The service was good. They were on time, pleasant, helpful and professional.

We purchased a home in the last year with older cooling and heating systems. Both systems had not been well maintained by previous owners and were approximately 15 to 20 years old. After getting an AC inspection/tuneup from another vendor, we were told the first floor air conditioning system was out of coolant and the second floor system was in rough shape, and would likely fail soon. Based upon previous positive experience with Shamrock to install a high-efficiency boiler last year, we asked Shamrock to give us an estimate for installation of Lennox systems, air-conditioning for the first floor and air-conditioning/heating combination unit for the second floor. The estimate was significantly lower than a competitor, and the sales representative answered all of my technical questions to explain rationale behind individual system components. Both systems were installed over two hot days in June, and Shamrock was sure to work carefully with me to make sure that the replacement systems were located in ways that would not impact or lessen storage capacity in my home. Employees were punctual, professional, and did a great job!

They are very cordial, polite, and prompt. They are great guys. We have an annual contract with them. We pay about $300 for the year.

It's a couple of hundred dollars for the year for their preventative maintenance.

Ken, the lead installer came out 2 days before install and wrote instructions for installers which included as the 2nd instruction to replace the line set (which carries the Puron from condenser to the coil). When the installers arrived they said they were going to flush the lines and not replace them. 1st the existing lines were too small and 2nd any impurities left in the lines will affect the A/C down the road (just google it). I told the installers the quote specifically stated to replace the lines and if they din't want to replace the lines, they could give me my deposit back. The salesman Bill called me and informed me that they would replace the line set as agreed. Then he called me back and said the installers left and won't due the job. Very unprofessional at best, at worst they were never going to replace the line set (which is what I was warned about by other companies who gave me quotes). By not replacing the lines they save time and money, and you as the consumer don't get what you were promised or paid for. Bad business

The quality depends because my air conditioner isn't working right now. They service it every year and now it's not working. I have to see what's wrong with it now. I would use them again depending on what is wrong with it now, because once you have an air conditioner installed, I didn't know I was going to have to have them come out every year to service it for it to work. They did what they said they had to do, but like I said, when I had them install it, I didn't think I would have to call them every year. So, if this is something they didn't install correctly or is a mistake on their part then obviously, I would change their grade drastically. As of right now, the best thing about them is their price. I have shopped around a lot for my air conditioning unit and that is why I went with them. So, I mean, price wise you really can't beat them in this area.

Shamrock has been wonderful to deal with, a business run on high ethical standards, thorough knowledge, competency, and ability in their field, extraordinary customer service, and continuing follow-through on every promised detail. Their terrific Mark Kolan's proposal for the replacement of our geo-thermal heat pump and water heater was so thorough it left nothing to chance, unlike any other proposal. Their super technical staff worked long days to do the job right and were a pleasure to know. Mark followed through on every aspect of the job, making sure we were happy. He even scoured the Internet to help us find a vendor for less expensive furnace filters! I can't say enough good things about Shamrock, Mark Kolan and their terrific staff.

The initial installation seemed to go fine. However, being it was in winter, it wasn't until the summer that I found the unit leaked every time the AC was on. Shamrock came back to find that the incorrect levels of freon was added during installation and padded up the unit with insulation. This ended up just being a Band-Aid for a larger issue, of which they refuse to fix. Now this summer the leak also has a blue-tinted chemical to it -doubt that is good. When I called to see if they would stand behind their work, the professional who answered began to argue with me that the issue was fixed. In the end, the issue has never been fixed and Shamrock refuses to get to the root cause of the issue. The only thing I can do is change out rags every couple of hours or pay an arm and a leg for them to come out...didn't think having a new HVAC would be like having a new baby to diaper! Shameful work and would not recommend Shamrock.

Great experience with Shamrock from start to finish. Very knowledgeable sales staff, professional and clean installation process, and good assistance with rebate applications.

