I chose to go with another provider to save a little money. That is not becasue Dan was too expensive, but the project was for a second home and I needed to limit costs. I was able to find another provider for a little less, but admittedly gave up a little on quality and workmanship.I have seen Dan's work on a neighbor's home and it is top notch.I will definitely consider Dan and Precision for future Projects

They were very thorough but ended up not doing any business with us. They gave me an estimate of $14,000.

. In the summer of 2011, we received an advertisement from Precision Decks and Remodeling in the mail. We called Dan Bowen and he met up with us at our shore house in West Cape May. We had an idea of the design and product that we wanted and Dan answered our questions and offered suggestions. He sent us estimates for 2 types of products. We contacted a few references that Dan provided and they were all positive. After we agreed to one estimate (TIMBERTECH). Dan was very flexible when we added a couple of items and required a new estimate. Acquiring the permits went well and the job started on schedule. The workmen were very professional, helpful and friendly. Their workmanship was excellent-very impressive. We kept in constant communication with Dan via e-mail or phone. He patiently answered our questions. The project finished on time and our Deck looked absolutely beautiful. We would definitely work with Dan Bowen and Precision Decks and Remodeling again.

We went to the Home Show in Philadelphia specifically looking for a local contractor to make our deck. We needed someone that was close enough and had an ability to take our ideas and make them into a fabulous deck. Luckily, we found Dan in the first row we went down. We really weren't impressed with anyone else at the whole show that was close enough to us. Dan set up an initial consultation right at the show. He was on time and came in with ideas and a real understanding of what we wanted. He handled everything as far as the permits and got us on schedule quickly after we agreed on the final design. Once they started, things happened quickly. Dan was really good at communicating with us and getting back to us when we had questions. The deck met all our expectations and really looks great. You can tell his team was skilled by the high quality cuts and how well everything went together. The only thing we feel could have gone a little better were some of the fine details in the design stage. They were certainly not deal breakers, but would have made it a flawless experience. All-in-all we would definitely recommend him to anyone we know and will certainly use him again if we have another project.

It went extremely well. Dan was punctual, accurate, and candid with any and all discussions. Very professsional. Started and finished on time (see above).

The roof was the best investment we ever made. Dan's framing crew was great and very quick. The roofers came in and matched the roof to the house, and then Dan and a few other workers finished up the details. The roof was built to cover an existing paver patio. Dan's drawing gave the roof more flair then we thought we could do. It wasn't just a slanted roof; it was a slanted roof with an A frame in the center to match the roof line of my house. All the wood was covered and protected and the underneath was trimmed out with all weather bead board. We hung a beautiful outdoor fan and 4 high hats as well as outdoor speakers. The roof has given us an outdoor space that an awning could have never completed. The other thing was that i was shocked how close the roof and the awnings were in price. The job and the finished product overall is great. We couldn't be happier.

The old wooden deck was badly weathered and badly constructed - with a very dangerous staircase leading down to the back yard (the deck is one story above the back yard- as we have a walk out basement). Dan scoped a design that gave us extra deck space, and included a totally new staircase on the other side of the deck. We chose a light tan solid vinyl material (durability, cool in the summer, and has a wood appearance). The demolition process was great to watch (that old monstrosity disappeared). They retained some of the framing - and did a lot of work to rebuilt and reinforce it for the new deck - and were very careful to ensure it was properly flashed and levelled. The work then began on the new staircase - which I have to say is amazing (went from a dangerous, rickety mess to the most solid and beautiful staircase that is safe and easy for our small kids to use). They then built the deck and railings - and did a lot of finishing touches (side nailed the boards, hidden/capped screws, white facia boards. The result is a beautiful deck we can actually use (and not worry about splinters). Dan also installed extended flashing underneath so that we can later engage his team to put in a ceiling underneath (which makes the patio space under the deck waterproof). We chose Precision because of their experience with construction (chose over companies who are primarily landscapers who build decks on the side). We had previously had water damage from the old deck (was installed without flashing) - and his team carefully repaired any damage to the house, and repaired the siding so we now no longer worry when it rains. The only negative was the cleanup could have been a bit better (screws & nails scattered in the yard) - but it was minor (and Dan did take action to follow up and get further cleanup done). We plan to use Precision again in the future and recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

Using Dan's company was a great experience. He was responsive, timely, and professional. The estimate came in quickly and reasonable. Once we said go, Dan handled all the permits and pushed the township to get them in a reasonable amount of time. The work began precisely when we were told it would and the crew was efficient and professional. The work site was clean, all things considered, and progressed quickly. The finished project looks great!

We initially had plans developed by a landscape architect. The company owner (contractor) met with us and added some of his own ideas, which we incorporated. We felt comfortable that by the time work was initiated, the contractor knew exactly what we wanted. He effectively communicated the plan to the construction team, and only a couple of minor adjustments needed to be made during construction. Overall, it was a smooth job and we are pleased.

I was referred to Precision Decks & Remodeling from a family member who had their basement remodeled as well. I had been saving for a long time to get this done so I had to make sure the contractor was great. I called after hearing my family member’s glowing reviews about this company. I spoke with Dan, the owner of the company, who was very flexible with my busy schedule. He even came out to my house on the weekend for a free consultation to discuss the details of my basement remodeling. He was so helpful. He was very conscious of my budget. He took measurements, helped come up with a design plan, and even got all the permits necessary. The workers were just as friendly. They were on time every day, cleaned up everything, and were very efficient. The whole basement was complete in 3 weeks! I even got a 5 year warranty. Everyone was very professional and the outcome is definitely high quality craftsmanship. I’m definitely going to use them again for my next home remodeling project.
