Captains Carpets

I was very pleased with my experience with Captain's Carpets. I used them to clean and sanitize the dryer duct in our home following an issue. Rich answered immediately, moved around his schedule and came on the weekend to get it done because it was time sensitive, did a thorough job and charged very reasonably compared to others. We had one small issue and they came back immediately to rectify it. So reliable and effective!

Every time I walk upstairs in my home, I am reminded over the poor installation and customer service I was delivered when captains carpet had done the installation for my second floor. This is for my summer house so I don’t walk there each and every day. When the installation was complete I had asked the owner to come look and was given some reason or another and he was a no-show. I really hope this kind of service doesn’t happen to anyone else, should have written this review a while ago to help others.

They were very accommodating, even if I wanted something changed, they came back and changed it for me. The price was good. They let me take samples home with me, they gave me estimates, and they gave me ideas. They were not pushy. I kept everything, and they bound everything for me. I had a big piece left and I was going to make it a runner, so he took it back and bound it for me. He was very helpful. Because of the way the house was structured, he explained what to do so that the carpet would not roll. He made sure that it was a smooth transition from carpeting to tile. The carpeting was very good. They came back the next day to fix stuff that I didn't like. I chose them because they are a local company, I don't live down there all the time, but I like to give business to local people. I had been looking for carpeting and I wanted it done right away, and he was accommodating about that as well. He was willing to do it in a week and half while everyone else wanted us to wait weeks and weeks.

From the initial order to installation the service was timely, professional at a fair price. Received estimates from two other carpet vendors and Captains Carpet provided the best price. After Hurricane Sandy I have tried to purchase supplies and services from local vendors. Captains Carpet has been in this area for many years and has always provided excellent service at a fair price.
