A Shore Maid

I made arrangements for a monthly cleaning service. The cleaners were supposed to be at the house at 2:30 pm on June 28. I took off work to be there with my 95 year old mother. At 3:15, I called A Shore Maid to find out where they were and there was no answer at any of their numbers. About 15 minutes later, I got a call back and was told they wouldn't arrive until about 5 pm! When I said that wasn't a good time, I got an apology delivered in a flat monotone, but no offer to make other arrangements. When I asked why I hadn't been called--one of the owner's many promises-- I got the same non-apology (read from a script, maybe?) I told them to cancel the cleaning agreement. Four weeks later, they showed up and tried to get my mother to let them in the house! It took about 15 minutes of her insisting they weren't coming in the house for them to leave. If they show up again, she's calling the police!

They charge per hour. When I want to use them, I call them up and ask them to come. I love that I can call them up and they will immediately come and do the job. Like I called them on a Monday and they cleaned my house in the afternoon. They were thorough. They are very trustworthy. I've never noticed anything damaged or taken or anything like that. They were polite and fast. They really get in and get out. I've been using them for probably two years now and I never had a problem.