I can't say enough good things about this company. About 5 years ago, my heating/AC system died days before my wife was scheduled for major surgery. Shamrock was able to rearrange their schedule and get the entire system replaced in days and ready before my wife returned from her surgery. Not only were they quick, but they were also very friendly, professional, and did a great job. They were also very good about working through a number of choices available to us (basic, mid-level, and top of the line systems) so that we could select a system which met our needs, and at price we could afford. Shamrock was the third company we called.They were honest and they gave us what we needed for the best price. They were on time, friendly, and cleaned up , couldn't ask for a better job. We couldn't believe the price different from the other companies. I would use them again and would highly recommend them.

In the middle of July (never a better time) our AC stopped working. I called the company whose contact information was on our heating/ac devices as they were the original installers. "Company-A" dispatched a technician and after evaluation we were told the AC unit needed replacement in entirety. I explained that the home is only six years old and I don't want to do any system upgrades to it; I simply want to replace the air conditioner one-for-one with a compatible unit and get us running again. The technician from Company-A worked up several variations of estimates (to give us options). The costs of replacement of the ac (and compatible components) ranged from $4,300.00 to $13,200.00. I called Shamrock to obtain a second opinion on what was necessary for this one-for-one replacement. Shamrock technician showed up at our home within 3 hours of my phone call to the service desk and reported that the AC did in fact need to be replaced. I spoke with the maintenance department (it was Wes I believe) and they explained to me what item(s) would be a suitable replacement. They were patient with my multitude of questions and answered things in a way that made completely clear what went wrong; what my options were and why; what they could provide me and when. I contracted with Shamrock at approximately 11:00am. They had a repair team, with a replacement unit, at my home by 2:00pm. By four-o-clock in the evening that same day we had cool air in our home. The replacement unit comes with a 1 year installer's warranty and a five year manufacturer's warranty. Technicians were professional, friendly, clean and thorough. Final tally, including the fee for the initial service-call = $2,300.00. I would definitely recommend Shamrock

They are excellent! They are really great! I called them up for a second opinion on whether or not there was anything wrong with my heater, and they were out in 2 hours, and they installed it the next morning. A couple of neighbors told me that they are very good and I just grabbed them. We had to put the heater in because it was getting cold. The quality of their work was very good. They cleaned up.

They were wonderful! They arrived as promised and did as contracted. Took out all the old heater/air conditioner interior and exterior. Check for leaks in the system. Installed a whole house Lennox 2 stage high efficiency gas fired hot air furnace and a Lennox high efficiency outdoor condensing unit, 17 SEER. It took 2 days, as per the contract. They cleaned up after themselves. The thermostat would not talk to the unit and that needed to be replace and they came back another day to do that and show me how to use it. We are very happy with our new heater/air conditioner! We would have never made it through the winter with our old unit this year. We would recommend Shamrock, Inc. to anyone. We were taken back by the price of every unit we received an estimate for, Shamrock, Inc. gave us the best guarantee for the price.

Converted from Oil heat to natural gas. The process went very well overall and the workmanship was very good. The final inspections, oil tank removal and final paperwork took longer than we expected.

Work done in May of 2005. Great service then and I still have a contract with them.

They were prompt and the estimate was complete. They are always willing to answer questions. When they told me they were coming, they came and worked with the township inspectors to make sure everything was done at the code. In several cases they were actually here when the inspector came to evaluate their work. I would use them again.

I contacted Shamrock to schedule an appointment for a repair. I took into consideration that my request was coming at the height or the first heatwave of the season and was satisfied that it would be 2 days before they could come out. On 27 June, the date of the appointment, I received a voicemail from Lois stating that she would have to reschedule because they didn't have a technician available. When asked when they could come out, I was given a time for the following day which was bad for me due to work obligations and my husband being deployed to Afghanistan. I asked when the next earliest appointment would be thinking that it would be Monday or Tuesday. I was wrong. The earliest appointment after the 28th would not be until 8 July. A service provider that cannot provide service in a timely manner is not a good company, in my opinion.

