RJS LAND & TREE SERVICE

We’ve been getting firewood from RJS for years. Jonathan is responsive and they came right away. They deliver and stack 1/2 cord+ quickly, neatly, and for a reasonable price.

Called on December 31, 2019 and left a message. I received a call back about 3 minutes later and scheduled delivery of a 1/2 cord to my home about 2 hours later. I requested mostly oak and that's what I received. The cord arrived in good condition and was not kiln dried but was aged for one season. The 1/2 cord was a good size and I also requested two bundles of kindling which arrived in two nice densely packed baskets. There was a small amount of Ash mixed in that the owner John gave me a heads up prior which I was fine with. The lengths of the pieces ranged between 15" and 20". Total cost for the 1/2 cord including the 2 bundles of kindling and stacking in my shed in the back yard and on my back porch was $245.

Spent $240 for 1/2 chord of wood (and two huge bundles of kindling) to be delivered and stacked at my house. The half chord was $150 by itself and the bundles were $15 for each. I called at lunch time for the delivery and it was at my house in less than 4 hours. The delivery guys were very nice and professional. I'm really glad to have a local firewood company I can now trust...

When I called initially he told me what the price was which I agreed. Later that day he actually came over and he looked at the driveway and getting his equipment in and him trying to get it all to the back and move the snow out of the driveway he told me that honestly he does not think his equipment is going to be able to handle it. He was very honest. He was on the phone professional, gave me the price side on the phone, told me about when either him or his brother would be here to talk to me, they were running like a half hour behind schedule, came over and was completely honest with me. That's what impressed me.

I needed to have firewood delivered and stacked, but because I have a shared driveway, it had to be unloaded quickly. Three guys did the job in less than 10 minutes. They neatly stacked firewood and left driveway spotless. Wood is seasoned, bug free and a mixture of excellent quality hardwoods. Have already had several fires and the wood starts up right away. John was very responsive and works hard to accommodate everyone's schedule. The guys delivering and stacking the wood, took care to not destroy my garden or lawn while transporting the wood from truck to fence where it was stacked. Will definitely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone.

On time delivery of a good size 1/2 cord of wood. All nice hardwood pieces as promised. Very friendly. Delivery driver even too the time to try and fit truck in fence gate. Will order firewood from them again.

We had everything lined up, and he missed his appointment.

Hurricane Sandy knocked down about 20 trees in a woods on our property. They were leaning against each other and it was a mess. I called RJS and got Jonathan. He came right away and suggested we hire his crew and equipment by the day for one or two days. He has a very large chipper that was able to chip trees more than a foot in diameter. His five man crew worked hard and cleaned up most of the mess in one day. We hired him for a second day to finish cleaning up, remove another dead tree and some birches, and chip some brush piles. He did a great job and we plan to hire him again in the spring.

The wood was stacked where requested, product was as described.

RJS was a lifesaver during Hurricane Sandy. My house had no power for 2 weeks - which meant no heat. The day after the storm, they were able to get my requested 1/2 cord of wood delivered to my house, in the evening as promised (as they were out doing tree work during the day). They accepted a check for payment (we had no cash and credit cards weren't working due to no power). The wood itself burned very nicely in the fireplace. Great to work with and great product. Can't say enough positive about them.

Outstanding. Wood was delivered and expertly piled in our garage. Comprised of dry, hardwood as promised. Will get next load of wood from Jon.

Excellent service. Received a well over sized cord of wood. Seasoned well with good wood types (Oak, Ash, etc). I would highly recommend. Since I was very happy with the service I would consider RJs for their other services.

I left a message and Jon called me back very promptly. He was very helpful, made very clear what I'd be getting and when. Delivery of the firewood was when he said it'd be, and he was very helpful and considerate in dropping the wood where I needed it. The quality of the wood is very good (seems to be well-seasoned and burns well), and I had absolutely no complaints. I'd certainly use RJS again.

Their were 3 people who came, Jonathan (the owner) and 2 hired workers. They delivered more than what I asked and stacked everything nice and neat. It was done quickly and I was very happy. I even tipped the workers since they did a great job. I have used this person in the past and their fire wood is seasoned well and burns excellently.

Contacted firm for firewood; left voice mail message stating what I was looking for and where I lived. Took several days to get a call back. Told Johnathon I was looking for smaller wood for our wood burning stove, and he promised that he would deliver wood cut for wood stove. Took another couple of phone calls to coordinate a delivery time. I then received the firewood to my driveway. It was dumped where I wanted it. I declined to have it stacked, which cost another $50.

His firewood is actually seasoned properly (split and weathered for a year or more), so it burns beautifully with little smoke.
