Consider It Done, Inc. has been a New Jersey based junk removal and cleanout service business for over 30 years. The company is owner operated by Jennifer Padula who has been the only owner since its inception in 1988. Jennifer has over 15 years experience working hands on in the field and is now full time in the office. We do not use a "call center" or answering service. Instead we have five full and part time employees in the office handling estimates, scheduling and maintenance. All office staff has training out in the field, so you will always speak with someone who has first hand knowledge and experience. We are the largest personalized full service junk removal company in New Jersey with a fleet of 10 vehicles, providing the dedicated service of loading and carting. We are not a "jack of all trades". We screen all applicants who wish to work here to ensure that they are trustworthy, courteous and respectful. We allow only trained and experienced employees to supervise each job. All supervisors have a minimum of six months of experience and our Field Supervisor has been with us for many years. We recycle and donate over 50% of the material and items that we haul away. We are able to keep costs down by helping you estimate how much your job may cost over the phone before coming to your home or business.
This company is so very well organized. I called and received an estimate. We scheduled a day. I received a call 2 days before with a four hour window. I also received a phone call during that four hour window with a more specific time. The workers arrived on time and did a great job. They were very professional and were knowledgeable about how to take apart the furniture. I would definitely use them again and recommend this company.

I had ConsiderItDone provide services on two separate occasions--January and March. This company lives up to its name and Jennifer Padula and her team are awesome! Having sold my home, there was 15 years of stuff that had to be carted away to prepare for moving. This included furniture, entertainment centers, stepper machine, mattresses and box springs, as well as old paint and electronics. While they had to saw the arms off the stepper machine to get it out of the basement, everything was moved efficiently and carefully. They are amazing! So when I got to the point of hiring movers, there was still more stuff to get rid of so I called them back again. Even though it was short notice, Jennifer was able to schedule me immediately and they showed up on time and took the piles of stuff away.

It's always nice calling a company and having a live person answer the phone. I discussed what was required and was told someone would call back soon with an estimate. I got a call back - amazing in and of itself, got the estimate and got the date and time I wanted - next day in the morning. I got a call confirming the time of arrival. Imagine a company that can communicate well with their customers - a definite plus IMO. The guys were on time, went over what I needed done, and worked diligently to get the treadmill out - no small feat because of it's size. They were professional, did everything I asked for and were done quickly. I have used other companies in the past, and I feel that Consider It Done was very reasonable and amenable to what I wanted done. I recommend them highly and will definitely use them again.

All things went great. From the initial phone call where Dawn was very courteous and professional. I described the items to be removed and 30 minutes later Jennifer, the owner, called back with a price which was reasonable. After the job was scheduled, I added and subtracted some items. In each case, Dawn and Jennifer provided me with a timely price update. On the day of the job, Ivan and his team (Albert, Jim, Jack and Bobbie) arrived on time to remove items described some of which were very heavy. The whole team worked very hard and were very courteous and professional throughout the whole time. I would use this company again as well as recommend them highly

I called Consider It Done Inc. after searching for a handyman service on Angies list because I just did not know who to hire for the installation of a pool ladder in an above ground pool. All the pool services I called wanted to charge $180 and up for a pool opening which I did not need. (We opened the pool ourselves.) My husband has injuries and I am not strong enough to lift the ladder. I spoke with Dawn who said it was not something they usually did but she would speak to the company owner Jennifer and get back to me with a price. She called back within a few hours and to my surprise (I should say shock in this day and age!) Jennifer said they would come by when they were in the neighborhood and do it for free. I believe that says it all about what a great company this is. Bruce and Bob came promptly when they said they would and were very professional even though it was just a small job. I did pay them $50. because I don't think anyone should work for free, but how amazing is it to find someone in business who just wants to help. Consider it done email: "Hi Mike, The estimated cost for removal of the soccer goal, 2 outdoor chairs and "few branches" is $115. If you want to schedule, please call the office at 732-842-4122. We don't handle any scheduling via the internet. Thank you very much. Jennifer Padula, President." Nothing changed on what needed to be removed.

