly? No, but we didn't really expect it to since there were so many issues with our old bathrooms. But the team helped us work through the issues which resulted in high satisfaction. In the end, would I recommend Tristate for remodeling - YES! My wife and I intend to use Tristate for additional projects (our house has many remodeling needs) once we pay off our home equity line of credit. Thanks Tristate!

As part of the job that I had done, I had 1 bathroom built from scratch, and 1 other bathroom gutted and replaced. Fortunately and unfortunately, my jobs ended up becoming a tale of two entirely different jobs. The problem I had really dealt with some of the oversight and supervision of 1 out of the 2 jobs performed. I felt as though there could have been better communication about some of the details, but actions were taken that were irreversible (without extending the length of the job). A five minute conversation could have been the difference between a 3 start and 5 start review for that leg of the job. In fairness to the company, they did try to do right by me, by being overly accommodating during the 2nd leg of the work. I'd candidly expressed my opinion to the owner, who accepted the constructive criticism very graciously. Another positive item about the job is that all costs were presented up front, with no additional costs down the road. Overall, I do like the finished products, as my wife and I had designed things to our liking, within the specifications of the job. And I would recommend trying to work with this company.

This job was for a remodel of bathroom for my handicapped husband. The sub contractor that did the work was pleasant and did a good job as far as he was instructed. However, the contract was written for a template for sink with counter top but we got a standard sink with no counter top.The shower also was to have a built-in seat. We got a triangle piece of marble mounted in the corner that is too small and not supported underneath. Hardly safe for a 300 lb. man.

Bryan provides his personal best in whatever his team does. I hired Tristate to do a front deck and a back bathroom. They were total professionals, with a sincere understanding of exactly what I needed! The ease of them bringing samples to my house (from the nails to the granite to the handles on the doors!) made my decision process so simple! I ran into issues under my house (not caused by Tristate), and no matter how long it took for me to get them resolved, Tristate office schedulers (Kim, Nicole etc.) would stay in touch we me through it! My front deck and my back bathroom are simply beautiful (and everyone who visits me says so!!!). Thank you Bryan, Thank you Tristate Remodelers (I cannot remember all their names, but they know who they are; special caring contractors!!!). I have and will continue to recommend Tristate to everyone!! Sincerely, Cheryl L.

Despite contracting to start before August, the work was not started till October. The sub-contractor was very friendly but was a one-man band and made some big mistakes which took months to be remedied. The job was rushed at the end and some smaller things were done badly. Communication with the company was possible only through the secretary, Kim, and I cannot praise her enough. Texts to other people went unanswered. The sub-contractor was located 1 1/2 hours away in Philadelphia.. By March of 2018 the job was still not finished. I regretted hiring this company. ADDENDUM: Eventually, with intervention by the owner of the Company, things were put right and service went above and beyond what was needed. The job was completed by the end of March 2018.
