The job went extremely well. John developed his own plan for installation using our existing plumbing and quickly got the water running into a drain instead of on the floor by the innovative but simple method of hooking up the faucet without the sink and running the output to the existing open drain. He then cut the nonstandard drain plumbing and used a special plumbing attachment to connect the PVC drain of the sink to the copper drain pipe. Cutting to fit was required of both the PVC and the copper, which was sweated to plumbing that went into the slab. The old laundry sink water supply was from tees sweated into the water lines for the washing machine and were smaller than the 3/4" pipe needed for faucets and fittings available from plumbing supply houses. John managed to fit them directly to the new sink, avoiding all complications. A small part was missing from the faucet kit that came with the sink, leaving a small drip behind the sink when the water was running in the sink. John obtained the part and returned to install it without additional labor charge.
Description of Work: Installation of a utility sink in the laundry room went bad when water was running on the floor because the main cutoff did not cut off completely, and the old plumbing was non-standard. I turned to Angie's List and John responded to the emergency immediately and completed the installation quickly and professionally. I have since had him back once again and have scheduled a third job with him.

The first sign of inferior work was when I was told grouting was done, yet when examined, there were many places that were missing grout which I marked and photographed for John's review. Tiles were not flush with each other. We had him reset a few of them, but there are still tiles that are not flush with the surrounding ones. A couple of months after completion, the tub started to creak and the grout cracked. John refused to come and repair the problem and after we had a couple other contractors look at the problem it was determined that the tub was incorrectly installed. The tub was moving when we got in it and that movement kept cracking the grout. I took John to Small Claims Court in October '10 and judgement was awarded in my favor. However, getting any money back from John Trombino has proven to be impossible. This man is dishonest and does inferior work. I will be uploading pictures to my website for anyone to see the finished product of John Trombino's bathroom remodel as well as a simply garage painting that he did for us. The man can't even paint!