The scheduling request was made at the end of June, at which time we did inform [Member Name Removed] of our pricing changes, however, we requested a photograph or a better description of what was described by [Member Name Removed] as "a few branches" so that I could make a determination as to whether or not we could honor the original estimate, which again, was an estimate, not a quote. [Member Name Removed] chose not to send a picture to us or quantify "a few branches". I am still willing to honor the original estimate if [Member Name Removed] can give lengths and an exact count of the "few branches" or send a picture.

Consider It Done was due to arrive at my house at 7:00 a.m. and at 6:58 my doorbell rang and Jeff arrived. He immediately went to the attic and took pictures of what was to be removed. He worked alone for about 45 minutes (two others were to arrive after finishing another job close by) and removed quite a bit by himself. After his 2 co-workers arrived the job was completed in no time. The entire job was completely finished at 8:45; can you believe that? My attic is the length of my house and there was much more and quot;stuffand quot; than we originally thought so the estimate originally given was increased and understandably so. I cannot say enough about this company, they are professional from start to finish; punctual and pleasant. My attic floor is the ceiling below and cannot really support a person walking on it; Jeff took great care to stay on the beams; he was the coordinator of the three men and handed down the things in the attic as well as helping put things in the truck. I would highly recommend Consider It Done.

They gave an estimate over the phone based on the dimensions I gave and the actual price was the amount of the estimate. They gave me a day very soon after I called and then called the day before to confirm. They arrived when they said they would and were very professional and swept up. It's a very professional operation, not just a few people with a truck. They also came with a larger truck just in case, which was not needed. The price was only a bit higher than what it would have cost me to load up a dumpster myself.

It went very well. 5 guys with 2 dump trucks came in at the scheduled time and went to work immediately. They worked fast and were finished in about 1-1/2 hours. Had a lot of stuff to get rid of since I was moving, I was a hoarder and kept a lot of old junk. I just pointed at what was to go and they hauled it out. All of the guys were friendly and very professional. Would definitely use them again in the future.

This is a very good company, and I would use them again. Anthony picked up the phone when I called. I described my 3 items - a couch and two TVs. He called me back shortly with an estimate. I called a few days later to make the appointment, and again, Anthony picked up the phone. On the appointed day, they called when they were on their way - the two gentlemen who showed up were professional and careful not scratch my floor. The price was the price quoted. I highly recommend.

Description of Work: Cleaning out of my dad's basement, porch, and books from library. These four guys were terrific. They worked hard, were very efficient and very thorough. There was a lot of stuff, but they were done with 3 hours. Due to underestimating how much stuff there was, the couldn't do it on the original day which was a Friday, but arranged to come back very early on Sunday, if that would work for us. It did, and they showed up at 8:00 am. It was great that they worked with us to find a convenient time to get the job done. Would definitely use them again and recommend their services.

I've hired John a few times - most recently to install a screen door, and previously to install baseboard moulding. The word 'handyman' doesn't adequately describe John - he is more like a craftsman. The quality of his work is excellent. He's very professional, he shows up on time, there is never a lack of communication, and he delivers what he promises. I would highly recommend John, and would not hesitate to hire him again.

A crew of three people arrived including the supervisor. The took pictures of all the debris that needed to be removed and sent them to their office. They quoted me a price within a few minutes, and immediately began working to clean out the areas I identified. A professional, courteous crew. Did a great job and finished the project in less than two hours. I recommend CID and would use them again.

When I called to schedule an appointment we discussed what was to be hauled and gave me a estimate on the phone. They charge by what they call a pick up truck load. Basically, what can fit in a standard pick up truck, very easy to imagine. They arrived on time and after doing the paperwork, which included taking pictures of everything they were to haul, they proceeded to collect everything on their truck. they not only haul the stuff but cleaned up afterwards, by sweeping the back porch and taking the sweepings. They were done in about one hour. packed up and left with my check. The price was the estimate I got from them. Very pleasant company to work with

On their website it says that the business was started because a woman was doing cleaning while going to college and people asked her if she knew of anybody that could help haul things away or get rid of stuff. She decided that she could try to start a business like that which is essentially hauling and getting rid of things. It also said on the website that she managed to put herself through Rutgers Law School, so I'm pretty impressed. It shows that she was thinking and found a need that we all have which was a good idea. They're excellent.

