I can't say enough about how pleased I am with the services of ChuteMasters. After viewing their Angie's list ratings, I decided to take advantage of an HVAC duct cleaning special. After the purchase, I was immediately contacted by email by Orlando, which included a thank you for the purchase. We then scheduled an appointment over the phone, and he was very accommodating. The technician (Jerry) was punctual, professional and extremely efficient. After a thorough walk-through of the house (3 levels), he explained the project and went about his business. Although I am not one to hover over workmen, I did watch his efforts in one room. He was extremely thorough, and just as importantly he was very neat. I have had this service performed once before, and let's just say I had quite a cleanup. Jerry was so neat, that one would not notice the services were performed. In closing, I was most pleased with the work and services performed, and would highly recommend this service to my friends and neighbors. This was most certainly an A rated project, completed by a most professional and caring company. Thank you Orlando and Jerry. We look forward to seeing you in 2-3 years.

The technician was great. He was a pleasure to have in our home and he took the time to teach me how to upkeep the filters between cleanings. He did a great job and I plan to have him back to clean out the vents at my mother-in-laws. Highly recommended.

Overall the service was what I expected. Hire someone to clean the ducts and not have any issues while they are there. Friendliness and politeness gets them an A.

The gentlemen who came by did an excellent job. An offer like the one we purchased for $185 unlimited vents is a good deal provided you have a large number of vents that make the average vent cost worth it (one should shop around for that price to ensure a deal like this is at least comparable). But solely based on the professional service, we would recommend ChuteMaster to others.

Overall I think the company is solid. I watched a video on duct cleaning scams via Youtube only after purchasing the vent cleaning deal on Angie's list. I suggest anyone else do the same so you won't be disappointed in the method used or the results. It seems to me that the cleaning of vents is more an exercise in things "looking" clean and asthetics rather than a way to improve air quality, air flow or overall health. Note that Chutemaster uses a roto brush method rather than a vacuum method. All things considered, if the vacuum method is performed the wrong way, you might end up with dirtier air than you started with. Seriously, watch a few videos on how it works and the Dateline episode. Anyway, I bought the deal, called Chutemaster, and got an appointment which took a few weeks as they were booked solid due to the deal. The positives were that the technician showed up on time, there was no hard sell though I did purchase the antimicrobial application (and there is no way for me to verify what was being sprayed, it could have been water for all I know but hoping there was a non-harmful chemical that will actually help.) I feel the tech was honest, he said they were not the worst he had ever seen. From the outside, the vents looked like they would have been full of dirt but once the vents were removed, I could see each ductway had a small coating in a few spots of dust but was mostly clean. There were a lot of vents to clean in the house but I don't feel like the tech rushed through the job. The downside. The "machine" used was likely just a shop vac placed inside a big steel drum that was carted around. It made me think that I could have used my own shop vac and done the job myself. The roto brush was attached to a hose that was not nearly long enough to clean an entire duct so I think the cleaning was likely good at the area near the vent and then haphazard as it made its way down the vent and certainly there were large portions of the vent that would have gone untouched. As a previous review mentioned, its more of a thorough vent cleaning vs air duct cleaning. At one point, the tech said something to the effect that I had "A LOT" of vents in the house (which was true) and I detected a hint of an attitude but really it was nothing that warrants a big ding on the company. That being said, now that they have all been cleaned at least at this cursory level, I think as a homeowner if you take it upon yourself to clean them with a shop vac tackling a few of them every few months, you can probably maintain the cleanliness yourself. Given how much time the tech was here, I was glad to pay someone else to do the job initially as it would have taken me all day. I would give myself a "D" for not properly researching the process first before buying but as a new homeowner, it appeared that the previous homeowners never cleaned the house thoroughly. I don't think the air flow is any better than it was before but that has nothing to do with Chutemaster. Only time will tell if I see less dust around the house.

Jerzy was the technician who came and did the work and he was excellent. He had some problems with traffic the day he came to do the job so he was a few hours late. That said, he did a great job and was very through.

Although we waited 30 minutes beyond our appointment time, it was definitely WORTH THE WAIT. Traffic is crazy on Thanksgiving weekend. Jerzy is the gentleman who performed the service. He is polite and efficient. He cleaned up so well, and was respectful of our home. We have an improperly laid the wooden floor that blocks access to the screws holding two vents. Jerzy did not want to cause any damage. Rather than leave these two vents dirty, he accessed them from the basement . It took slightly longer, but he did not want to leave them undone. Despite the fact that our home required service on two floors plus in the basement, Jerzy finished in under three hours. When I first called to make an appointment for the cleaning, I spoke with Orlando who, like Jerzy, is courteous and thorough. He explained everything about how the job would be done and what the price would be. My husband and I are so happy to have found this company. We will use them again and will recommend them without hesitation.

The technician from ChuteMaster was punctual and called to let me know exactly when he'd be there. He was friendly, neat and professional. The duct cleaning was thorough. He was not at all pushy about offering additional services although I did opt to have the anti-bacterial spray and furnace cleaned. He spent a considerable amount of time making sure the job was done right. We immediately noticed a big difference in our air flow within the house and the circulation of heat improved drastically. I highly recommend ChuteMaster.

I was orginally scheduled for NOV 2 however, a representative called me to rescheduled due to Hurricaine Sandy. I told him it wasn't a problem and they came 2 weeks later. The men came in and did an overview of my house and vents. They immediately went to work and worked continuously for over 3 hours. They were polite and careful to clean up after the entire job was finished.

