They change pick up schedules with little to no warning. They frequently break our trash cans (twice in two weeks), and their customer service is terrible. We are still using the second broken trash can they provided after they totally destroyed the first one and took weeks to replace it. I was chasing after a truck because they changed the pick up schedule on me after a surgery. I’m temporarily disabled due to a foot surgery. I was running as best I could to bring my trash out and the truck drivers looked me in the eyes and kept on going. When I tried to talk to their customer service they were also less than professional. I’m very upset that their customer service representative was defending their workers who were being cruel to a disabled person.
Description of Work: Picking up trash on a dedicated schedule. They can’t even do that without changing schedules every couple months.

This is my second time using Bagster and having them hauled away. Last year the price was $229 per bag, and I didn't have any issues other than them sending 2 guys and a pickup truck to manually empty the bag, which takes a few hours. This year I went online to schedule my pickup. I scheduled it for a wed/thur or Friday. I then got an email saying they were going to come on Thursday. Great. Thursday came and went and they didn't come, Friday came and almost went and then I called to see what was going on. The woman on the phone said the Thursday date was just an estimate and that they could come anytime and that she would call them and look into for me. Okay, but this was not my experience from the year before, when they came when they said they were going to come. On Monday I still hadn't heard anything, so I went online to check my account and it said that the bag had been picked up the previous Thursday!! WHAT??? so I called again and a nice girl couldn't really figure out what happened so she scheduled another pickup to happen wed/thur/or Friday again and wasn't going to charge me (THEY better not charge me AGAIN as I had already been charged the $300 for a pickup they never did. On wed they came, took one look at the bag, took some pictures apparently and mumbled something about it being too full/heavy and a surcharge and then just drove away!!! I then called them again to see what was going on and again they said they would have to call me back as they didn't have any information about that. The next morning they called and said the bag was too full/heavy and that I could either take some stuff out or pay a $100 surcharge. I said I would pay the surcharge as I just wanted it out of my driveway. They did come later that day and remove the bag finally. Overall it was a very frustrating experience and I would not use them again. I am not saying the bag wasn't too full or heavy but I think they should tell you about the possible surcharge before you start this whole process and I think a regular dumpster would have been cheaper and easier. It seemed like they were looking for a reason to charge a surcharge.

This was our first time using Waste Management and Dumpster bags and everything went great.We purchased the bags at our local hardware store and filled 2 bags with 4 rooms of torn out carpeting, pads and moldings and the entire flooring of a 16'x24' room. Filled both bags up but made sure that the two straps were able to come together at the top for pick up. We did the demo work on a Sunday and online I set up the pick up and by early Tues. morning a gentleman came with a truck and took away both of the bags. We have a narrow driveway so he parked the truck on the street and the crane and straps worked well. We would definitely use this service again!

A week ago, I wanted to clean out the basement and garage and strip out the old sheet rock and wood floor. Instead of renting a dumpster, my handyman recommended Waste Management's Bagster program to remove the waste. According to the information online, including a how-to video, the Bagsters can be filled with 3,300 pounds of waste and debris and a Waste Management truck, that contains a long crane, would lift up the bags from your driveway and cart them away. We purchased the giant Bagsters at True Value in Eastchester, filled them according to the directions and then went online to schedule pick-up. The first thing they asked is your zip code to see if they service your area. I put in my Fleetwood zip and was told they pick up in my area. The cost was high, $248 for the first bag and $180 for each additional bag. We had four bags, so the total cost, including tax, came to $790. However, this turned out to be extremely disappointing. As it turns out, on the day of pick up, I was told that my bags were too heavy and the two guys who showed up wanted an additional $450. I was shocked! What about the crane that was suppose to lift the bags out of the driveway? Well here is where I realize I was the victim of bait-and-switch. Waste Management said that in my community, they contract with 1-800-Got-Junk to pick up waste. And unlike Waste Management, 1-800-Got-Junk doesn't have a big truck with a crane. They have two guys who remove everything manually!!! So they needed more money because my bags were heavy. Well, yes they were heavy. We filled them to the max, although they were not 3,300 pounds. I asked for a refund and told them if I had wanted to hire 1-800-Got-Junk, I could have done that directly without spending extra money to hire Waste Management. I am just livid!!

I bought a Bagster on Amazon for a little less than $30. You can store up to 3,000 lbs, it's a 3 yard size container. I did some house cleaning and minor project (removing old attic ladder) over the July 4th weekend. I set up my pickup, which is normally 1-3 days from when you finish. Waste Management called me right away to let me know that it would last 4-5 days (ended up being 5) as there was a lot of demand that week. Probably lots of guys like me doing the same thing. Anyway, they came, picked up my Bagster with no problem. Pretty smooth service, will definitely recommend this vs the higher cost of renting a dumpster.

On many occasions trash was not picked up. When calling to inquire we were consistently told that the truck reported that our trash was not out. It always was. We were rarely credited for the missed services. On several occasions, we observed another company picking up our trash. Had a payment issue that was entirely WMs fault. They still charged me a late fee and threatened to cancel my service. Two different people at WM told me what caused the problem, again something they did. It took months and many phone calls to resolve. I recently moved and they told me they could not transfer my service. They could only cancel and open a new account. Even though I have already paid for the next 6 weeks. When I asked for a refund they told me it would take six to 8 weeks to receive but couldn't explain why. When I asked to speak to the billing department I was flat out told NO, you can't. We handle everything at customer service.

It took over an hour with an agent to set up the account either because the system was slow or the agent was unfamiliar with it. She repeatedly asked for my address, at times within a few seconds. When I finally asked if I could just pay online, she said yes but failed to give me the ezpay number required. It took two more phone calls to finally pay the bill up front. I also set up a bulk pick up. Long story short, they did not show up nor would they assist me with the problem. I was left with a pile of garbage left in front of my house. Although the agents were pleasant. I think that it is true that some companies are too large to service customers properly. Stick with the local companies; they know what customer service is and reliability are.

The garbage is ALWAYS picked up on a timely basis, early in the morning. My encounters with the collectors and customer service agents have always been pleasant, they come to the back of the house and collect the tash so I dont event have to take it curbside.

It was great. I purchased the portable dumpster from Home Depot and took it home, filled it and called them and they came and picked it up.
Description of Work: I used their bagster service. I used them to haul away a number of items that I needed to get rid of as the result of a pre move cleanout.
