Andrew from NJ Kitchen & Baths made the entire process as smooth and seamless as it could have possibly been. He was our single point of contact throughout the entire renovation and was always up front, honest, and transparent with how the work would be done. His estimated price was substantially lower than the two other quotes we received despite providing a more comprehensive scope of service. Andrew handled all the permits, inspections and every other detail needed to get the project started. The crew performing the work was there on time every day, did their best to limit the dust and dirt tracked into the house and always cleaned up after themselves before leaving. The end result was everything we had hoped for. We were extremely pleased with Andrew and his crew, and would absolutely use them again or recommend them to anyone is the area looking to redo a bathroom.
Description of Work: NJ Kitchen & Baths fully renovated our master bathroom, taking it down to the stubs and starting fresh. All plumbing, electrical, tile, trim, everything was handled by NJ Kitchen & Bath and beautifully finished.

The renovation process went very smoothly and we couldn't be happier with the end result. Andrew runs a honest and knowledgeable business. His pricing is fair and he always provided options to any issue that came up during the course of the project. Andrew literally held our hand through the entire process, ensuring that no time was wasted unnecessarily. His constant communication ensured that we didn't have any unnecessary delays in the timeline. He was always a quick phone call, text or email away if we needed an answer to a question or reassurance on a decision. We are thrilled with the results and value of our renovation and feel we have a new bathroom we'll enjoy for many years to come. If you are considering doing any renovation work in your home you'd be remiss if you didn't contact Andrew and NJ Kitchens and Baths for a consultation and estimate.
Description of Work: NJ Kitchens and Baths managed a basement bathroom renovation where we converted a half bath into a full bath. Andrew was very detailed and provided us with a cost and time estimate. He also walked us through what to expect at each phase of the renovation. Anytime we had a question for him, he was quick to get back to us with an answer and reassurance. His crew was always punctual and cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day, helping reduce the feel that we had major renovation going on. We had other companies provide us with estimates but NJ Kitchens and Baths was the only one who provided us an estimate in very specific detail. Andrew's attention to detail is what made us feel confident that we were making the right decision in having NJ Kitchens and Baths do our bathroom renovation. NJ Kitchens and Baths managed all aspects of the renovation, from applying for permits to helping us pick our finishes. All work that was handled by sub-contractors was done in a timely and clean manner as well. We never had to worry about who was in our house while we were at work.

After several interviews and estimates, I decided to go with New Jersey Kitchens and Baths, Inc. for my bathroom remodel. The job took 4 weeks to complete. The owner, Andrew Koutoudis promised to start the job July 22nd, but to my surprise, he started a week earlier which allowed me more time to enjoy my summer. Andrew kept in touch with me via phone, text, and periodic visits to make sure everything was going as planned. He was easy to reach and always responded to my calls or text messages. There are many adjectives to describe Andrew: high standards, honest, problem solver, friendly, funny, etc. He has a great personality and was easy to work with. Andrew went out of his way to make sure that I was happy with my remodel. Clearly, he cared about my project. There were some minor issues with plumbing, but Andrew made sure they were resolved. Carlos and his crew were responsible for the demolition and remodeling. Carlos did an outstanding job; he turned my bathroom into an oasis. He has an excellent work ethic and had some great ideas about my bathroom. I took his advice on everything, and the bathroom is absolutely beautiful. His work is impeccable! Carlos? crew, Oscar and Ricardo were respectful and very hard workers; they did an excellent job. I?m glad that I chose NJ Kitchens and Baths for my project and I would definitely hire them again. If you have high standards for your bath or kitchen project then hire New Jersey Kitchens and Baths, Inc., and if you?re lucky, Carlos and his crew will be the workers on your next project!

Andrew and NJ Kitchen and Bath were fantastic. The best quality that I really appreciated was their transparency and communication. They were very honest and open about design, construction and budget. Their professionalism was paramount as we invited them into our home for a 4 week kitchen project. There was never a time where we were left in the dark or questioned one of their decisions. We interviewed many companies and we choose NJ Kitchen and Bath for their attention to detail, value and most importantly their dedication to their craft. From design to final inspection, they worked and collaborated with us to design/build our dream kitchen and we could not be happier with their process and work.

