Description of Work: I hired Gilder on two separate occasions to mow my lawn. The first time he came out and did a competent job and charged a fair price. The second time I asked him to come out he wasn’t able to get me in for a week. After a very, very rainy week that caused the grass to grow like crazy, he told me he wouldn’t do the mowing for the agreed upon price and asked for double! He came out the day of the service and refused to do the work until I agreed to pay him what he demanded. Instead of speaking to me ahead of time to negotiate a fair price, he left me with no choice as I would have no one to do the mowing for another week. He knew that due to personal reasons we’re not able to do the work ourselves and he took complete advantage of our situation. I am amending a previous positive review due to this incredible level of unprofessionalism and improper conduct. This is nothing less than a bait-and-switch scam. Gilder no longer has my confidence and I DO NOT recommend his service.
