It went awful. See the details above.
Description of Work: In July 2012, I call Chris Mohnar of A&M Repair & Remodeling LLC, 41 Hempstead Rd, Hamilton NJ, 08610 also P.O. Box 4279, Hamilton, NJ 08610 609-638-1290 or 732-709-2406 – License number 13VH06329900. After I spoke to him, I called the New Jersey Contractors Association and there were no claims or assessments against him. The job was estimated for two weeks, but it took him 3 ½ weeks to complete about 90% of the job. He only completed 90%, because I tried to call him after he almost flooded my home (on Sunday, August 26, 2012), but he never returned my calls or came back to resolve the many issues. Therefore, I had to hire many plumbers and one contractor to correct his work. I had to hire many plumbers, because most were apprehensive about correcting another person’s work. He had absolutely no respect for the integrity of my home. He has no professional ethics. He was hostile towards me on three separate occasions. I am not sure if he was having a bad day, but a professional must maintain customer courtesy at all times. I paid Chris Mohnar $4,900. I then spent another $1,918 (for a total of $6,818) to other providers to correct his work. He worked in my home from August 6, 2012 to August 26, 2012. On, Sunday, August 26, 2012, he broke the main water valve in my home(leaving me without water). He told me to call the water company, and then he left. On Aug 26th, he installed a shower diverter. Since he broke the main water valve and left, he had no idea that he installed the diverter incorrectly. Since it was a Sunday, it took sometime to find a plumber to restore my water. After the plumber left, I became preoccupied; to my chagrin, the water had been running in my bathroom for 20 minutes before I discovered it. As a result, my bathroom was flooded an a portion of my bedroom. The diverter was installed, incorrectly. If I did not know how to turn off the main water valve, my home would have been flooded. The plumber had to turn around and come back to my house to cap the shower so that I had running water until the diverter was repaired. I called Chris in a frantic state. He never returned my call. I have not seen or spoken to him since, Sunday, August 26, 2012. He simply had no regard for me. He just did not care.