From start to finish NJ Kitchens and Baths was a pleasure to work with. We met with John a number of times to decide what we wanted and he gave us some good ideas of what could be done with our small bathroom space. Once we had a design plan, we spoke to Andrew about the next couple steps including demo and then rebuilding. The people that do the construction work were very professional and always left the house in perfect condition. I felt very safe leaving a key for them to come in and do their work. We had a slight issue with a leaky shower head when the water went on after installation, but it was a manufacturer issue, not an issue with installation. Andrew contacted the manufacturer and a replacement part was sent immediately and the situation was resolved at no cost to us. All the leg work is done for you with regard to permits, inspections, dumpster, etc. We worked with the suggested vendors that were very knowledgeable and helpful with their expertise. Our tile person even helped us design something that looked fancier without increasing the cost! Great company to work with, well worth every cent!

Andrew was one of 3 contractors we met with regarding the complete gutting of our only bathroom (blue tiles, toilet, tub, sink and "mud" floor, in blue of course!). He was thoroughly professional, obviously very experienced and readily provided good information and suggestions regarding our project. Very pleasant to deal with, too, and his prices were in the same ballpark as the other quotes we received. After huge indecision we decided to go with another contractor, but would have no problem recommending him to others.

We met with 6 contractors, 3 from big box stores and 3 independent companies. We provided each contractor with the same specifications. We met with all 6 within 3 days of each other. During the estimate process, Andrew from NJ Kitchens and Baths was the most friendly to deal with and offered the most suggestions for redoing the bathrooms. Additionally, he spent the most time with us during the estimate process. Given the price quoted, the competence exuded and the interest Andrew showed in the project, we decided to award the business to NJ Kitchens and Baths. We were not disappointed. The process began quickly with Andrew applying for the permits in our town. He was realistic with timing and managed our expectations with regard to the process. He provided us with contacts at each of his vendors for selecting materials from stone to tile to fixtures. Each vendor spoke highly of Andrew and his team. During the project, Andrew was on site to manage his team and was in contact with us regularly (we were not yet living in the home). Additionally, we had other contractors on site for other projects and Andrew became our eyes and ears while we were not there. The entire project was completed on time and exceeded our expectations. After we moved in there were several small finishing touches that needed to be completed - Andrew and his team finished them quickly and with no hassle or delay. We highly recommend Andrew and his team. He stands out as the best contractor we've ever dealt with.

Andrew and the team at NJ Kitchens and Baths have been real partners when it?s come to our house. We found them through word of mouth from a very satisfied neighbor. They had worked on their kitchen, and we knew we had a lot of work we needed them to do. The ceiling in our kitchen had collapsed and it was because of our older bathroom. We turned to NJ Kitchens and Baths to completely remodel our full bath and repair our kitchen ceiling. They took our bathroom to the studs and gave us the bathroom of our dreams. They worked diligently to work with our vision and made it a reality. The bathroom is a masterpiece. They were so responsive throughout the whole process. We knew we were in good hands. Subsequently, we had them remodel our half bath and replace the drop ceiling in the basement. The same level of attention and care came throughout the other work they did for us. Even when it came time to sell our home, Andrew and team did a couple of small jobs so that we could put the house on the market with confidence. There?s no doubt in my mind that the work NJ Kitchens and Baths performed for us helped increase the value of our home. I am very appreciative of the relationship we had with NJ Kitchens and Baths and wholeheartedly recommend them.
Description of Work: - Full Bath Remodel to the studs. Updated Electric. Installed new tub. Tiled almost the entire bathroom. Installed new shower and increased the size of the stall. Repaired our kitchen ceiling. (the details above relate to the bathroom remodel) - Half Bath Remodel - Put in new toilet, sink, outlets. Tiled and painted. - Put in new ceiling and lighting in the basement.

