Description of Work: I had them come in to install two ceiling lights where there were none in two of the bedrooms. I provided the light fixtures and the rooms already had switches in them. They came by really quick to provide a quote and were able to schedule me for the repair in the next two weeks. The electrician arrived on time and was very courteous and neat. The lights were installed exactly center- which I didn't think could be done because of the vents but he managed to do it and they look great. He even unscrewed some light bulbs to save me energy when the light switch no longer controlled the lamps. I thought their price was a little bit high considering the job but they did such a great job I feel it was worth it.

Description of Work: The quote process and scheduling was fine. The electrician came out to do the work - took him 2.5 hrs to find the source of the problem...which is understandable. I had a simple clarification question for Mike re. the billing - his explanation was fine. But he was very short with me when I questioned the final charge as the electrician had made an error in his initial calculation. He undercharged us and I was trying to point this out Mike but he cut me off - saying we were charged the right amount. Which at the end we were as the electrician corrected his math error. I didn't appreciate him cutting me off. Also found a lot of debris from the work post job. This was a particular concern as we have a baby who craws. work was fine but didn't like the svc. so wouldn't recommend or use again.

Description of Work: We had tried to replace a faulty light switch in the bathroom. After replacing it ourselves, when we switched the light on the fuse blew. Joe from All City changed the switch and explained what was happening and showed us a simple fix to the new switch to prevent the same problem if we should replace any other switches ourselves. Joe also replaced two fixtures in our hallway. One needed a new electrical box. He spent time in the attic in crazy heat to do the job. The work was done promptly, completely, and with great care to keep work area neat and clean up all materials. The cost was even better than expected after further inspection of the job to be done. I would definitely use All City again and would recommend them to friends and family in the area.

Description of Work: This is the first time I used Angies's list to select a contractor. I contacted them on 10/24/11 and they said someone would be out the next day and would be there by 1:00 p.m. They called by 12:15 on 10/25 and confirmed they would arrive by 1:00 The owner, Mike Volpe arrived at 12:50 assessed the work required and gave a firm price of $130. He finished in about an hour, The required work was installing new wiring for a light fixture in the bathroom. Since this bathroom is very small, I thought the wire would have to be installed behind a new medicine cabinet. He tried the medicine cabinet planned by the tile installer and said installing the wire behind it would cause the wire to be crushed due to insufficient spacing once the cabinet would iinstalled. He advised that to be within the electircal code, he had to adjust where the wire would go, drill through the wall and installed a new switch. He completed the job, It is now ready for the safe installation of the cabinet and the tiling. I won't have to worry about any electrical problem with the lighting . Before he left, he swept the complete area, cleaned up amazingly and was gone in a little over an hour. Great contractor. Description of Work: Hooked up electrical wiring to central a/c unit. They needed to open a bit of the wall to gain access to the unit and did this with the least amount of invasiveness to the wall. Their worked efficiently, were extremely neat and professional, and very pleasant. It was one of our best experiences as homeowners. I would use them again and highly recommend this company. Also, their quote was the most reasonable and they stuck to it despite the difficulty of gaining access to the unit. Very nice, honest people.
