In a word -- outstanding. Jackie, at Sanders Home Services, took my call before 8 am. She had an appointment for me in a window of 10 am to 2 pm in no time. She notified me that their plumber might be there before 10 am but would call before showing up. Randy K. called before showing up. With the protective booties on he was confirming the water shut off that I had used was the right thing to do. After examining the leak, turned the water back on so the rest of the family could continue getting ready for the day with other shower, sinks etc. Randy was at work fixing the leak before 10 am. He completed the work, checked it for any other leaks and was out the door before 11:45 am.

* The initial service call was an hour late, but the dispatcher phoned in a timely manner to inform me that he was running late. * The repairman was clean cut, professional, and wore "booties". Drop cloths were used extensively. * The work was done in a very professional manner. * However, as dry wall repair was necessary, I was asked to leave a deposit for work to be done; the price was fairly high and I would've liked the opportunity to price out the service from other Angie's List providers.

Rich the technician was excellent. He took the time to explain all the work he was doing. He was very thorough, very clean, and very professional. All the work was completed in approximately 5-6 hours. I wouldn't hesitate to request Rich for any future plumbing needs that may arise. Well done Rich!!!

Very experienced crew of two people since one guy was new and training. They inspected everything and left proposal for kitchen faucet replacement and the needed replacement of 7 under cabinet shut offs for faucets and toilets. After all the Angie's List discounts the cost would've been a ridiculous. It was clear that they lose money with the $79 offer to get in the door then they have no mercy. I'm confident though that everything would've been fixed perfectly and by very polite, professional employees, but if parts cost less than $280, I can't justify that labor rate for one plumber, half a day.

Based upon Jack's survey, which was performed in a knowledgeable and conscientious way, I book the job.The day of my job, Sal L. and Josh worked with Jack. They were able to complete my job in one day instead of the originally projected two days. Sal L. figured out a way to run the grounding wire to my heater without running it along the baseboard in my dining room--which was what they thought initially would have to suffice. Josh identified an open transformer outside my fence. He called it in as a hazardous situation for the local kids that play out back. The local police came and notified PSE&G, who sent a service person out to secure the transformer. Incidentally, 2 hours after my job was completed, my thermostat went out! Talk about poor timing! The thermostat wasn't a part of the job but I still had Sanders card handy so I called the office. It was after hours but Roseanne called me right back and had Jack call me. Jack walked me through a few steps over the phone and then told me that he was coming back to my home. Jack came back--by this time it was after 10 PM! Jack tried to troubleshoot different options and reached out to Jeff P. Jeff confirmed that it was the thermostat. Jack set up immediate service for me and Jeff came out first thing Saturday morning and changed my thermostat. All I can say is "Wow". Sanders really took care of me and I appreciate all who had a part in making this whole process feel less like a "job" and more like an experience where I now have a network of professionals that I won't hesitate to call in the future--in fact Jack is like family! I woke up Sunday, 1/24, after the blizzard to find that I had water all over my ground floor. Not knowing where the water was coming from or what type of an issue I had I looked through Angie's List for plumbers with a good rating and emergency service available. It was a Sunday morning and we had just received 20" of snow, so I wasn't hopeful. I reached Sanders answering service and left a message, I received a call back in a very short time which I thought spoke very well of them. I explained the issue that I was having and was told, by a Very nice lady, that there were a couple of other emergency calls but that they could have someone come out after noon. I told her that this would be fine and was just grateful that I would have the issue looked at that day. Noon came and went but there was no call and no one came. After 3pm I received a call asking if I had heard from the technician, which I hadn't. They asked if I had my septic pumped within the past 30 days, which I hadn't. Who thinks to have their septic pumped 30 days BEFORE they have a problem???? I was then told that they wouldn't be out until I could get my septic pumped. Not understanding how this was relevant I was transferred to a service manager. I went over what I was seeing with him, there didn't appear to be sewerage, just water, but he insisted that this a septic issue. He stated that 95% of the time it was found to be septic related and they weren't going to waste their time coming out to even look unless I got it pumped. After waiting all day for them to show up, this was not making me happy. I was afraid to use any water, not knowing what the problem might be. I started calling around but couldn't get anyone to come out that day. I was able to get Roter Rooter scheduled to come out the following day. The reason I've chosen to leave a negative review for a company that didn't do any work is what Roter Rooter found. There was NOTHING WRONG with my septic, it didn't need to be pumped!!! A rag of some sort had managed to find it's way to my sewer line and caused a clog. Roter Rooter checked my system, found the issue, fixed the problem, installed a trap for easier access in the future, and left me completely satisfied in a few hours. Sanders wouldn't waste the time to come out and look unless I had other things done that were found to be unnecessary. If they had come out, they would have had the work but since they couldn't be bothered, they lost a job, a potential future customer, and prompted me to write this review.