The guys from Shamrock Heating and Air Conditioner were really good. They guy came out and did an estimate and he came out timely and had all the paperwork. He went through a detailed explanation for all the products and services. He was very professional and knowledgeable.

We looked through the Angies list book and called a second heating and cooling contracter named SILA. They sent a guy over who built a sheetmetal box and installed the humidifier on it along with correcting our reversed hot/cold water pipes up in the utility room. We are definetly never going to call or use Shamrock again, obviously everything is a BIG expensive or impossible job to them.

After Hurricane Sandy, regardless if home actually experienced flood damage all metered natural gas connections to homes were disconnected on Long Beach Island. After state of emergency was lifted on LBI a certified plumber was allowed to be hired to reconnect gas line to meter and turn gas on to home after inspecting appliances for leaks. Shamrock was contacted and agreed to provide service on approximately 11/24/12, a Saturday. Work consisted of connecting a single gas line to meter, turning gas service on to home, and checking for gas leaks to: 1- stove, 1- heater and 1- hot water heater, however no stated appliance was flooded. Prior to service Shamrock did not provide price for service but because Shamrock installed a 2 zone HVAC system to new home construction in 2006 , thought bill would not be excessive. Bill received just before 12/25/12 for $450 for service. Called Shamrock and asked why such an outrageous price, Shamrock stated because had to pay technician OT for weekend. Called several other area plumbers afterwards for what service charge would have been, stated between $175-225. Now the only reason I haven’t submitted a price gouging complaint during a state of emergency to the State of NJ is because it was my fault for not getting service cost in writing. However, Shamrock did take $50 off bill. Will never use again, either for vacation property or at primary residence. Recommend those seeking HVAC replacement or repair seek a more ethical contractor.

My air conditioner stopped working. I noticed that fan in the outside unit does not run. I called Shamrock in the morning they came the same day in the afternoon. Looked at the unit, figured out the problem right away, changed capacitor, charged AC with freon. Everything was up an running within 30 min. Excellent service. I would use this company again.

Shamrock and 2 others were invited to replace our 22 year old heating and air conditioning system. We also had some changes required in the cold-air return system. The Shamrock estimator was very professional and spent the time to ensure we had the proper capacity system installed. We also had asked about the changes to the cold-air return which he calculated for us, and the move of the existing compressor to the other end of our house (outside). We opted for the highest efficiency system for both AC and heating, and they helped us obtain both the NJ energy saver credits and the Lennox rebates, doing all the paperwork. They also were very flexible in changing to a new thermostat (the Ecobee) which I wanted due to its ability to work remotely on my wi-fi network, and they had experience also with this device. The system was installed on the promised date in June in the time they said it would take; removal of the old (very heavy Lenox pulse system) and air conditioning compressor went without a hitch. I knew that moving the compressor would leave some holes in the aluminum siding, and they patches these appropriately. They laid down canvas on all of the floors to ensure no dirt or damage during the removal and installation process. There were no issues with the 3 township inspectors who came to review the work (also set up by Shamrock). Overall I am very pleased with the service and system provided, and will consider them for future service and work in my home.

They came out as expected to give us a written estimate. They were the only company who's estimate had all of the appropriate information to make an informed decision. We had three other companys come out who either didn't show up, didn't follow up or did not give us a proper estimate. The appointment was scheduled for two weeks later, their crew showed up on time and finished early. Though we later found out the unit was the wrong one installed, they fessed up to us before we knew it, called us and made it right at a date and time that was convenient for us. They did not bat an eyelash when I requested extra replacement filters due to this mistake and delivered them promptly. My husband and I are very private people and we did not feel that they were invading our space or felt uncomfortable with them at anytime. We are satisfied with their service and completion of our project. I do not usually grant excellent ratings, but if there was one in between excellent and good, they would be given that!

I have been using them since 10 years. My experience with them was okay.
