From the moment Gary looked at the job to estimate it and tell me what was needed I was confident that he knew what he was doing, and clearly he did. He gave me a very accurate estimate of the cost, worked efficiently and left everything cleaner than he found it. He clearly cares about the job he is doing. He took care of several other odd jobs around the house while he was here - adjusting a window and door that stuck when opening, fixed down spouts and dents in my siding and identified the source of a leak - in other words he seems able to do anything. Hire him. You won't regret it.

Gary did an incredible job. We were in a tight spot approaching our move-in date on our new house and had a huge electric job wrapping up. We needed someone who could get in and get the spackling job done quickly on the many holes cut throughout the home. Most bids we got were from contractors who intended to charge per hole ($$) that needed patching and planned to span the work over 2-3 days. Gary is one of the few who offered us a bid based on an hourly rate instead of the number of holes, which given his skill, speed, and expertise turned out to be the best deal we could've hoped for. He was able to schedule us in last minute, despite a busy schedule, and got the job done for us in one day! Note: the number of holes had doubled unbeknownst to us from when we gave Gary the count to when he came to do the job- and he still got it done in the time and rate promised! His workmanship is also the real deal. We worried that someone who would speed through and get it done fast might sacrifice quality work on our new walls, but not Gary. He was thorough, neat, and did incredible work. We are so grateful for his service and believe he represents the best value by a long shot. Would definitely hire again.

The best contractor I have hired in over 20 years! Gary is reliable, efficient and extremely knowledgeable. He communicates well, arrives on time, leaves the area clean and finishes what he says he will do for the price he quoted. We had a problem with water getting into our back room that no one seemed to be able to figure out. Gary analyzed the situation and was able to make the alterations to stop it from happening. He followed up with us and recommended (and contacted) a contractor to complete the concrete work we needed.

Gary was by far the absolute best experience a homeowner can have with a Handyman! Not only did he communicate well, he showed up on time. Explained every step of the way. From the very first time I called Gary he was a professional. He asked a lot of questions around what I wanted done and he did an amazing job connecting me with his trusted network of granite guys, plumbing supply house, cabinet distributor, etc. This made the process extremely smooth and I couldn't believe how fast they completed the entire job. I have worked with a lot of contractors and you get what you pay for. They don't show up when they say they are going to, they juggle to many jobs at the same time, they cut corners and you have to have work redone or it takes them forever to comeback and finish the last 10% of the job. With Gary, he starts and finishes the job. He does whatever it takes and most importantly he does what he says he is going to do period. I personally have never had an experience like this with anything around contracting and moving forward I will use Gary for everything. Lastly, his team is professional, clean, efficient and seek perfection.

Gary was super responsive, punctual and finished the job in a very professional manner. He drew the rough sketch of the mudroom and I used this for the township approval meeting. His final construction turned out exactly the same it was drawn in the blue print. I would highly recommend Gary and rehire him again for any future projects.

He responded immediately, showed up when promised and completed the work in even less time than he projected, which meant less money. His assessment of the project showed a much deeper understanding of what was needed than anyone else we spoke to and the finished product did not disappoint. You may find lower priced options but you get what you pay for and Gary was worth every penny. Highly recommend (and are trying to figure out what we're going to have him do next).

Extremely professional and pleasant. Arrived on time and was very efficient in getting the job done well. Clean up of the work site was spotless after service, it was like he wasn't there. Pricing was also very reasonable, considering other estimates I received. Will definitely hire again! Highly recommend you go with Mr. Greenwald. My only regret was not taking before and after pictures but the work done was very good.

Fantastic! Gary was there when he said he'd be there. Every time. His work was impeccable. He knew where the problems came from, and fixed the root of the problem so it didn't happen again. Can't recommend highly enough!

Who returns an email from someone they've never met within 5 minutes on Super Bowl Sunday because they're frantic about wood rot you've found behind a wall of a house you just bought? Gary Greenwald. Gary saw us the NEXT MORNING. Within 5 minutes he knew not only how to patch up our problem, but how to prevent the water damage that created our huge mess. He waterproofed the area between our deck and house, found all areas of damaged wood/sheetrock replaced, re-shored, in ONE DAY, in FREEZING temps, and then in a snowstorm. Gary is an encyclopedia of knowledge and confidence - all well-earned. He rebuilt our room, made some value-adding suggestions, including crafting a mantel for our fireplace, and setting up wiring for an entertainment system. Gary knows GREAT craftsmen - he brought in a great plumber and electrician to address other issues, and knows all the best professionals - masons, roofers - all of whom excel at what they do, and all of whom dropped what they were doing to work with Gary. I'll post before and after pics ASAP. Gary saved our lives! Can't possibly recommend him highly enough!!

Gary did floor tiling, kitchen cabinet work, wall mounting for a TV, and a large mirror. He does fantastic work, is upfront and honest. Gary was prompt, friendly, and did exactly what we wanted him to do. We will definitely hire him again in the future for more home improvement projects.

Gary was able to accurately diagnose and resolve a somewhat "mystery issue" we were having with wood rot underneath a window box. Luckily, he was able to fit us into his schedule just a few days later to completely repair and resolve the root cause of the issue. Gary and his helper were incredibly knowledgeable, polite, professional, and very very clean and respectful of the surrounding area where they were working. The work is flawless - you would never know it was an after-the-fact fix. I would use Gary again in the future without hesitation.

if you want something done right look no further. Gary can literally do the work of a normal contractor at 2x the quality in half the time. Gary was faced with a difficult task in redoing the our basement bathroom given all the plumbing was under 12 inches of concrete however he showed up with Jack hammer in hand ready to rumble like a surgeon with a scaple. Gary drove a long distance and showed up with a van the equivalent of a home depot work shop. to necessitate speed and the given the depth of the issues we uncovered Gary brought in an electrician and plumber to keep the project moving forward. by day 2 everything was fully demoed, all the plumbing and electric were completed including running the vents to the outside of the house and wall refraimed and tiling was about to start. working double shifts and the very difficult time constraint he was forced to work under. Gary was able to complete every thing in 6 days. and that was including some extras I threw in there like framing a wall for the basement and hanging an lcd tv and putting aping pong table together on his coffee break when the floor tile was setting. and when I say 6 days I mean six days leaving at 10 am on sunday fully cleaned, operational and no callbacks. I have had 3 bathrooms renovated and can say it's hard to envision finding someone to match the energy and organization to deliver such a high quality product.

Excellent job. On time, on schedule. Redid basement in two and a half weeks. The job required a litte more work than initially estimated, but everything looks great. Great work top to bottom. Would rehire.

I had several contractors make an estimate. I could tell immediately that Gary knew exactly what had to be done. It's highly unusual for me to hire someone on the spot, but even though his price was not the lowest we obtained, I did and am not sorry. The work was done well, faster than estimated, and Gary kept us informed all the way until it was done. I would use him again any time.

Great. He showed up on time (on a weekend!), had all his tools ready to go. Didn't dilly-dally to raise his hourly rate. Didn't make a huge mess. Cleaned up well. Pleasant personality. Would hire again defintely.