It went very smoothly. We had recently purchased the home as a rental unit. When all the renovations were done we discovered that we needed a water softener in order to rent out the property. We were on a bit of a dead line so we needed to complete the project quickly. Sanders showed up to give us our estimate on time. They were very knowledgeable and were quickly able to recommend the appropriate unit for our situation. They gave us a date and time for the install before leaving the house and showed up on the designated day on time. There work was impeccable. The technicians were friendly and very respectful. We have absolutely no complaints. They finished there work and cleaned up thoroughly. I would recommend Sanders Home Services to anyone.

This is our third system we have installed in our homes and love it. Highly recommend this system for clean water to drink and soft water to bathe in. Another plus is that your other household appliances using water like the dish washer and faucets will last 5 times longer with soft water.

They did an excellent job. They were really good. When they came out, the same night they put everything in the internet went out and it turned out they had accidentally broken a power supply and they actually reimbursed me with no question. I called them within the hour of them leaving and they were great about it.

The guy that came out was very nice and punctual we just felt the price was too high.

A small misunderstanding of the ad on Angie's List was handled very politely by Dave at their office, I commend his customer oriented approach. Today, when their service rep, Tim, came out, he was thorough, courteous, on time, and very knowledgeable. He checked serial numbers on equipment so he could give us accurate ages, so we'd know life expectancy, made recommendations, found an exhaust leak, quoted prices on work he recommended or that we may need in a year or so. He made sure to discuss and point out what he was noticing with my husband, (who knows his way around heaters and AC), and my husband was very impressed. Tim was here for two and a half hours, and the end result is we have a cleaned heater, a game plan on maintenance and when we might need to invest in new equipment and a 100% positive view of Sanders Home Services. We would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone needing such work, and intend to be calling them again as needed.

I called late in the afternoon and they were able to come out the next morning. The technician, Jack H. Was very professional. He explained everything that he was going to do and didn't take all day to do the job. He wore shoe covers and left everything spotless before he left. I would use them again.

checked all electrical outlets, inside and outside checked fuse box checked outside lights I made him aware of two problems.. One outside flood light did not work properly..One light inside flickered.. He repaired both items. He replaced bulbs in ceiling fan that were broken inside the outlet. He also advised me re bulb types.. He advised me concerning updating out outlet..

I ordered the HVAC inspection on Sunday and early Monday morning I received a called scheduling our appointment for Wednesday. The service call went well, though the technician called and explained he would be arriving later that the scheduled time. The technician was knowledgeable, courteous and did a thorough job. He diagnosed a problem with our AC unit and provided repair. The addition charge was reasonable. This is our third experience using Sanders Home Services and I would highly recommend them.

Things went well, although he was unable to do the water heater flush included in the Big deal due to the correct pipe not being connected. They were very nice and came at a good time for my schedule. They gave me a window of 12-4 and they didn't wait until the very end of the window to arrive. The tech was knowledgeable, courteous and professional.

Everything is now perfect .

I was delighted with how everything turned out. Both men who came (one HVAC and one plumber) were excellent in everything they did. I have a cat and they were respective of closing doors, etc. to prevent her from getting closed into any areas. They explained everything to me, gave me a step-by-step explanation of the cost and made sure I had their contact information. I had to give them two checks (one for the humidifier work and one for the faucet work) due to the structure of the company but that was not a problem for me in any way. They also gave me 10 percent discount on both jobs since I contacted them through Angie's List. I am very happy this is done. Thank you very much.

