+ 1 moreBest way to describe my experience is ... FANTASTIC! Michael is extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of construction. He addressed all of my questions and was able to deliver a finished product and meet all of my demanding timelines. Within the next month I will be refinishing my basement and Michael will definitely be the contractor to do the job. I also have had the pleasure of being able to recommend Michael to friends and they too have been extremely impressed with his ability to get the job done. I have found a contractor for life. If you’re looking for an experienced, honest and dependable contractor look no further than Michael McGovern Construction!
Description of Work: Michael hung several exterior and interior doors, installed baseboard and shoe moulding throughout my entire home, along with installing casing around all doors. He also performed additional general contracting work. He will also being frame out my basement in the near future.

He was accommodating when I wanted to make last minute changes and was very fair with the pricing, especially with the changes. We were very happy with the overall result. He also completed a few small projects around my house during the time he completed the major project. We were happy with his work product.

+ 1 moreMike and his crew did a excellent job with my third floor addition! He worked closely with the architect to ensure job was executed as planned and supported all permits and inspections. He has great attention to detail. For example, he identified a structural mistake/flaw in architect's plans and ensured that it was corrected. Plenty of extras to speak of. Overall, we were very happy with the cost of the project, customer service provided, and the final results of Michael McGovern Construction's work.
Description of Work: Third Floor Addition/Remodeled Second Floor. Included the following: -demolition, including removing the old roof -framing of new third floor and roof (bedroom, bathroom, and family room) -staircase -new third floor bathroom -added on to and remodeled second floor bathroom -added onto 2 second floor bedrooms -minor remodeling of kitchen (added more cabinets) -all new gutters and siding -replaced first floor bay window -all new windows on second and third floor -insulation -extended the chimney -new roof Finished work included: -sheetrock and spackling -priming and painting -new interior doors -all new floor, door and window trim for second and third floor -installed new hardwood floors on second and third floor