For the bathroom remodeling, we invited the owner of the company Andrew to do the estimate. He visited our home in mid April and left a good impression with intention to do the project. One and half week past, still no written estimate from his company until I called him back and asked if he is still interesting in doing the job. Few days after we received ridiculous estimate with the high price and the work listed that didn?t not apply to our project. I called him again; he sent the corrected one with the price still elevated but acceptable. We accepted the offer and asked him when the work will start on. His reply was that his crew would be available on May 15. We had the permit open but only needed the update with a new company. The work didn?t begin on May 15, not scheduled for the weeks after and he never bothered to apply for the permit update. We were very confused why he keeps delaying and has never presented us the contract to go over it and sign. Finally, he opened up and said that he has another job to complete in 3-4 weeks and then he will be on TV show for the rest of July. How dare he was to keep us on the back burner? We feel being manipulated and having wasted so much of our precious time. He is just dishonest individual and because of his indecency, we lost many other potential contractors that we considered for the job. Do not rely on his promises; he will screw your plans up easily.

After our initial meeting I knew they would be very difficult to deal with. Not only do they have BMW expectations and a Kia budget, but are very particular. I did a little research on them and found a negative review they wrote for another contractor. I spoke to that contractor who advised me to steer clear, this homeowner had no power for 3 weeks during a storm and was blaming the other contractor for not being timely!! He affirmed my suspicion that this customer would not be worth it. It was best for both parties not to move forward.

OVerall NJ Kitchens and Baths are number one in my book. They showed up on time, worked hard and cleaned up at the end of every day! You wont be dissapointed. Call Andrew Koutoudis today...
Description of Work: We had Andrew and his crew remodel our 2nd bathroom. They were awesome! They ripped out the existing bathroom and installed a new bathroom. They were in and out in less than a week. Andrew's crew were polite, clean and very thorough. We were so happy with the results and the flooring they helped us choose that we decided to have our floors in the kitchen and dining room replaced. Anyone who has ever had work done in your kitchen knows how difficult it can be. We have 5 children and making due without a kitchen is not very easy. However they made it as painless as possible and were very quick to have my appliance back in place and my kitchen functioning again.

From planning, demolition, and construction, the project to renovate our master bathroom and remodel our bedroom was a complete success! There was a minor issue with the cabinetry company, but Andrew and his crew worked well to resolve the issue and keep the project on track. From start-to-finish, NJ Kitchens and Baths showed focus and dedication. Andrew was always accessible and extremely responsive to any concern or question. The project came in on-buget, and the end product is truly magnificent. We couldn't be happier with the results!
Description of Work: NJ Kitchens and Baths exceeded our expectations to renovate our master bathroom and enhance our bedroom with crown molding and recessed lighting. Andrew Koutoudis, owner and general contractor, guided us through each phase of the planning, design, and construction. His dedication clearly indicated that the success of the project was as much his priority as it was ours. His demeanor was always positive and friendly. He coordinated every aspect of the project and provided creative suggestions and guidance. Before the project began, Andrew made several visits to our home, carefully listening to our ideas and incorporating them into the best possible design plan to maximize use of the space. Also, he took the time to accompany us to choose cabinetry, tile and granite, and fixtures. Thanks to his efforts, our new master bathroom has a luxurious, spa-like feel with quality workmanship and finishes. A foreman and construction crew were assigned to us for the entire project. The workers were polite and courteous and worked in a clean, orderly fashion. They showed masterful skill and meticulous attention to detail. They were always respectful of our family life and took great care to protect our home, such as flooring, furniture, and rugs, during the job. They were on-time each morning and worked efficiently and effectiviely to meet established goals. We highly recommend NJ Kitchens and Baths and will use the company again in the near future to renovate our kitchen!