I called Consider It Done because I had received a post card mailing that showed they provided the services I needed and they stated that they were cheaper and more professional than your average junk removal company (i.e. 1800 GotJunk). I left a message at there office as no one answered during the business hours they prescribed on the mailing. Someone eventually called me back later in the afternoon to discuss my needs. Their web site goes into great detail as to how to get an estimate based on the size of your removal needs. Based on the dimensions of my pile of rubbish I assumed the pricing would be $330. When I described what my guesstimate of the pile of building materials were the company stated that the estimate would be $350 plus an additional $65 for a TV that I also wanted to dispose of. I was told that the normal rate for the TV was $75 but they would provide a discount to that amount. Consider it Done had asked that to get an better estimate I give them the exact measurments of the pile of building materials I wanted discarded. I thought this was an odd request as the pile is not perfectly aligned and laying flat, after all it is building materials such as paneling, 2x4’s of varying shapes and sizes and some sheet rock. I proceeded to take a rough estimate of the pile and called Consider it Done back with those new measurements. The price? $500 plus the $65 for the TV. This is way more than they stated during the first call and more than what their estimated pricing listed on their web site stated. They said they could send someone out on the day of scheduled pick up and the price “might change” but based on the dimensions I had given it wouldn’t change by much. I thought this was a rip-off so I called 1800GOTJUNK. They sent someone to my house that day, and wanted $238 for the same material, the TV, and garbage can full of broken up cement and a bunch of fire wood. I didn’t even ask Consider it Done to take the firewood or cement, but 1800GOTJUNK saw that material at my house and offered to take it as well. What a waste of time dealing with this company. How is someone to get a perfect dimension to a bunch of garbage? Why couldn’t they just simply send someone to look at it instead of on a day you schedule to have the material taken away? Pressure tactics maybe? I don’t know, but I would not recommend using them at all.

(deleted member name)'s comments are not all accurate and border on unfair. Detailed notes are kept in our database when we speak with each customer and following is a recap: It was explained to (deleted member name) during his initial call to my office that the cost for the removal of the debris would be determined by the overall volume (how much space is occupied by the debris) and that rough dimensions of the pile would be helpful in order to give an estimate. (deleted member name) was never instructed to provide “perfect dimensions”. (deleted member name) acknowledges in his comments that the original dimensions provided by him were a "guesstimate" and that he "assumed" a certain price. The next day, called me with what she believed to be “actual" pile dimensions of 8' x 8' x 4'. Those dimensions convert to 9.5 cubic yards of material (8x8x4=256 cu.ft. divided by 27=9.5 cu. yds.) and (deleted member name) was given a price of $423, (not $500) plus $75, less a $10 discount, for the removal of a very large 52" television. Televisions are hazardous and separate pricing must be applied. This was also explained to (deleted member name). The $423 price given to (deleted member name) accurately reflects the pricing on our web page, again, based on the dimensions provided by (deleted member name).(deleted member name) requested to schedule an appointment and she was told that if her dimensions were not accurate and she had less volume when we got there, we would adjust the price down for her, and vice versa if her volume was more than 9.5 cu. yds. It was also explained that there was no obligation to hire us if she did not care for the price given at that time, which, in effect would have amounted to a free on site estimate at our expense. Prior to their scheduled appointment with Consider It Done, Inc., the (deleted member name) called our office to cancel and we never went to their home. The (deleted member name) dissatisfaction stems only from the price given them over the phone, which was based on the dimensions provided by them. Regarding (deleted member name) comment that he called our office during the hours noted on our business card (7am-5pm), and 'left a message'... Just to clarify, (deleted member name) call was not taken by an answering machine. No calls are ever answered by a machine during our office hours. His call was answered by my assistant, Anthony. Anthony entered (deleted member name) information into our database and forwarded the call to me, as is our protocol. I returned the call within the hour. Quite honestly, given that a simple estimate was given over the phone, based on the information provided by the (deleted member name), the appointment was not kept, no work was done, no time was invested, other than 2 conversations over the phone regarding pricing and scheduling, and a third call by the (deleted member name) to cancel the appointment, I am not understanding what has the (deleted member name) so upset. We offer telephone estimates first, so as to provide each potential customer with an explanation of how our service works and what the costs could potentially be before wasting both their time and ours by simply dispatching a truck to their home, without any knowledge on either part of what to expect. Had the (deleted member name) kept the appointment with our company, they were still under no obligation whatsover to contract with us if they did not care for the price offered once we arrived. I can't speak for what any other company may charge or how much debris was actually removed from the (deleted member name) property since they called another service out to do the job, which is absolutely their right to do. I take offense to the insinuation that “pressure tactics” may have been applied when we arrived. There is no basis whatsoever for a statement like that to be made. The (deleted member name) suffered no loss whatsoever, were not mislead, were given clear pricing and explanation, were treated with courtesy and respect, had all of their questions answered and were under no obligations at any time. In response to (deleted member name) question as to why we “couldn’t just simply send someone to look at it?”… The answer is…Because it’s not that ‘simple’. Sending someone to do what can be done over the phone is very costly. There is a minimum of $85 in expenses to “simply send someone” (payroll, fuel, maintenance, paperwork, etc.). Ironically, the purpose of giving a phone estimate was served by the (deleted member name) not hiring us. They simply didn’t like the price given them over the phone and decided not to waste our time or theirs by hiring us, and simply called another company. Jennifer Padula President

