Great company to work with. No complaints other than the fact they started the project a lot later than originally planned, but we were experiencing a terrible rainy season that was setting their schedule back.

They did everything agreed upon in the time promised. Only complaint is they left many nails laying around.

Our siding was 35 year old aluminum with missing fascia, leaks around the windows, etc. The owner, Bob Catalano, was excellent at listening to what we wanted, providing numerous options and suggestions, and having the expertise and trades working for him that were of the highest quality and experience, including siding, roofing, carpentry, electrician and painters who we used. The work was performed ahead of time, per our request to meet our daughter's prom deadline (which he met comfortably), he communicated with us regularly nearly every morning during the 3 weeks (since we had a number of rain days with thunderstorms) and coordinated with us with the indoor work with our personal work schedules. Bob and the rest of his crew were very courteous and cleaned up daily. None of the outdoor landscaping was damaged and all of the old siding was removed in a large rolloff he brought in. He provided us with a listing of over 100 local jobs and addresses he has completed in the last 10 years so we could review his work and look at the color combinations prior to the job. My husband and I had 5 change orders on the job, and they were handled with openness, flexibility and professionalism. We had a contract and scope of work for the original work as well as written change orders with pricing and scope of work as well as a copy of the township permit for the work. I am personally particularly detailed as to schedules, workmanship, communication and product/service value. We received red carpet treatment and very fair pricing. Our retired neighbors on both sides stopped over several times to comment on how impressed they were with the quality of work during the day when they were watching. We will be replacing our deck next year and want to add a pergola and our first choice will be Design-a-Castle to do the work. We feel like we have a brand new house and are so happy with the work and the results!

Design a Castle (Bob Catalano) provided a detailed estimate that identified exactly what materials and services were going to be provided. This provided an accurate means to a**** the value of their services. I did my homework prior so I knew about the material quality and the installation quality that was important to this type of job. Other contractors did not provide the detail on all phases of the work. Selection of Design a Castle was based on the overall value of their services in comparison to the other contractors that bid, i.e. quality vs. price. The details of the estimate were translated into a clear, well written contract that provided the key details of the work to be performed. The contractors showed up on time daily, and worked hard to complete the work on time. I monitored all of the phases of the work to ensure that they were performing all of the services identified in the contract. Bob Catalano was on site numerous times also, so I was confident that he was also monitoring the work. Window installation was quick and professional. A few minor issues were noted, and were corrected promptly. The siding installation was performed expertly. The installers did not rush and cut corners. They removed all siding, wrapped the house with Tyvek, including the taping of all seams and around all windows and doors, and installed a 1/2 inch foam insulating board underlayment, again taping all seems, etc. All of the exteral surfaces were beautifully trimmed in aluminum. All window and door interfaces were caulked with high quility silicone caulk. The installers work was really terrific. A late special order gable vent caused a completion delay of about 2-3 days - not a big deal except the scafolding had to remain in place while waiting for the part. I felt the contractor could have done a little better job in cleaning up after the installation was complete - I had to walk arounf the premises collecting some discarded nails and smaller pieces of siding after they left. All in all I was extremely pleased with all phases of the installation - from the original discussion and estimates, project oversite and communications, and the expert and professional installation. My house looks brand new.

Everything went fine. Design A Castle Remodelers did everything they were supposed to do, finish when they were supposed to finished. It went smooth and had no problems at all.

They did a great job and the pricing was very competitive. They did everything they said they would do. However, there was communication problems with the subcontractors. The subcontractors could not speak english. Overall, I have no complaints with the work.

I contacted Design A Castle for an estimate on siding, windows and gutters. Bob from Design A Castle came out to give me an estimate. Bob was prompt for the appointment. He did a good job explaining the products and processes they employ. I ended up getting quotes from four companies in total. All quotes were within about 10% of each others and Design A Castle's was in the middle of all. I ultimately chose Design A Castle because i liked the quality of the products they used and Bob did a good job explaining what they would do and i felt very comfortable with him. After deciding on Design A Castle I added a new front door and storm door to the quote. When removing the existing siding it was discovered that there was substantial wood rot to the fascia under a section of flat roof and that the rot extended to the roof itself. Bob discussed a couple of options and ultimately i decided to have the flat roof replaced to fix the wood rot. I thought the price for the roof work was reasonable. Windows and door were installed in a single day. Siding took about 5 days. The workers were professional and Bob stopped often to check on the work, talk to the crews and talk with me. I have additional work that i plan on having done next summer and I will likely call Design A Castle to do that work.

Design a castle had previously did our roof and we decided to move forward with their service, for windows, siding and gutters. The job started when planned and was finished on time. Only two minor issues that needed to be rectified, which took a bit longer then I would hav eliked but were rectified to our satisfaction. Was quite a bit of wood rot that needed to be rectified and bob did not go overboard in pricing the needed repairs. So far we have been very pleased with the quality of the work. The price by no means was the cheapest but we were comfortable with the service provided by the owner, who though he does not do the work and subs it out was very hands on making sure things were done appropriately.

Bob, gave us an estimate for windows, roof and siding. We decided to do the roof first as we wanted to get a lot of work done elsewhere but with the roof being 30 years old that was a priority. Bob broke out the roof from the estimate and kept the price the same. He was very punctual, not overly aggressive and took time to explain things to my 82 y/o grandmother. Most did not. They were in and out in a day with an entire roof rip off, and replacement. Left a few remnants behind but nothing to complain about. They were not the cheapest and definitely not the most expensive. Bob was great and the crew did a darn good job. Will tell you in ten years if the installation was quality, and hopefully I have no complaints for at least the next 30! I would definitely recommend him.

They are the worst!! I live in a SMALL townhouse. They took 4 days to finish the job. While removing the shingles, they shoved them off onto my baby (2-year-old) tree, breaking it in half. "It happens." Kept my door cracked open all day one day in order to use my electrical outlet, only for me to find out it was for their RADIO!!! My house was cold so they could have music? Use batteries! I mind them using my bathroom so much, but each one each day was much. Then one of them even clogged my toilet!!!!! Eeeewww! Nails were left ALL over the front and back yards. Great for the kids to use their feet to treasure hunt for them! Attic full of debris. Angry neighbors due to debris all over their yards. Charged to "rehang" gutters. Not only did they not take them down nor rehang them, but shoved debris off the roof into the gutters causing them to clog. My husband chose them because they were a little high on the price and "You get what you pay for". BOY was he WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
