I first contacted Dave last Monday, 8/7. He was on a new construction job and said that he would be tied up all week. He indicated that he would call me on 8/14 and see if he could schedule me for this week. Since my issue was not critical, that was fine with me. Instead of calling 8/14, he actually called early - on Saturday, and an appointment was scheduled for 8/14. Dave and his associate, Alex, arrived on time, were extremely personable and knowledgeable, found the problem quickly and repaired the defective outlet immediately for a reasonable price. All is working fine, and I would highly recommend Dave and Burton Electric to anyone.

They e-mailed me and said they were too busy to do the work at this time. I called Angie's List to request a refund. New bills have not come in yet, so I don't know if it's been refunded. I HAD to provide a grade, so I gave an A because they contacted me right away that they couldn't do it!

Dave and Alex showed up promptly and left everything as neat as it was before. Dave and I discussed where we would install the fan as it was in a tricky location. As soon as we figured out the exact spot, Dave and Alex went to work and did a fantastic job. After, the fan was installed I asked Dave to give me some rough estimates on other jobs in the house. All of his prices were fair and I will definitely be using him again! I would recommend Dave to anyone!

It went very well. Dave returned my original call promptly, came by in the morning the next day to see the space and came back in the afternoon with a second person to install the light. He made a makeshift scaffold using a board and two ladders and was able reach the top of the ceiling to take down the old lighting fixture and install the new one. He was very careful not to damage anything and used drop clothes up and down the stairs. The preparation and installation took about two hours.

The contractor (Dave) is a pleasure to deal with. He is responsive, timely, very friendly & easy to deal with and, most importantly, he and his assistant do excellent work. They have now been to our home several times. We first contacted this electrician in July. We had an emergency power outage on a 90+ degree day. We called in the morning and he came the same day to make the repair and restore the power. We highly recommend Burton Electric and we will absolutely use them again in the future.

Dave has done a lot of work at my house. He has installed multiple ceiling fans, light fixtures, and outlets. So, I natural called him when I wanted to do a generator. He walked me through the process of picking one out and getting the correct size. Dave also gave me some tips on where to order it from. I ultimately got the unit tax free with free shipping because of Dave's recommendation. He and his assistant quickly and neatly mounted the panel and hooked everything up. I couldn't be happier with the finished product. Burton Electric's performance has consistently met and exceeded my expectations. I will continue to call Dave for all of my electrical needs.

Since we recently moved into our condo, we were not familiar with any of the local electricians. We found Burton Electric through Angie's List and decided to call him in for an estimate. Dave came out and gave us an estimate about a week before Christmas. We wanted to add several LED under cabinet lights in our kitchen, and we also wanted him to install a replacement entry ceiling fixture. We felt his estimate was fair, and he said he would do the installation in 2 - 3 weeks. He emailed us with a date and time for the installation which worked with our schedule. Dave arrived on time and made sure all counters were covered with dropcloths and then set to work running the wires and putting in in the lights. He also added a dimmer switch which is a great addition to vary the lighting on the counters. He was able to easily change out our old entry fixture with the new one. Everything went smoothly. Before Dave left he made sure everything was working properly, asked if we had any questions, and made sure everything was completely cleaned up. We wouldn't hesitate to call him again for any future electrical work we want to have done.

The installation was precise and clean. The sensor on the spot lights needed to be adjusted. Dave adjusted it the very next day.

He did a fantastic job. His price was one of the best we were quoted. He was super professional and prompt. As a woman, I didn't feel like he was talking down to me, even though I have limited knowledge of the project. He came right before Hurricane Sandy and really saved us by installing the generator switch so that we could conveniently plug our generator into an outlet and just flip a switch. I was definitely impressed and will use again if needed.

Dave Burton is a godsend. Best electrician hands down. He was fast, clean and gave us suggestions for improvements. I cannot recommend Burton Electric highly enough. When you're in a jam, with a lot at stake, you need people who will be there for you in your time of need... like a doctor. He stuck around, was flexible when the scheduling went awry, was super competent, and had everything fixed quickly. We'll never call another electrician again. Dave - thanks for everything! Hi, Dave is great to work with , he came to the house we explained what we needed done and he came back to us with ideas and suggestions on how to change our family room lighting and what would work best for our room. They did an excellent job and the room looks great. Even when an issue arose with the wiring or light switch Dave made us aware and explained everything that needed to be done . Our Family room looks great along with the new switches Dave installed and our outside lighting. I would recommend Dave Burton to everyone he is very professional and great to work with.

After some initial scheduling snafu, Dave showed up on site as communicated. He did a quality job in installing the interloc switch and running the new line for the generator. He ensured that he went over the proper operation of how the switch works and anything else that we should be aware of in safe operation of the generator. I would recommend Burton Electric.

Dave is exactly what you want from a contractor. He answers your questions. He's a straight shooter. He keeps you informed. Shows up on time and just goes to town. He took care of taking out the proper permits, and when I scheduled the inspection..the inspector was impressed with all of the work. I didn't put the cost but I can say that it was in line with some other quotes I have received. I would call Burton again for electrical service.

The work was performed with care and thoroughness. I am very pleased with Dave Burton's work ethic. He works quickly but pays attention to the details. This was tested with the installation of the kitchen cabinet lighting. The house is over forty years old and as such you never know what structural element you might encounter in the wall. The house designed as a split-level had structural members supporting the floor precisely where they needed to run the wiring. He worked with his assistant for a considerable length of time to come up with a solution. The easy way out was to let me know that structure could not be dealt with without tearing into the tile wall. He never even mentioned it. He worked tirelessly to run the wiring over the adjacent room and turned it around in the garage space to get around the structural members. I did not hear any excuses, complaints, or expression of frustration. He completed the work and cleaned up the work areas. It was spotless. Most importantly, we had beautiful lighting in the kitchen and ample power on the deck for my daughter's graduation party--two days after they completed their work. He is a first class act. I would recommend him without reservation. I wished everyone worked with such professionalism.

Happy about the service over all, we have asked him to come back on the 14th of June to install a switch for the family room ceiling fan.

I called Dave Burton and he was able to come do the work the same day. He installed two light fixtures which went smoothly. We had trouble with an under-cabinet light and he determined that the ballast was broken. He determined that it was a rare type and told us it could take a while to receive the part, if at all. He said that it would be only slightly more expensive to replace the whole light rather than possibly not be able to acquire the needed ballast at all. He also replaced a 3-way light switch that had been sparking. Dave answered all my questions without problem. He explained what he was doing as well as why. He worked quickly and efficiently and was extremely personable. I felt confident with his work and would certainly hire him again.
