We purchased a $2,000 refrigerator and the worker said one was in stock but ended up not being in stock. I set up for the refrigerator to be delivered on Monday when I had availability to be home. Delivery was for 10-12 and Lowe's called back and said the delivery is cancelled due to the order not being in stock and was cancelled for delivery for Monday. I called the store in Union and ended up being transferred to about 4 or 5 reps. Finally I got to a rep who re-ordered my fridge for delivery on Wednesday. A couple days after I went in to Lowe's to shop for other items and I had the manager look my order up, she then said there was not an order for Wednesday it would actually be about 7-10 days but she would give me $100 off any fridge purchase they had in stock. I did not see any empathy in the manager and after speaking with their complaint dept. the man is looking in to it and I am awaiting a call back with an answer for how they are able to rectify the problem. Wayne, the sales rep who initially sold the fridge and the customer complaint rep, Alex today was good but other than that my service was terrible.
Description of Work: I ordered a refrigerator that kept being placed on back order.

We purchased a new gas stove and dishwasher from Lowe's in November 2011. They had a large selection to choose from and we feel we got a good deal. The person who helped us choose the appliances, and recommended needed accessories, was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The checkout person, however, was not. She made an error scheduling the delivery which we had to contact corporate to correct, as she had already 'updated the scheduling system' and couldn't modify it. The call with corporate went smoothly and everything was sorted out with minimal effort/frustration. Other than the mix up during checkout the whole experience was great. The guys that delivered the stove were AWESOME (A++). They went above and beyond our expectations. Unfortunately I do not know the delivery/install company's name. I will update this review if I find the paperwork. The dishwasher delivery and installation folks were also very good (A).
Description of Work: We purchased a new gas stove and dishwasher from Lowe's in November 2011. The experience at the store was very good, but not great (see below). The delivery and installation, particularly of the gas stove, were great experiences. The delivery/install folks were not from Lowe's, but local companies/contractors associated with Lowe's.

Since our existing oven stopped working and was not repairable, we had to get a stove fast to replace it. They offered the best turnaround time from purchase to delivery - 24 hours. The price of the stove was okay. They arrived after the time range they provided. However they did call within 15 minutes of not arriving within the timeframe set. They did a fine job of taking the very old and large stove and put in the new one quickly. It has been working fine with no issues.

The guys that work there are helpful. People are usually around to help you find out where you should be going in the store. It is a little hard to find things but I know they will have anything I need so it is sort of a trade-off.
Description of Work: We bought odds and ends for home improvement and bought some flooring.
