Dan Bowen is very professional and his quote details exactly what you are going to get from every nut and bolt. He always has a master carpenter with one of the labors working with them. Dan provided a superior deck with the craftsmanship to prove it!

After waiting for over 30 days for the proposal Dan called and asked if we still wanted a proposal. I told him yes, When i received the proposal he was using the existing Deck frame (which we discussed was built by the original owner without footings, and would have to be removed and re-built) to support the new roof and the new decking he was going to install. Half of the items that we discussed the day he came out to the house were not even addressed in the proposal. Total waste of my time.

Tear down and total rebuild of deck went very well. As a matter of fact it was done quicker than was originally anticipated.

We did not proceed with the project

The results were outstanding. The work was completed on time as advertised. The crew was outstanding. They cleaned up everything and explained how to clean and maintain my new deck.

Dan was very up front with pricing and offered good advice. He also had a lot of selections in different price ranges. There were no surprises or changes once we settled on what we wanted. The work was done very professionally, and we were very satisfied with the outcome. The men were on time and left everything clean when they were finished. I would certainly recommend Precision Decks .

Did not use since the return call took over one and a half weeks. By then other contractors had been scheduled or estimates obtained. This rating is based solely on their return phone call time and has nothing to do with the quality of this contractor's work.

Excellent!! it's been almost a year and my new deck is absolutely gorgeous. I can't say enough about Dan and his company. about 7 months later I developed a leak in my roof that we thought was underneath the deck, called precision decks and they came back out to remove a few of the boards so the roofers could repair my roof. Excellent company. I need stucco work done, wish they did that.

The guys were responsive to requests & changes; their work is really top notch. I recommend them highly.

I undertook this project with the goal of having the work completed well before the beginning of the summer season at the shore. Dan provided a very organized and straightforward proposal in a timely fashion. His price, while not cheap, turned out to be lowest of the three estimates that I solicited, which was actually a bonus since I felt his expertise and track record were superior. He provided the necessary plans for the permit application and helped expedite the process with the city, which, given the hoops that have to be jumped through, helped to avoid potential delays. As a result, the work began during the last week of February. This was a challenging project, given the age of the house and the, at times, uncooperative weather. However, Dan's team of workers was absolutely up to the task. They were knowledgeable, efficient, hardworking, clean and respectful. Jeff, the crew foreman, was very professional and accommodating and did a great job of communicating status. While I was not present during the entire job, I did get to observe the progress at various stages and was extremely impressed with the quality of workmanship. There were several additional items not part of the original specifications that needed to be performed that were both reasonable and essential, especially given the age of the house. The bulk of the work took about four weeks, and included delays due to weather and the application of an additional coating of the Poly urea on the upstairs deck. All of this was reasonable and well within my timeframe. There were several minor cosmetic changes that I requested at the end that were addressed agreeably and without hesitation. The end result was excellent construction and great appearance. Dan promises to provide quality and satisfaction and he and his work crews deliver that. I would not hesitate to recommend Precision Decks & Remodeling to anyone.

From the very beginning Dan was EXTREMELY responsive and VERY professional. During our first appointment Dan provided us our options and was able to show us some examples of his work. He promptly provided us references so that we can reach out to past cusomters to get thier thoughts. This deck was a huge undertaking as we live the in city and the only way to remove the old deck was to travel through our home through our living room to get to the deck. The workers were extremely careful not to bump the walls or our hardwood floor. THEY WERE AMAZING! The attention to detail was spot on. We had a potetnial issue with how the deck would bump up to our house and I was worried due to our old door it would not be flush but they thought through different scenerios and got it exactly how I imagined. I would highly recommend Dan and Precison Deck and Remodeling. When we are ready to get out roof top deck completed we will defintely call them for the install.

I reached out to this contractor twice - once about two weeks ago and once again over the weekend. They did not get back to me either time. I guess they're either busy, or my job is too small, but it would have been nice to have received an acknowledgement. Since they never responded or came out to look at the project and give me an estimate, I can't comment on the quality of their work or if their pricing is fair. Perhaps other potential clients will have more luck in getting a quote.

Dan was extremely responsive and professional. We were in between two contractors and decided on using the others for the overall project due to a few reasons that tipped the scales. However, I would certainly reach out to Dan in the future for other projects we may need. Pricing was very fair.

The project was to provide access to and to semi-finish a previously inaccessible attic under an A-frame roof. The specific tasks included installing a heavy duty drop down ladder, removing and replacing all insulation, installing lighting, and laying down a plywood floor over a large portion of the attic. Upon opening up the ceiling, Jeff and his team encountered that the wiring was laid on top of the joists which required building up the joists higher to provide clearance before laying the plywood. I was called and clearly informed of this discovery and the slight revision to the project cost as a result of the additional materials and labor. The electrical work was subcontracted. The project was completed quickly and the project has a very finished feel, which speaks to the quality of the workmanship. You may be able to find unskilled laborers to do work for a bit cheaper, but the Precision team prices projects fairly given material costs and associated labor. Probably the most interesting part of the experience was with regard to actually starting the project. This project was sequenced after a new roof was installed. I had to delay Dan and his team's start because there were some complications on the roof project. When I emailed Dan to let him know about the additional work that the roofers needed to complete, he immediately called me. Why did he call? Basically, he wanted to get more details to make sure that I was not being taken advantage of by my roofers. There was no money in this for Dan and Precision, but he was genuinely interested in making sure his customer was getting fair service---even if not from him! It is this level of interest in customer service that creates long-term customers, and Dan, Jeff, and the rest of the Precision team have made me a long-term customer.

