Carters heating and cooling was at my mothers house to do maintenance. Since then absolutely no one has been in her attic. Today found the attic stairs broken. She called and a person called back and said that they were the owner and that it’s not their problem because she can’t prove it. SHES 80 YRS OLD. HOW THE H*** CAN SHE PROVE IT! Just a warning for those of you I. The area that have elderly parents or any connection with Carters heating and cooling….. BEWARE!!!!!

Very disheartened by this company.I have used them for almost a decade now. I have referred people to them including both of my parents. I have always found their technicians very good but the office staff difficult to deal with. I am constantly told "I am tough to get to (distance-wise)." Honestly I have always dealt with them because the technicians are always good and honest. By the way, the technicians have agreed with me in the past. They were a no-show on a 6/18 appointment. When I called I was told there was an emergency and they could not come. I asked if they were planning on calling me and was not given an apology. I was told it was out of their control. I would have accepted that if they would have made an effort to return later than day or even within a week. The person then told me she did not know when they could come back because I "live so far away." She told me she would call me back with a new date soon. I got a call at 5:30pm and was told July 14th. When I protested the time I was basically told that if I did not like it I could call a new company. I was shocked. More shocking is my husband called the owner and has yet to hear back. I have referred my parents (both sets) to them and numerous others. They have wasted a couple months of my time, given me no explanations or apologies for their rude behavior. We have done business with them for several years and I am shocked by how rude their office is. The person I spoke to that day was Brianna. Then I contact the BBB after not being contacted by the owner of the company. I was not looking for anything from him at this point (already called a new company to use) but wanted to let him know what had occurred with his staff. Their response to the BBB was a lie and basically a plea to keep their rating which is what their concern is, not talking to a long time customer. Still waiting for that call 9 days later!
Description of Work: Stood up on scheduled maintenance call. No show and no call. Then pushed back a month. Tried to contact owner to discuss and received no call back. Contacted BBB and they LIED on response. Poor customer service.

Description of Work: we have 19 yrs. experience with Carter's Heating and Cooling. They are always on time and do thorough checking of our systems, summer and fall. In an emergency such as no heat they respond promptly. They are an excellent contractor. We have annual service and all parts are included in the contract.

It was installed in about three and a half hours. Very efficiently but nicked a corner of my wall with the heavy equipment. They said they would fix the wall when they come to install my Honeywell full house humidifier in about two weeks and I trust they will fulfill their obligation.

All went very well. Very very professional. Plus, Jason and Justin the installers were very friendly and professional. Andrew was very professional. Plus he, unlike most they were upfront about permits with the town. Most contractors don't want to deal with permits and be warned that can be trouble. Thank you guys.

Carters had great prices, friendly reliable staff and installed my air conditioning unit with no problems or mess at all. I would highly recommend them.
