Description of Work: Replaced central AC unit. Happy with the overall service, price and work done except wish we were told that the Electrical unit needed work prior to the project being done. An extra bill for 600 from an electrician was somewhat of a surprise.

Tom Rostron Co., Inc. does an excellent job. He had to revamp a whole system, it wasn't just a house call. He answers phone calls, he's fast and very neat when he works.

This company had us going through hoops to qualify for the energy efficiency audit. We held off doing any of the necessary work for months as they didn't follow through with anything. After not returning or calls or canceling appointments we were done! I would never recommend this company to anyone. Not only are they overpriced, they tried to sell us equipment and services we did not need.

At Tom Rostron Co. we always take an online review seriously. We use them to help improve processes and procedures. We share our reviews with our employees to learn from them and better our company. Every once in a while a review does come along that does not match up with our standards and we do make improvements. We apologise for the inconvenience to this customer. This homeowner wanted to take advantage of rebates and an interest free loan through NJNG and the State of New Jersey. Tom Rostron co has been successfully completing this rebate program since Feb, 27 2008. There are very specific requirements set up by the Home performance with energy star program in regards to efficiency and saftey. Only in rare circumstances the time to qualify can be extensive. In this particular instance, some of the work done prior to our inspection, the work done prior was poorly done and the cost to repair would be extensive. Our energy audit was completed 5 days after the appointment was booked, by our in-house BPI certified auditor. Our audit was performed for Free. Unfortunately when having to redo work that has just been completed to bring it upto the program standard this customer was upset by this. I would be upset to. Tom Rostron Co is subject to third party inspections and we do not take chances on leaving substandard work after our services are performed. In regards to being overpriced we pride ourselves on the quality of our workmanship, we do not put” band aids” on inferior workmanship as many homeowners are accustomed to, and we will not do substandard work. We only have certified technicians. We have been family owned and operated since the begining. We give back to our local comunity through our "Rostron Gives Back" program. We are the best HVAC company not the cheapest. We have been voted the "Best HVAC Contractor in Monmouth County" 3 years in a row. In short you get what you pay for!

Had several estimates they were the only company on time and handed me an estimate before they left. They were pricey but well worth it. The explaination on how to fix the system and the professionalism of the sales representative and worker were great. The work was done neatly and in two days. The vents were too small for the size of the house and they added two thermostates that allowed us to shut off one system while opening another. Several weeks later when I went to use the system I had a problem and they came to the house immediately and made a small adjustment. The AC worked great last year and wireless thermostates created a three zone system more than I asked for.

They seemed very good & competent. I haven't had any problems with them. They may be a little pricey compared to some other companies but I don't know how good the other companies are & I do know that our equipment works so it's worth it.

He was here for several days. He and his crew did a wonderful job with all of the items they took care of. Everything has been working well. We’ve never had to call him back to repair anything.

They were super attentive, thoughtful, careful, friendly, and skilled. I have since signed an annual maintenance contract and they have continuously been stellar to deal with any time I have needed to schedule maintenance or get an estimate for new work.