Dan and his team did a really nice job on this old wood deck removal from my Center City terrace and replacement with composite Trex decking. It started off with Dan responding almost immediately by calling me to discuss the specific project. Within a few days, he came out to my house to provide an estimate. An estimate was provided several days later, and we scheduled the project to begin---all this within 2 weeks from initial outreach. I had reached out to multiple other decking contractors, and they either never responded or didn?t seem interested in my smaller job and priced the project astronomically high for the materials and labor required. No one else really wanted my business. Dan wanted to earn my business, not just for this project, but for future projects. He really understands the lifetime value of a satisfied customer. As far as the actual work, Jeff, the foreman, came out with another worker to complete the deck job. Despite a more challenging than anticipated project, Jeff and team provided a high-quality finished product and delivered on the price estimate. We have been enjoying our new deck and have the piece of mind that it was installed correctly by people who stand behind their work. I opted to complete a larger project the next month with Dan, Jeff, and team based on this positive experience.

We couldn't be more thrilled with our finished deck. The materials used are of the highest quality. The construction crew was prompt, efficient, and neat. They made friends with our two dogs, and were diligent in making sure that the gate to our fenced yard remained closed while they were working and when they left at the end of each day. The finishing work that had to be done in the inside of our home following the installation of the new door was done with great skill. (You would think that the slider had always been there!) While there were a few very minor issues after the completion of the work, those issues were resolved in a timely fashion and to our satisfaction. We highly recommend Precision Decks and Remodeling.

I spent nearly three months researching providers here, on HomeAdvisor, and locally. I decided to work with Precision in the end, and could not be happier with the decision. Dan was able to set up an appointment to consult within 3 days of my call, and arrived exactly when he said he would. I had pretty specific ideas in mind, because I've been thinking about this project for YEARS, but had overlooked a few considerations. Dan offered to have his architect take a look and that turned out to be a fantastic idea -just a couple small changes made all the difference in the design. With that finalized, we agreed on cost and terms and then the hardest part - waiting for it to start! When the crew came out to complete the work, they were the kind of guys you're happy to have in your home. Clean cut, respectful, punctual, and professional. The site was clean every day and the job was completed on time as discussed. Best of all the work is impeccable, and we now enjoy another whole facet of our home. I recommend Dan, and Precision, highly and without reservation.

We obtained four (4) quotes based on a design drawing we prepared. We chose Precision Decks based on the owner, Dan Bowen's, expertise and price. We appreciated and agreed to a few changes in size, design and deck materials. We went to their local office to see samples, and then made the final decision on materials and colors. Their office prepared the permit paperwork, which we submitted and then we paid the permit fees directly to our municipality. The permit process went quickly, and once the permit was approved, Precision Decks promptly scheduled our installation. Precision Decks crew was professional, prompt, neat, clean and efficient -- while installing in 90 degree plus temperatures, in direct sunlight. They worked full days and completed our deck in the promised time frame. We would highly recommend Precision Decks and Remodeling. We also received compliments on our deck from both our city building inspector and our home builder's construction manager. Our deck was added to our brand new home that we moved into last October.

Dan and his team were extremely professional,they were always on time and came in on speck. After the storm my house took major damage and Dan helped me deal with the insurance company and made everything so easy. Dan and his team replaced my gutters, roof chimney and remodeled my deck. His team was efficient and on time and made the entire process simple. I am thrilled with the work that was done and thrilled with Dan's service and will hire him back whenever the need occurs.

Service was excellent. They surveyed our deck area, recommended awning sizing, and installed the awning on the exterior wall aligned with our deck. The awning covers the entire deck and includes a motor with remote. The power cord that came with the unit was too short, so they installed the awning with a temporary extension cord and returned promptly with a longer cord. The workmanship was excellent. I would highly recommend this company. This is the second time I have used Precision Decks and Remodeling. About 2 years ago they replaced my existing deck with a deck made from low maintenance materials. The workmanship on our deck is also excellent.

I had a full view of the entire job from my window. Every piece from the bottom up was placed and built with precision. We are extreemly pleased with the results. Our deck is soild and beautiful. I found Precision through a friend and she showed me her before & after pictures and I was stunned at how impressive her new deck was. I called Dan and we set up a deck design and consultation meeting for the next day. Dan was on time, professional, and took plenty of time explaining the differnt types of products I could choose from as well as what he thought would be good for my deck needs. I was pleased that Dan was able to start construction right away (other contractors made me wait weeks or months) and there was always steady progress being made. His workers were also courteous and tidy which I appreciated. Any time I had a question Dan was either on-site or I could reach him on his cell phone. The end result is beautiful and I'm happy I used Precision Decks & Remodeling. Had I known about this business earlier - I wouldn't have waited to long to build my deck!

I initially reached out to Precision Decks company cause I was impressed with the amount of referrals and attention to detail that his other customers had posted. After meeting with us Dan he invited us to the office to chose the materials and design. My girlfriend and I felt very comfortable after meeting with him. We were pleased with the overall result of the project. The workers showed up on time every day as scheduled and finished the project within the completion promised date. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone and would hire them again for future projects.