After interviewing 3 contractors, we decided to go with Andrew. We appreciated his down-to-earth attitude and it seemed like communication would be easy with him. He didn't come in with an agenda or try to sell us something that we didn't want or need, he listened to what we wanted and helped us get there. He started the project when he said he would and things moved fast and efficiently from the get-go. On our very first day, we discovered termite damage. Darek, the project lead brought it to our attention right away. Andrew provided a fair estimate right away and he addressed the issue quickly without causing delay to the project. Day after day, there was visible progress. His crew were always on time, polite and left the house neat at the end of each workday. My husband commented that he had never seen such a clean crew in his 20 plus years as an Architect. This made living in the house during construction as easy as it can be. I think the crew were sensitive to all of us living in the house while they worked and they made things as clean and organized as possible. The quality of the work was the same way. Derek and the crew paid attention to every detail. All of the subcontractors were excellent, from the neat wiring (complimented by our town inspector for his work) all the way to the quality paint job (nice straight lines) and everything in between. All in all a great experience and cant wait to use NJ Kitchens and Baths for our next project!
Description of Work: Project entailed a total gut renovation of kitchen and eat-in kitchen area. We gutted to the studs and rafters, replaced ceiling, subfloor, dry wall, new electrical panel, new recessed lighting, moved plumbing, installed island with cooktop and hood. Replaced and reframed an exterior door to become a window. Installed new cabinets, tile flooring, backsplash, trim, appliances and painted throughout. Also removed walls between the kitchen and dining room and between the dining room and living room requiring structural beams to be installed. Skim coated all existing drywall in those 2 rooms, repainted ceiling, walls and installed new trim throughout. (Costs listed is for NJBA, total renovation cost was $67,000)

Install new tub, tile, etc.The lack of professionalism of this contractor was horrendous. Made promises on timing and then delayed for weeks, didn't file permits when they promised, didn't start when they promised, denied they promised dates, and were rude in correspondence. Finally when I asked for them to make good on some of the promises, they tore up the contract and refused to do the work. I now have all the materials in my living room and no one to remodel the bathroom, and no idea how to get the permit from the town. Clearly they don't need contracts if they can tear them up, so I strongly recommend you don't give them any money! I can only hope I actually get my first payment back.

NJ Kitchens and Baths is not in business to frustrate and/or lose customers. We are courteous and professional; this is the first customer we have ever had issues with as can be evidenced by the reviews. We decided to cancel the project because of her unrealistic expectations. Here are the facts: 1. We first met on March 30. On April 6 we provided the written proposal. On April 16 the deposit was received. The permits were submitted on April 22. 2. We never gave a specific start date, how could we? We made it clear that we would start after the permits were ready by the town and the materials were onsite. This customer must have not understood what we explained. 3. The permit application process takes about a week and then it's up to the building department to approve them. The entire permitting process can take up to 4 weeks depending on the building department. 4. The contract was not torn up nor was her check ever deposited (she is bit dramatic). Both were returned to her intact. We felt given the customer’s unrealistic expectations and apparent lack of understanding that it would be in everyone’s best interest not to start the project and return her deposit (which was never cashed). We wish the outcome was different and hope she can finish her project smoothly.

We hired NJ Kitchens to remodel our mudroom and do some improvements in the kitchen and bathroom. We were looking to sell/rent our home and we needed these changes to make the house more marketable. We were extremely pleased with the outcome and the work came out better than expected. They even found an extra room in our kitchen that was originally covered up by a wall that was turned into a much needed pantry. We also have a very outgoing 3 year old little boy and they were great with him and even at the end of it the project manager bought him a little toy, which he loved. Again the work was great and we ended up renting our property 3 months later.

The men who work with this company exceed expectations. They are courteous, honest and hard working. They show up on time and work long hours. Their workmanship is amazing and they take great pride in their work, something you don't see often anymore. There have never been hidden fees or unexpected costs at the end. It is refreshing to work with a contractor that you can trust!

Description of Work: I have been looking into having my aunt's kitchen done for over a year. I interviewed 3 local contractors and felt most comfortable dealing with Andrew. His crew fully gutted the kitchen, updated the electrical and plumbing. Added recessed lights with dimmer, under cabinet lighting with dimmer, under cabinet outlet and a garbage disposal. The exterior wall had very old insulation and they replaced the old, drafty window. We had all new sheetrock, new porcelain tiling installed, new cabinets, new granite countertop, new ductwork for the exhaust fans and new backsplash. The crown molding looks beautiful. They fabricated custom baseboard heat cover that look amazing. Carlos was our foreman and always kept us up to date. It was a pleasure working with him and his crew.