The price was just too high, and, I did not get a call back from the supervisor. Some background....I had a water heater installed a day earlier. That price was high too. But, I felt it would be best to use the same plumber that was just here a day earlier. My upstairs toilet would not shut off. And, the shutoff valve would not turn, so I was stuck. They came out quickly, and installed the shutoff valve. He was done in 15 mins. He actually cleaned the valve in the toilet... it had debris in in.......And, for that, he was stretching the time out. Yes, it was that simple. For $350.00??? Now that I think about it, the reason that I had this issue was that they installed my water heater the day before. They had to shut off all the water, to do it. Once they were done, they should have cleared the lines to all my fixtures. Obviously, they did not do that. So, not only was my water heater installed at a high price, they were also the ones to cause my issue the next day... and I ended up paying once again, a too high price...... They really should not have charged me at all, since it had to do with their water heater installation. I asked for the supervisor to call me, but they never did. i will never use them again.

They were very prompt. It was a Friday night and I had a flood in the downstairs bathroom. I called the first ad I saw in the newspaper. I had a 20% off coupon for 1st time customers and the price was still $433.55. Their competitors (Horizon) advertises that they clear the main sewer line for $99. I was in a panic because even though the water was shut off the water kept coming in the house so I called the first ad I saw. They did the job alright and I have no complaints about the job just about the price.

Went through th laundry list of repairs that were requested. Priced out the jobs separately and together. We contracted to do the ceiling fan. It was labor only and we were thoroughly pleased with the installation. Price was a little high, we thought, but the job was superb so it was acceptable.

Work was done neatly and professionally. Left full invoice showing all costs and warranties for us, the new homeowner.

It was as good of an experience as I could have asked for. The service people were knowledgeable, personable, prompt, professional and proficient, as was the office personnel. Drop cloths and booties were used to protect our home and cleanup after the job was superb. The job was completed and everything looks good and works well. I called in the repair/replacement request on Saturday night and the service technician was at my home, as agreed to, at 8:00 AM on Sunday. They offered to come out and evaluate the job and provide an estimate on Saturday night, but recommended that I wait until Sunday morning, if possible, since they would not be able to complete repair/replacement on Saturday night and an additional service call charge would apply. The whole repair/replacement experience was fantastic, as it has been whenever I have used their services. I will use them again whenever I have a plumbing need and recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

Contractor was very responsive for my request for estimate due to sudden failure of existing 24 year old furnace. Out of three estimates received they were the lowest and provided a product I felt was on par if not better than other quotes. In fact it was eligible for a $500 rebate from the state which further reduced the cost. Personnel installing the new furnace were very responsive to my questions and concerns. They were careful not to damage any walls, floors, etc. during equipment removal/installation since i have a finished basement and cleaned up afterwards to my satisfaction. Equipment operation was explained and demonstrated including the programing of new thermostat. All work was completed in about eight hours.

Their initial unit size estimates were too small for my house and for my target temperature, which I indicated was 68F. The older unit on my house was a 4 ton unit and they replaced it with a more efficient 3.5 ton unit, however when it was 90F out it couldn't get my house down past 72F except for at night time. The temperature rose quickly to 72 by about noon and usually topped out at 74-75 around 3pm. Basically my air conditioner was running non stop, which was evident by my insanely high electric bill, nearly double of what it was the previous year with the older, larger unit. After reporting this to Sanders they sent in an expert to evaluate the air flow in the house, insulation, put a giant fan in my front door and everything, etc... coupled with my 68F target, he indicated that a 4.4 ton unit would be needed. Sanders then set up an appointment to come in with a 5 ton unit (they gave me the option of 4 ton or 5 ton, I went bigger and figured if I encounter a humidity problem, I will deal with it later... I have not encountered a humidity problem in the months afterwards but I only had September and October to test it). They took away the undersized unit and replaced it with the larger unit while the guys muttered under their breath about why would anyone need such a big air conditioner, well, they don't know how cold I like it, so its all good. Sanders charged me the difference in price between the smaller and larger unit, but did not charge me extra for the added labor of switching out the units since the miscalculation was on their end. Everything has worked great, I have gotten my house down to 62F just to see if I can. The unit is quiet and my electric bill is waaaaay down. Sanders split the difference on the electric bills for the two months that I had the undersized unit which I feel is a great show of character.