We had been scheduled for October 30, but Hurricane Sandy came into play. Orlando promptly got in touch with us and said he would re-schedule as soon as power was back and he could start scheduling again. Our new date was Nov. 12. Jerzy showed up promptly. We took a tour of the house to see the vents/ducts and he began his work. Jerzy did an excellent job and went beyond our expectations by supplying new dryer ductwork and re-connecting it properly. Jerzy is very knowledgeable, thorough, and kept everything neat and clean. The sanitizing was just spraying something into the vents, so I don't know if that was worthwhile or really what true effect it had. I definitely didn't smell anything different in the house.. Seemed like something I could do myself. However, overall I think Jerzy did a super job.

I had purchased whole house duct cleaning as a special on Angie's List approximately one month ago. As this was a special price there was a slight delay in setting up the appointment, however the technician was punctual, professional and fast. The work was done as promised and as there was no clean out access near the bottom of my heating system, the technician installed one without extra charge. I am very satisfied with the services performed and would recommend to others.

The contractor was punctual, courteous, and obviously experienced with what he was doing. We knew the vents needed cleaning since moving in a couple of years ago, and the dryer-vent was a particular concern for us. He started with the attic vent and moved down through the house. A couple of registers had been painted over by the previous owners, but this posed no problem. I was anticipating a little more feedback from him, e.g. suggestions on filtration to help the system?s life etc. would have been helpful. Overall the quality of service was good and efficient. On the downside, one or two comments were made which seemed out of place. For example, as I was moving a piece of furniture to allow access to a vent, he commented that the vents should be accessible when they arrive. Note, there was absolutely no delay caused to his work whatsoever, he was cleaning another vent at the time. This might have been a communication problem (English probably isn't his first language), but my wife and I both interpreted it as a critique rather than as gratitude for not having one single piece of furniture in his way when he was ready to work on any vent. Another slight negative is that the dryer-vent cleaning created a mess that we had to clean up. Admittedly, the vent was completely clogged with lint, but I was under the impression that the service included the clear-up just as with all the other vents? particularly as the price of the dryer-vent cleaning was over 1/3rd of the price of cleaning all the other vents combined, yet didn?t take nearly as long to do. Bottom line, we?re very pleased with the service and the result, and I would have no hesitation to both recommend and reuse this contractor . I?m pleased that they didn?t try to up-sell as so many contractors are prone to do, even though a little "heads-up" feedback would have been nice. It?s been quite difficult to decide between an A and a B rating overall, but I have opted for B because of the above points.

I saw the deal on Angie's list. I called Chutemaster, and got an appointment - they are booked for a few weeks out, so keep that in mind. Overall, they were ok. The pros: - Kept to the appointment time - Stuck to the price quoted - Did not make any attempt to 'upsell' - Honest: When I asked about the condition of the vents, he said, it wasn't too bad, and I shouldn't need this again for 3 years. - Did not hurry up Cons The cleaning seemed cursory. While the technician diligently removed all vent covers, and vacuumed through each one, this method doesn't really clean your entire air duct system. In hindsight, I should have asked more questions about the methodology (but I guess you get what you pay for). There are different types of air duct cleaning - some use the push/pull method, there are others which have trucks that 'vacuum out' all the dust. Chutemaster uses a 'rotobrush' type of appliance. So while it effectively cleans the surface of every vent, it doesn't really get all the way in. There wasn't much cleaning of the main unit, except for checking the AC filter. I had to question if I couldn't have used a regular vacuum and cleaned out the vents myself. It seemed to be more of a vent cleaning, than really an air duct cleaning.

My experience with ChuteMaster was very professional from begin to end. I initially called ChuteMaster to request an estimate for Dryer Vent Cleaning. I spoke with Orlando (the Owner), Orlando explained the process of how my service would be performed and gave me an estimate of the cost. I immediately scheduled the appointment, which was a few weeks out, but within a reasonable timeframe. (I had received a call back from another Dryer/Air Duct Cleaning company, that initially told me they did not service my area, then called me repeatedly to say they would do it - I did not get a good vibe from them a decided not to use their services.) Unfortunately, I later had to reschedule my initial appointment with ChuteMaster because I had a business conflict that developed. I called back Orlando to reschedule and he was extremely polite and professional. Orlando rescheduled my appointment at my convenience. On the day of the appointment, the serviceman "Jerzy" arrived promptly. He introduced himself as a representative of ChuteMaster and confirmed the service he was to perform, Jerzy performed the service and seemed to enjoy and take pride in his work. He was thorough and explained what he was doing. Jerzy completed the service in less time than was quoted, he cleaned up the work area, cleaned and neatly put away his tools and went on his way. ChuteMaster, Orlando and Jerzy are very professional and I will be using their services in the future

I was very, very happy with the service provided by Chutemaster. I have had other companies clean the vents and this one by far was the best! Orlando communicated with me thru email and immediately answered any questions I had. Jerzy, who is very nice, came out on the day, right on time. This is unlike any other vent cleaning I have had. Each vent was removed, scrubbed and the inside of the vents vacuumed and scrubbed with a special vacuum. This company does not rush to see how many homes that they can do in one day. That was the thing I was impressed most about... they actually spent quite a bit of time to make sure the job was done right. This is a class act company. I will definitely use them again.
