Description of Work: Pros: I used Arnold for a rental property I own in NJ. I wanted him to renovate 2 bathrooms. Basically just replacing the old tub, toilet, vanities, tile etc. I felt just from talking with him, he knew what he was talking about, so I hired him. Arnold was punctual, & his pricing was fair for the work I asked him to do. He gave me some good advice, which I followed. I only used Arnold to install the tile on both the walls & the floors as my brother wanted to do the rest of the work. As a side note I bought all the tile for 2 bathrooms walls and floors and delivered it to the condo. He did have to buy the wall boards as he didn't like the ones I had already purchased. He did a good job. Cons: I didn't like the fact he asked me for 50% of the money on the day he started. I had already bought all the tile, so he wasn't going to be out any money. except for the wall boards. I told him I would pay him for the boards, and his day of work. I thought that was fair, as I didn't know Arnold. I have always been told never to pay someone before they start, especially if they haven't had to buy anyting for the job. Home depot has a policy that they will refund you for all the broken tiles. I actually sent him an email telling him this. I had bought extra boxes because I could see there were broken tiles in a couple of the boxes. Makes sense given the fact it is TILE. What tile person doesn't know tile can be returned for credit. However when I asked him about the broken boxes of tile, he told me he threw them in the dumpster, which I felt was odd and really not his place Bottom Line- YES I think Arnold is a good worker, and I would recommend him. however I think he needs some guidelines.

Description of Work: Tiled bathroom, installed kitchen appliances, installed bathroom fixtures, installed floor warming system in bathroom, installed vanity in bathroom, installed chair rail in bathroom, demo'd kitchen floor to install new tile, installed lighting fixture in bathroom, cut new trim in kitchen, installed new interior door, etc... to much to name.
