We had a fence and deck put in summer of 2021. The two gates installed were not installed correctly. Peter did try to fix one of the gates,but it immediately broke again. We reached out several times…. He said he would be there at a specific time and date and never showed. I reached out several times to have him fix the gates and for a correct invoice which I never received. Could not recommend this company.

I just got my deck done by Octagon LLC and I have to say they did an excellent job very professional and on time. They did build it the exact way that I ask them to. So they deserve five stars. Thank you Pete

Unprofessional and waste of time. Doesn’t return calls or messages. Avoid, get a a real contractor. Pete came out to my house to take measurements for a deck. Told me he will email me an estimate. Week later never received estimate. Messaged him said he would send me it later that night. Week later again and still no estimate. Won’t return my calls or messages. What a waste of my time. Would never hire a contractor like this. Shows a lot about the company especially when this happens on the first time.

Pete did lot of works for us last year. I would hire him in a heart beat for any work again as long as he says he can do it. He is very skilled, multi talented, hard working contractor with positive attitude and delivers great quality work.

He did an excellent job. He was always on time and considerate. He cleaned up and personable. We have used him again for another project.

Pete came out to our home, assessed the work we needed done, and gave us an estimate. We decided to move forward and notified him that we'd like to proceed, and he told us that he would follow up with a date for the work. We secured the financing we needed, and once more followed up to get a date on the calendar. But we received no response. We followed up again. No response. After several emails and voice messages, we've still heard nothing. And we're now paying interest on a home loan for work that hasn't even begun. Don't waste your time and money on this company, because they'll have no problem wasting yours. Horrible experience.

Pete and his crew were meticulous with wood work. they were punctual and did an excellent job. pete knew i was under tight timeline and he accommodated it very well. thank you pete!! p.s. i am planning to use Pete again now for some additional work at the house. Anytime i need some work at home, Pete is my goto guy. Referred him to few friends and everyone loved him.

Excellent work by Pete and his crew. He did a complete roof replacement, including gutters. My roof is beautiful and has no issues. I also needed a wood-burning stove in my basement removed, which Pete did. He also replaced dry wall that was damaged due to our fridge leaking in the kitchen. All the work was done cleanly, efficiently, and professionally. Pete is really easy to work with, he is professional, and his crew has been with him for many years and they work well together. All in all a great experience and I highly recommend him. I will be using him for future projects, including a basement renovation. Thank you Pete!

Peter came out to my home after delaying my appointment time twice in one day. He came to my home on April 25, 2017 and I still have not received a quote from him. I have contacted him twice via text message and he said he was working on it. Today is May 8, 2017 and I have yet to hear from him regarding the quote. I am very disappointed with Peter, he seemed like a really nice man. I was really looking forward to possibly working with him, he seemed to be eager to help.

He was very professional, was able to work with me on pricing for additional square foot, rail and steps. Scheduled the appointment at my convenience, maintained communication with me and completed the job in one day. My deck looks wonderful and well done.

Pete was very prompt. He provided a written estimate and started the job sooner that we expected. He provide very good advice about how to resolve some minor frame issues. Him and his crew rehabbed an old deck in one very long day. We with are more that happy with his work and highly recommend him.

Fantastic. Pete called me back within a few hours of my initial inquiry. Came by as promised to discuss what needed to be done and provided an estimate same/next day. Price was certainly reasonable. Had an opening in his schedule a few days later and completed the project. Very professional. Fixes look great. Would definitely use him again / recommend to others.

It was good at first. He came right out the same day I called. I was going to work with him, but I wanted to see what all the special covered. He had very good ideas, and told me what they could do. He offered to send me the info that next day, but I told him that I knew it was his busy season, and there was no hurry. Unfortunately, he never followed up with me.

Went very well, as planned and expected. Pete was patient, professional and met with me 2x to clarify details. Email estimate was sent promptly. When I responded with questions and amendments, they were all addressed in writing and promptly. Project was scheduled for 2 days, but took a 3rd day to complete from missing parts. I've interviewed many different contractors and almost gave up getting this done. But this deal got my attention and it was worth it. Looks great and would definitely hire again.

Excellent workmanship and very easy to work with. Pete re-routed the baseboard heat and electric to accommodate the new opening. His crew and he Framed the new opening and installed the Andersen in-swing patio door. Sheetrock, spackle, finish trim and siding all beautifully done, inside and out. The new deck is gorgeous. Beautiful detail and the lumber used is top notch.

It took a little while to get started, but once they started they finished it all in 2 days. Pete and his crew were very professional and dis an excellent job. The quality of work and materials used was superb. The price was very reasonable. I plan on using Octagon for additional jobs right away.

Project went really well. It was back in 2013 when i did my first project with him and then in 2015 a kitchen was added to the store. To this day, i have people asking me who my contractor is and if I can give them his number. My architect visited the project at the very tail end and was surprised to see the ceiling was done. It was a very complicated ceiling with fiber optic lights and drop ceiling enclosed in an oval shape drop. He said, he was expecting a phone call from the contractor to ask how to do it. My architect was expecting multiple calls and he got none. He was at the construction site to give his recommendation but was shocked that ceiling was all done. Architect ad contractor ended up working on other projects together. I am happy to know him and it was one good choice i made. I fully recommend his work ethics and details. He does not do cheap work around. If he is asking more money, just give it to him. He knows what he is doing.

Pete was a very nice guy. Gave us a fair price. We were taking down the wall between our family room and dining room to create an open floor plan. Many contractors wanted to leave it "unfinished". Pete got a load calculation to the town, got a permit, put up a temporary wall, took down my wall, sheetrocked, patched my floor, put up the trim/molding, and painted. Very good job. Wife and I are very happy.

This is the most exceptional contractor I have been privileged to find in my 13 years of looking for help with my house (built in 1949) since I moved in. The owner was attentive to every detail. He was not at all flustered by requests that arose in process (as requests will -- and I am picky); rather, he treated each request with the utmost respect and as just another opportunity to have a 100% satisfied customer at the end of the project. He was personable, easy to reach, communicative, responsive, flexible, respectful, and polite. He hand-crafted a gate to keep my little dog on the porch and out of harm's way. He showed tremendous ingenuity and imagination in problem-solving. No finishing touch was left outstanding. He even saw things to fix and fixed them without being asked. Only high quality parts were used. His entire crew was also competent, respectful, and polite (so much so, I bought them all pizza). I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of both character and craftsmanship. I received compliments from 3 neighbors before the project was even finished! The design of the deck matches the "New England" style of the house. Pete is not only a top notch builder, he is a true artisan. The crew finished in a timely manner, and I can't imagine being more pleased. I only wish I could post pictures (and that Spring would come next instead of Winter)! Thank you!!
