My Guy Painting

James came in promising that he would do a great job. Well my 78 year old aunt paid him cash for the job and he didn’t give her a receipt even after requesting it many times. He keeps telling me that he will email it. He didn’t complete the job. I do not know where to start. The kitchen, he only painted 1 out of the four walls. He didn’t paint the walls to the trim in any of of the rooms The old paint shows through in many areas. He didn’t move a few pieces of furniture and so when we moved them there was an outline of the china cabinet. The stairway he didn’t go up to the ceiling. He was supposed to fix a piece of molding and didn’t. See photos for example. It has been 2 months since he painted the place. I have called many times asking him to come and complete the job. I gave him plenty of time to correct it and finish the job. A couple days shop he even told me he was there but had the wrong code to get in so I gave it to him again and he said he was at the store 5 minutes away. I gave him my realtors number if he needed help. He never went back nor did he contact her for assistance opening the lock. Now I have to hire someone else to complete the job. I also believe he charged me for 4 cams of paint but only brought 3 into the house. On the thing I had heard him tell his worker that was with him to leave the other can. I never saw them bring another can on the ring.

Jim was communicative and helpful; he ensured we knew the right paint to buy for painting our fireplace and called around to find a location that had it. He was able to come by 48 hours after we'd initially done the search, and could have come sooner. We would recommend Jim's services!

Never finished the job. Started in May, and it took until August to have it roughly 90% completed. Vendor was paid. Terrible communication, and very u reliable. We gave plenty of time to paint an exterior building. Vendor just went silent and never finished the last days worth of work. Unprofessional.

Jim had to make a few trips but he got it all completed to my satisfaction.

Mr Jim and his crew painted my house in three days. The work was flawless and they completed the job two days early. I would highly recommend them.

How’d it go? Terrible! I paid over $4,000. for a 950 sq. ft. Condo to be painted before moving into a retirement community. Jimmy is a “dude” and I really liked him. He comes across as very laid back, sincere and trustworthy. I needed the job to be done ASAP as other projects were dependent on this being done. The first two days went well however Jimmy had another fellow doing the painting. By day 3, Jimmy told me that he had a very large, well-paying job and that was the beginning of the end. Jimmy and his assistant, Himan, came spottily, at best, did fast, sloppy work and eventually, simply never showed up again. I sent MANY text messages and Jimmy would respond saying that he would come at a certain day and then never show up. This went on for a couple of months. I pleaded, I threatened but as of today, he is fully paid and never finished the job. The painting was sloppy and Himan dropped drips of paint on my newly refinished hardwood floors. I’m 65 with very bad knees and ended up painting my own kitchen which was arduous along the tops of the kitchen cabinets. My ceilings are painted only in spots and although he told me he would fix small spots on my walls, they painted right over them leaving a sloppy finish. As I stated, Jimmy seems very nice but leaves a mess and never finishes the work. He was, however, paid in full… that was my fault because I trusted him. I have left STERLING reviews for the other contractors I have hired through ANGI but sadly I cannot do that for MY GUY PAINTING.

The quality of work was perfect, it was a pleasant experience. They were clean, prompt, didn't leave a mess. patient, and on time. I would definitely use the service again and I recommend them. It was a great experience.
