RCH Paving, LLC

These guys are grate, I needed some work on a house I was selling . Some one referred RCH, to me I gave them a call and they did a beautiful job. I was promise that the job would be completed in a timely fashion and it was. I will be using RCH Paving in the future for all my projects

They do amazing work its been 3 years and the work they did still looks like it was just done ð ð ¾

The below email was sent to the BBB after Derby Street Commons Association hired RCH Paving LLC to replace 12 driveways. RCH Paving LLC did a VERY terrible job. You be the judge by seeing the project for yourself. Location: Derby Street Commons, Derby Street East Orange NJ. Dear Sir or Madam: I am writing to file a complaint against RCH Paving LLC, 2781 Allen Ave Union NJ 07083. Derby Street Commons Association signed a contract with RCH Paving to replace 12 Driveways (contract attached) The contractual agreement was to asphalt 12 driveways for a total price of $18,400, a down payment of $9,200 given the day work started, and the remainder to be paid in installments of $1022 monthly until paid in full. The contractor, Hugo Freeman, changed this agreement several times, stating the price for construction materials increased, and therefore he was requesting more of a down payment. Derby Street Commons Board agreed to pay an extra $2,000 towards the down payment and an additional $700 to fix concrete cracks in the walkways to units #1,#3,#5, and #7. Currently, 9 of the 12 driveways are asphalted which is faulty workmanship done by RCH Paving LLC. The driveways were not rolled with the proper equipment. The driveways were rolled with a handheld roller used for lawns and would not compress the asphalt as needed. The pictures provided contain depression marks from car tires and footsteps. All 9 driveways were isolated and allowed to cure for more than 7 days before any cars or foot traffic was introduced. Immediately after the 1st car drove on the asphalted driveway the depression marks were noticed and the same with all the other driveways. The remaining 3 driveways were not completed and debris from a different job was dumped in the driveway of unit #10, which will increase the cost for Derby Street Commons to remove. The insurance company for RCH Paving LLC was contacted on 08-03-22 to file a claim for the faulty project. The insurance company for RCH Paving LLC is Hiscox Insurance Inc and their phone number is 888-202-3007 policy# UDC-xxxxxxxx-CGL-21 was contacted on 08-03-22. Claim pending a resolution, the entire project has to be redone due to faulty workmanship. Update 9/21/22- the insurance company has not responded. Derby Street Commons plans to take this matter to the News Media and send emails to the head office of this insurance company. Feel free to pass and see this job for yourself. Derby Street Commons, East Orange NJ Update: 09-28-2022 The contractor and his workers paved the 3 driveways that were not done. A $3,000 check was given. As of today, this project is not 100% completed. This review will be updated once the project is done. March 27th,2023. Work has been completed- not the best and he has been paid in full.

Our church’s 1st time experience with RCH Paving was great. After our recent huge snowstorm I reached out to Home Advisors to suggest pros who could remove the huge amounts of snow around the perimeter of our church. and RCH Paving responded the same day. The snow removal was done in a timely professional manner and because we were so impressed with the work, professionalism and the respectful manner in which we were dealt with, when offered the opportunity to go under contract with the company we agreed. Special thanks to Mr. Freeman who stuck with me during the entire process. You’re the best!!!

My experience with this company was terrible terrible terrible!! they paved my yard and knew it was going to rain and did it anyway just for the money! I will never recommend them to anyone. When I ask to speak to the boss one of the worker stated I am the boss that is a lie! The one that draw up the contract to have you sign raise his voice and quarrel with my agent like he wanted to fight! These people is NO GOOD to do business with I beg anyone think twice before hiring them and my name is Judy F

After my husband and I searched and received estimates from other companies we decided to use RCH Paving we chose them because they are black owned and promised a two-year warranty our driveway came out great. This is a company I will use again and again Mr. Freeman was very Professional and understanding he knew exactly what we wanted and was able to deliver.

They did a shoddy job and blamed it on the weather. The weather has nothing to do with the fact that they damaged my property and that the paving they did is inched higher than the rest of the sidewalk so people can trip and fall. Cannot open my front door all the way anymore and there is loose gravel in several spots.
