After deciding on which brands and models of new appliances we wanted for our kitchen, I started shopping around, getting estimates from half a dozen or so local retailers. P.C. Richards was among the places I went. The salesperson told me that he could only give me a printed cost estimate if I placed a $100 deposit, but he stressed several times that there was no pressure, since it was totally refundable, so I placed a deposit. I got the estimate and saw that it was quite a bit more than my lowest estimate, plus I had read numerous complaints online from people who had trouble getting P.C. Richards to honor their extended warranties, so I decided to buy from somewhere else. Of course I could have presented my lower estimate to P.C. Richards and asked them to match it, but I had already spent several weeks shopping and wanted to just get my appliances at that point rather than continuing to go back and forth. So I purchased my appliances elsewhere, then went back to P.C. Richards to get a refund of my deposit and was hassled, despite all the talk of it being "totally refundable." The salesperson tried to claim he had a "relationship" with me and that it was wrong for me to take my business elsewhere, when in fact, our "relationship" consisted of my 15 min. visit to his store, and I had a much closer relationship to other salespeople at other stores that I had visited numerous times in the course of my research and subsequent purchase. I did get my money back, but the experience seemed too pushy. Given other options, I'd rather not shop at P.C. Richards in the future.
Description of Work: While searching for new appliances for our kitchen, I got estimates from P.C. Richards, among several other local retailers. In the end, I decided to purchase from somewhere else.

We were pleased with their products and prices. We were not pleased with the installer who installed the dryer. One of the feet was missing on the dryer and the installer used a block of wood instead of letting us know or ordering a new part. The dryer started rocking so I pulled it out and found the block of wood. I was not pleased. You have to watch them when they install. We have bought from them before so we think this is a one time thing.
Description of Work: We bought our appliances from P. C. RICHARD & SON. They also installed our dryer.
