Our roof and gutters had to be replaced. There was quite a bit of damage to the very old roof and the gutters had pulled away from the house in several areas due to Superstorm Sandy, with the second story gutter having been torn off altogether. Luis (owner) came to provide a quote the day after we called him. He spent almost an hour with us, clearly explaining the work needed, providing brochures showing the products he uses and showing us photos of prior jobs. He explained that the roof might require several sheets of plywood replaced because of water damage and the fascia had to be replaced in several spots. We obtained 6 (yes, 6!) additional quotes. Magic was more than $1000 less than the closest estimate and the materials were superior (a competitor actually confirmed this). Work was scheduled for 4 days after we hired Magic. The roofing crew arrived on time and completed the job in one day. The gutter installers came 2 days later and installed new gutters in an afternoon. Our house looks great again! Magic Roofing & Siding provided prompt, professional work and delivered exactly what had been promised. I did some gardening along the house a couple of days after the roof and gutter replacement. I didn't encounter a single nail or piece of shingle. I did have to pick up 2 or 3 small pieces of old gutter, but can't complain about that. Magic uses a dump truck to haul away removed materials. No dumpster in the street or driveway, Definitely a plus! As expected, some plywood on the roof had to be replaced. While they could have told us that we needed a dozen sheets and we'd be none the wiser, they crew told us that only 6 sheets were required. Very honest. The final cost was exactly the quoted price. I plan to call on Magic Roofing and Siding in a few months to replace some windows. They're now my go-to home improvement company! I highly recommend this company.
