Mina is the most customer oriented person I have seen regarding home services. He always communicates and keeps you updated regarding appointments and changes in schedules, if any. He was able to make it to my appointment even though he met with a minor accident and it could have been easily rescheduled. Highly knowledgeable and honest and makes recommendations where required. He explains clearly if the observation made was minor, or major concern and how it can be rectified. He is very patient and answers any questions during inspection. I hired him to assess the work done by a contractor and he told me there were many things that were not needed to repair by the contractor but they did for getting money. Had I hired him before the work, I would have saved thousands of dollars. I highly recommend him before doing any major structural work so you can get an expert opinion and if the work /charges by contractor is required or they are doing to just get money. We get stressed and panicked when it comes to structural work, so spending few hundred dollars for an expert inspection before doing the work may save a lot of money.

I hired Kiro to do a structural assessment of my house. Mina listened to all my concerns, took time to explain everything, and told me what I could fix myself versus hiring a contractor. He also gave me a heads up about some expensive solutions that I didn’t need, but might be recommended by contractors. He offered to answer any questions I have down the road, and review any work done via photo. Overall great experience!

Engineer was very professional and very precise with inspection of the structure of the building. He provided enough information verbally to understand what was going on and what was needed, also a well written report for the issue.

Mina is amazing! We have completed 4 different types of inspections on our possible new home -- and Mina has provided us with the best experience. 1. Patience and Care: As first time buyers, we feel very new to the process. With other inspectors, I often felt like my questions were irritating the inspector. Not with Mina. Mina spent time to walk around the exterior and interior of the house with us while thoroughly explaining why the issues arose, the different methods of rectifying the issues, and the costs that come with each method of repair. 2. Honesty: When we hired Mina, we felt like he was there for our best interest. Everyone else in the home buying process - the seller, the realtor, the possible contractor - has a vested interest in the buyer making the biggest purchase of his/her life. It is so essential and helpful during this time to have an experienced structural engineer like Mina at your side. Mina was not interested in referring us to contractors that would find needless work for us to do. If you are a buyer and you feel lost about the quality of your biggest possible investment, Mina will give the honesty you need. 3. Promptness Mina has been the most prompt inspector we have gone through during this process. He worked us into his schedule and sent us the report after 1 day so that we could meet the seller's deadline. 4. Quality Service Mina has told us to contact him at any point in time if we need additional advice. If we need a contractor in the future, Mina has offered to look over the contractor's plans. If we need to okay a specific material, Mina has offered for us to reach out to him and double check if the materials are up to standards. We will most definitely continue to seek counsel from Mina if we end up purchasing this home. Give yourself the peace of mind of hiring a structural engineer like Mina!

We hired Mina to do a complete assessment of our new home. During the initial home inspection, we had noticed several stairstep cracks in the basement walls, and had recently also been noticing cracks above the door frames in the plaster. As we are certainly not experts in structural engineering, and our google research was making us fear that something could be substantially wrong with the structural integrity of our home— we hired Mina to do a walk-through from top to bottom and let us know what we were dealing with. We honestly expected to hear that it was going to require a $20,000+fix, but like other reviewers have commented, Mina spent a substantial amount of time patiently explaining to us each subsection of our home and what we were seeing. Thankfully, there was nothing that was majorly wrong and couldn’t be easily fixed. We were extremely impressed with the amount of time that Mina spent with us (greater than two hours) as he carefully and patiently walked us through what he was seeing as well as all of our follow-up questions. He also shared context about what we could expect in terms of prices from other contractors, explained what they should do to fix it, and even shared what we would want to steer away from in terms of fixes that could be quoted to us. In short, he educated us as the buyer that would be then dealing with additional contractors. Mina is a kind, well-educated professional and we would absolutely do business with him him. Thank you, Mina, for putting our minds at ease in our new home.

Mina was absolutely wonderful. He was thorough, patient, highly knowledgeable, and extremely informative. I showed him every crack and issue in my home and he explained the what and why behind it. He even saved us from having expensive, unnecessary work done in our basement by identifying the actual cause of our problem AND he helped with a mold issue. We hired this company in the context of buying a home because the home inspector found some wall and foundation cracks. Overall, the service and the insights provided by structural engineer Mina were absolutely fantastic while the price was very reasonable in comparison to other quotes we obtained. Arranging a site visit and having an initial discussion about the problem on the phone was an easy and friendly experience. On site the engineer inspected the cracks and potential other structural issues very thoroughly, explained the underlying reasons in great detail and also provided advice and cost estimates on how to fix it. Luckily it turned out that the cracks do not represent significant structural damage and can be fixed fairly easily. This was a big relief for us and gave us the peace of mind we were looking for. Moreover, the engineer gave us lots of tips on how to keep the home in good shape going forward. Overall we highly recommend this company, Mina absolutely deserves the highest rating.

Mina came out to assess some cracks in our basement wall. I can’t say enough about how thorough and professional he was. After determining that the wall didn’t require any action at this time, he inspected the rest of the basement and pointed out some areas of concern.
