Scott responded promptly to my call and provided an estimate on the phone. The estimate included installing a new 4" flue to replace the old 3" flue, an expansion tank, and grounding wire as required by code. His men arrived as scheduled and completed the job by late morning. Installing the new flue was not easy since the chimney opening had to be enlarged. The men did a very neat, professional job. I am totally satisfied with the installation and would definitely call them again.

This is the second big job Scott's company has done at my house-- before this, they put in plumbing for a laundry room in my basement and moved the washer and dryer into place. I got a much better value for my money than from any other plumbing company I've worked with or gotten a quote from in North Jersey. All of the plumbers that work for him are very professional and punctual. Highly recommended.

They came on time and replaced my hot water heater in under an hour. They did an excellent job and were very professional. I would highly recommend Donaldson Plumbing.

We played telephone tag a few times, but each time I got a call right back. I was quoted a price and we set up an appointment for two days later. Two young men (with two trucks) arrived exactly on time on the appointed day. They introduced themselves and got right to work. They had to cut some pipes to install needed shut off valves and replace venting that was no longer up to code. After they replaced the water heater, they were bringing the old leaking one upstairs and small bit of rusty water got on the dark colored industrial carpet at the bottom of the stairs (unknown to me). One of the young men asked if I had any carpet cleaner, and insisted on cleaning it, even though I said I would take care of it. He did a great job, too! They showed me how the new hot water heater worked, gave me the instruction booklet and asked if I had any questions. Everything was already cleaned up, so they thanked me and prepared to leave. I asked about the bill and they said it would arrive in the mail. About a week later it did, at exactly the price quoted over the phone.

Donaldson Plumbing and Heating came over, did the job and did it well and then left. Their price was very good.

They are very clean, very neat. They even vacuumed after themselves. They did everything so it was as if they weren't even there. Also, when I asked him to make sure that when they cut into the ceiling to make it square so that I could put an access panel there he measured it right to the dot. They are clean, they are thorough. They took everything with them, the old cast iron, all that stuff. The price, he charged too much for that. It might be that you get what you pay for. The only reason I wouldn't use them in the future would be that the pricing was about 50% higher than what we had agreed on. That would be the only reason.

Should up on time, took less than an hour to correct two problems with our heat and hot water.

The pipe to the hose had cracked some time ago. After having the old insulation removed from the basement pipe, you could see that the pipe was pretty corroded, so before it started leaking, I had it replaced. This was not an emergency and there were no problems with the pipe afterwards.

Plumber arrived on time, got to week right away, helped address other issues ( installed new hangers for hot and cold drain supply lines). Was finished in 1 1/2 hours after also checking on two other problems unrestricted at my request to provide estimates for future work.

It was a positive experience. Scott responded immediately when we were able to get back into the house. He worked with our contractor on timing of replacing and installing appliances and water and gas lines. His work was excellent and the area was clean and clear when the work was done.

Donaldson's Plumbing is a pleasure to deal with. They are very responsive, they have always remedied our problems, and their charges usually come in lower than we expect. Once there was an electrical problem related to our plumbing, and they came out, solved the problem, but did not bill us. It was a simple job, an obscure electrical plug was not plugged in, but still - they made the housecall and did not charge!. We would give Donaldson's an A+ if possible. They do the job right, at a fair price, in a timely fashion and with utmost professionalism. We highly recommend Donaldson's.

The experience with him was fine. He came on time, did the job and off he went. It was fast. He did what I called him in for. He wanted to put new meters in my water meter inside the house. He couldn't do that because something was broken. So my water company told me to call a plumber. There are two meters on both sides. I called him for one and he came and fixed it. Then he charged me and he left. Then when I looked at it, the other one didn't look too good. It wasn't broken but I would have wished he would have told me that the other one didn't look too good either. It would have broken anytime. If he had asked me to change it, I would have agreed to that. This way I could have got it over with. He was here and it didn't take that long. So if that broke, it would have costed me another $140. When the meter guy came from the water company, I told him about it. Then he looked at it and told me that I should have changed both. The other one didn't look like it was going to hold too long. He told me to be careful and not to touch it. I thought the same thing. If I had to watch what he did and walked over there and realized when I saw it, I would have told him to change both but I didn't. I was just hoping that he saw it and told me about it. He should have given me an option to change the other one. I would have definitely agreed to it. He was there already and it wouldn't cost me so much if he had to change the other one too. I'm not complaining. The service was good and he was very good. He could have just told me about it. He did a good job though. I have really no complaints. He did what I told him to do. I called him for something and he did it. He didn't leave a mess. He was here in less than ten minutes. I thought it was a little expensive but I don't know what plumbers charge. I haven't compared his prices. I would call him again but I will be more careful. He's the plumber and he should have given me an option. I will watch the next time what he's doing. He didn't charge me right there. He sent me a bill and he did tell me about the ten percent or fifteen percent coupon. He didn't have to do that. He told me he would deduct it if I use the coupon. He saved me money. He was responsive. He told me that he would come at a certain time and he was there. He was punctual and he didn't take long. I will use his services again in the future.

Always happy to call Scott. This is a relief, as I have gone through at least 5 plumbing contractors throughout the years who were unethical, stupid and theives. I recommend Scott as one of the few service businesses that are worth their money.

I started using him originally because I worked with his wife many years ago. He also renovated two bathrooms for me two years ago.

DONALDSON PLUMBING WAS VERY RESPONSIVE TO AN EMERGENCY SITUATION. MY WATER HEATER HAD RUPTURED AND I WAS IN A MESS. THEY RESPONDED QUICKLY AND REPLACED THE HEATER RIGHT AWAY.