I called in advance and sent photos of the junk to get an idea of the scope of work, removal of almost all the items in an attic, garage and basement. I set up an appointment and I was called in advance to confirm the day and time of work. A five person crew showed up on time with trucks and the hand tools necessary to disassemble items. I reviewed the items to be removed with the foreman and he estimated the volume of junk and what the price would be. The estimate was accurate as they filled four truck loads, I estimated about 75 cubic yards. They segregated the junk by whether it was recyclable, donatable or trash. After the junk was removed, they swept the floors of the areas.
Description of Work: i scheduled in advance to clean out completely the attic, garage and basement of a home built in 1951. It required the removal of a refrigerator, sofa, two loveseats, outdoor furniture, lawnmower, wood scarps, paints and solvents, two larte CRT TV's, etc.

I called Friday to try and get an estimate of the job, so I so asked to texted pictures of the damage. Unfortunately, the pictures were hard to make out how much needed to be collected and Anthony told me so Saturday morning. We tried to get an idea of load size, but he wasn't sure of the cost. I was told that Monday the owner would be in to give an estimate. Monday, I called to speak with Jennifer who said that if the collection was about 1 1/2 pick-up trucks worth of trash it would be about $350. Just to be safe, I asked how much it would be for 2 pick-up trucks worth, and she said $450. I felt confident about my guess of the 1 1/2 so I scheduled the appointment for Thursday. They would call Wednesday with an actual time. Anthony called Wednesday to confirm about the collection Thursday but didn't have the time as of yet because the schedules weren't ready. Soon after that call, he called back to say that they could come out that day. So we agreed. The supervisor surveyed the damage, as I was told they would before any work was done, to comfirm the pricing. To our surprise, we were quoted the $450 price (plus tax). Alittle confused but agreed to the price, the men got started. 45 to 55 mins later they were done and it wasn't even 1 pick-up trucks worth of stuff. Maybe just barely. Unbelievable! And they left a tire (which I don't know where it came from) because it was recyclible and that was $25 extra. First off, we were overcharged without a doubt. Second, I could have sworn that they advertised to take EVERYTHING and the things that are recyclible would be recycled on the company's part of being enviromentally friendly. Not for an additional $25. You'll have to take this review as you want. While the customer service, labor and such was good, and I did appreciate the callbacks eventhough nothing could get confirmed with some; The pricing was so off it was shameful. But we agreed in desperation so who really is to blame?

The woman on the phone was very accommodating and was able to schedule the work at a convenient time for me. I listed every item I needed removed and she noted each one. The date and time were confirmed one day prior in the late afternoon. Two men arrived at the scheduled time early the next morning. We went over what needed carting out. These guys were respectful of my belongings, house (and cat) and I appreciated that very much. They were extremely careful not to damage my walls, etc. during the actual moving process. I thought the entire experience was terrific and I would definitely use them again should the need arise.
Description of Work: Consider it Done removed a very large wooden coffee table, large treadmill, small treadmill and several computers, a TV, printer and CRT monitor from my basement that had sustained water damage.

I am not exactly sure how many loads they actually hauled away. He came in the house with a trash can, he would then fill the trash can and empty in a truck outside. The only problem I had with the company is that it was not clear what was considered a load. Therefore the pricing structure was a little confusing. He did do a good job and he was very accommodating and helpful.