Andrew and his team are honest and trust-worthy. Those two qualities caught my interest even more when choosing a company to handle my bathroom renovation. The renovation fell right on budget, not to mention the timing involved during the process of the renovation. Everything went according to plan! The whole project took a month to complete, due to gutting the complete bathroom out and rebuilding it back up. I could have not picked anybody else to take on my bathroom project. Very happy and satisfied with the quality of work done! Another good quality of Andrew, was his communication skills between his team and myself. Always kept me informed of any changes or complications that needed to be taken care of during the course of the project. A very big plus!! Definitely would hire Andrew and his team again! N.J. Kitchens and Bath was the way to go!!!
Description of Work: I hired Andrew, because I needed my 2nd floor bathroom remodeled. As small as it was, it needed to be extended to make the space larger and make look like a real bathroom. From day 1, Andrew and his team were very cautious of the work being done. I had my bathroom gutted out from top to bottom,as you can imagine very dusty and a whole lot of heavy material being discarded of. Andrew's team made sure all the entry ways on the 2nd floor were covered to protect against dust particles. They also made sure that the hard wooded floors weren't damaged as well. Andrew's team placed tarp from the 2nd floor, all the way down to the front entrance of my home. The whole team was very neat in cleaning up afterwards at the end of each day. I had all the piping redone, in which an excellent job was done on that and they made sure no leaks were coming out the pipes. They also did a phenomenal job with the tiling in the shower area! I needed new walls put in, due to the old bathroom being all tile, so they put new walls and painted them as well. Andrew and his team made sure that I the client was very satisfied with the work being done.

After an exhaustive quoting process, Andrew Koutoudis was one of the few contractors who spelled out exactly what he would do and what he would provide for the quoted price. He was not the least expensive but he was nowhere close to the most expensive (the top 2 quotes were between $22,000 and $26,000). He warned me about 3 potential change orders, only one of which materialized, relating to the condition of the floor joists. He provided several local sources from which I could choose to order fixtures and finishes, and once I had placed my order, he arranged to apply his contractor's discount and picked up the materials for delivery to the site. The work took about two and half weeks and was done almost on time -- a personal matter kept the foreman away for a few days. In order to make up for the delay, Andrew replaced the electrical service box with a larger one at no cost to me. Andrew communicated well with me and always either answered his phone or returned my calls promptly. The house was protected well, the crew cleaned up after themselves and the new bathroom is functional (unlike the old one) and good-looking.
Description of Work: Complete renovation of a small bathroom, including:* demo to the studs* sistering of floor joists* new insulation* new toilet* new sink* new electrical line* new fixtures* ceramic tile on floor and tub surround* new lighting fixtures* ceiling exhaust* vanity and medicine cabinet* new window* repair of kitchen ceiling (damaged by leak in previous bathroom)* installation of track lighting in kitchen* replacement of electrical service box

We finally decided to completely renovate the kitchen and associated eating area. The work included removing all cabinets, and flooring. One of our goals was to remove the sofit that completely surrounded the area. Once we took out all of the old cabinets and flooring, we went to work on the sofit. We found that there was a section that had a great deal of plumbing. They worked very diligently to reroute what plumbing made sense and all wiring so that we could get rid of most of the sofit. They did recommend that we not completely get rid of it, due to the extra costs. We had several delays, none of which were their fault, but they worked as long as possible every day to try to make up time. We even had a severe snow storm during the construction, but they worked right through it. (while waiting for a ride, one of the workers even shoveled the sidewalk - without asking). They worked out any issues. Took care of all of the permits and inspections, handled subcontractors (Electricians). And made sure that we were happy. They have even checked back routinely to ensure that there were no issues. Great company for kitchens.
Description of Work: Removed all cabinets, flooring, in kitchen and eat in dining area. Installed new plumbing as necessary, installed recessed lighting in the ceiling, laid new flooring, installed new cabinets, built an exhaust vent for the hood, reinstalled all appliances, painted the walls and ceiling, installed under counter lighting, and rewired all electrical circuits to meet code.
