Description of Work: Best Carpenters did all the work on my new kitchen...from design to demolition, installations to inspections, they were professional, accessible and very reasonably priced. I will definitely use them again!

Description of Work: They installed my kitchen cabinets that I purchased at IKEA.

Description of Work: We completely gutted our kitchen in our 131 year old home. The old kitchen was especially challenging because the floor, walls, and ceiling were not straight. We also needed to knock out a wall to a pantry and open up a closet. To do the project, we needed new electrical and some minor plumbing changes. Our appliances stayed in the same place as our original kitchen. One of my major concerns was the un-level floor. It sagged on one end, as do many floors in old homes. Sergio reassured me that it would be no problem to shim and level it. Growing up around carpenters myself, and having been on construction sites, I must admit, I was a bit skeptical. I knew it could be done, but to what degree is another matter. I think, initially, that Sergio thought it could be done relatively easy. But as with any renovation, the unexpected occurred. We had an old stove with a slate foundation that was not going to be even with the floor. Once Sergio realized the issue, he immediately made the decision to take the floor all the way down to the floor joists. This added a couple of days to the job, for which he did not charge. His main concern was making us happy, and to satisfy his own perfectionist attitude. After taking the floor all the way off, a new base floor was installed with extra long screws. A membrane and tile were installed. The floor came out PERFECT! The next major challenge was leveling and installing wood boards on the celling. Again, that phase of the project went well. The only hiccup was accidentally drilling through a water line that is immediately above the kitchen. They fixed it within two hours and then they were back to work on the celling. Once again, the end result of the ceiling was PERFECT! With the floor and ceiling out of the way, the rest of the kitchen was smooth sailing. Best Carpenters redid our walls, added crown molding, installed the cabinets, painted, installed under- and in-cabinet lighting, added electrical outlets, installed recessed and pendant lights, insulated behind walls, installed a door and a window, installed a range hood, dishwasher, refrigerator, and range. One of Sergio's men, Steffan, built what I consider to be an award-winning corner banquette, to match the style of our kitchen. All this, in addition to a lot of detail work too numerous to list.

Description of Work: Sergio had handled the remodeling of my Ikea kitchen a year and a half ago. Recently I called him asking whether he could fix a small issue I had with the lazy susan shelving in the corner cabinet. He was very responsive, and sent one of his staff to my place at a time that was convenient to me. The fix took all of 30 seconds. He didn't charge a thing, but I tipped the guy nicely for taking the time. While he was leaving I asked him about how to handle a grout problem I had between the glass tiles of the backsplash and the granite counter. He explained the best way to handle it. Then one minute later, he was back with a tube of caulk and did the job for me. Again, no charge. And, again, I showed my appreciation. But this is just further evidence of what a great service attitude Sergio maintains. I mean, when was the last time you heard of such follow-up and whole year and a half after the original job? Mind you, there was no service level understanding, no "guarantee" that applied to this situation. As a result, Sergio has earned a lot of referral business and my strong loyalty. If you need a kitchen to be remodeled, by all means give this guy a call!!

Description of Work: Scope of services included; demolition (not including disposal of debris) of kitchen flooring, wall, a few cabinets and a door frame. Electrical upgrade including moving and adding outlets and switches and adding under cabinet lights. Plumbing upgrade including water plumbing moved, rerouting AC line and old gas line. Prepared subfloor and installed new hardwood floor. Installed sheetrock where needed , spackled and primed. Installed kitchen cabinets, countertop, sink and faucet, dishwasher, refrigeratior, gas stove, vented hood to the outside.

Description of Work: A galley kitchen and bathroom in my co-op were remodeled. This included cabinets, countertops, backsplash, lighting, tiling, flooring, and selected appliances. The quality of work done was superb. Minor issues that arose after work was completed were cheerfully corrected, even many months after the original work was done. Recommendations for specific materials (flooring, cabinets, etc.) as well as layout were excellent. The finished project makes me totally happy--I love walking into my kitchen and bathroom after the renovations done by Best Carpenters.
