TruGreen Chemlawn

I have a tree and shrub contract that says to call if I have issues and they will send someone right out. I have spent the last three weeks calling their customer service reporting an issue with spotted laternflies (an invasive bug that is in our area and is quickly spreading). Each time the person says they will send someone out to address the issue only to have someone show up and not treat my two large maple trees (my only shade in the afternoon). On the third week and third visit I find a note on my door that says we do not treat for laternflies. Note: they treated my trees last year. I called the office yesterday and was told that the treatments they use will kill the pests but won’t keep them from coming back. It worked last year. I told them this and asked them to review my records from last year. They refused to look. Today I spoke with the office manager who was very abrupt and said similar things. I referred him to the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture website that lists four different chemicals to treat for them.. He would have nothing to do with it (likely because it would be expensive to treat). As a result, I canceled both my lawn and tree contracts and will go to one of the other NUMEROUS companies in my area who are currently treating this pest.

I am pretty satisfied with them. I pay per application. It has been a good experience with them. I will continue to use them in the future.

When they first came out on, I was picking up leaves and they came and sprayed over the top of the leaves. I asked them why and they assured me the fertilizer would make it down to the grass and I asked them to leave. I tried them again this year, and they came out and told me I needed to sharpen the blades on my mower. I have a nice tractor and my lawn looks good, so that was a strange thing to say. They told me they would come back later and they did not show up for the appointment. When they did come to spray they were done too quickly and the weeds never died, I don’t believe they did anything.

They are on schedule, they come out when they say they are going to, and they are staying on top of our yard. I pay about $60 a month. It's fine. We definitely will use them again in the future.

No call-No show twice. When I finally had enough and canceled the service they showed up. Too bad because my lawn looked good just after one treatment. I can not deal with inconsistencies and no shows. I did not pay for any services because they performed the work after I already cancelled my service. I ended up going with Scotts.

Tru-Green was running a promotion and I prepaid for 4 treatments for a total of $195. The day of the treatment, Vitale came to my door to let me know he was there to spray the lawn. He did a thorough job of spraying the front and back yards. He was very friendly and professional.

I signed up for TruGreen services on May 11th. After nearly five days of not hearing from them, I received a message informing me I was setup for an appointment on the 20th of May. I contacted TruGreen on the 22nd of May because I did not receive any information on the status of my lawn. Well the technician never showed up. I was informed that someone was coming out to service the lawn on the 24th. I get home on the 24th and there was nothing. On the 25th I contacted TruGreen again and was informed that my appointment was changed, without any notification, to the 30th. I had enough of the run around and decided to cancel my service right then and there. The individual on the phone couldn?t of been any happier to canceling my account. I guess that explains no one showed up, they didn?t want to service the account to begin with. When I returned home on the 30th, I noticed that TruGreen came out to service the lawn. So no one shows up until I cancel.

They are really fantastic. I tried TruGreen and then decided to see if I can get something a little cheaper by going to a local lawn service guy, but I went right back to TruGreen. They seem to really understand the whole system whereas the local landscaper sent a kid over who did as bad of a job as I could do. Now I let these guys handle it because they understand what it's like to grow grass and it shows. It definitely makes a difference. I also won't have to deal with handling the lawn fertilizers any more. There's a couple of things that they do that I find to be really cool. When they finish the service they leave a note on the door telling you exactly what they did. They check the lawn out and let you know if you need to water more or cut more often or cut it higher. They actually kind of walk you through the whole process. If they see you scalping the lawn or something that's not right they will let you know by telling you if you want it to look better it's up to you to do whatever they might recommend. I've used them for several years and this year they added a recorded message that calls you two days ahead of time. It let's you know that they are coming and to put the pets away if you have any. The phone call is good because you may have to mow the lawn and you may need to do it before they get here otherwise it would be too high. The fact that they call ahead I think is great. Being able to get a heads-up I think is a good thing. I do think that their prices are a little high and may eventually want to spend less. Their sales people are a little pushy. You never know exactly what time of the day they are going to show. You do know what day it is as opposed to beforehand when you didn't know, so the fact that they alert you when they're coming is a good thing.

We've been using them for 2-3 years now. I think they do an okay job, we get weeds every now and then but that's normal. It's been a lot more better than before.

They come out on a monthly basis. They do just fine.

They are very good and very professional. They come out several times a year. They are very reliable. They do alternating services. One is around $200 and the other is $97 so they are not cheap. We have them on a program. It is a few thousand dollars over the course of a season. The lawn was looking really bad before we got them and it now looks really good. They are expensive. They are very good.

This was my second year with TRUGREEN. I replaced my previous lawn care service provider with them after negotiating a better price. In two years my lawn has never looked worse. Thier applications seem to be ineffective against weeds and crabgrass. In the end the savings turned out not be worth it as I now have to have my lawn reseeded.

I have a service contract with them and they do a good job. They were a bit expensive, but did a quick job. They also leave a note about the condition of the fence and give recommendations, too. I like their services and will use the same in future.

I've been relatively pleased with this company. I have been taking advantage of their fertilizing services for many years at different places I have lived. They come, do what they are supposed to, and leave. They really do not bother me and that's the kind of company I prefer to deal with so I have only good things to say about them.

We have a yearly contract with chemlawn. They come out as scheduled and make the necessary applications to our lawn. We have never had a problem with our children or pets having a reaction to the chemicals that were applied to the lawn.

I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THEM. THEY ARE WELL KNOWN IN OUR COMMUNITY AND THEY ALWAYS DO AN EXCELLENT JOB. WE WILL CONTINUE TO USE THEIR SERVICES FOR SOME TIME TO COME.

THEY HAD A LOT OF PROBLEMS WITH BEING ON TIME. THEIR PRICES ARE ABOVE AVERAGE. I HAVE HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY. BUT I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS IF THEY KNEW HOW EXPENSIVE THEY WERE ALREADY.

WE RESPONDED TO A CARD THAT WAS LEFT ON OUR DOOR. WE HAVE ONLY USED THEM FOR ONE SEASON. THE LAWN SEEMED TO RESPOND, SO FAR. THEY EXPLAIN THEIR COURSE OF TREATMENT BEFORE APPLYING IT. WE ARE CURIOUS TO SEE THE LAWN NEXT YEAR.

THEY DID NOT MAKE ME HAPPY. THEY PROMISED A LOT AND DIDN'T PERFORM. THE CHEMICAL THAT THEY USED DID NOT KILL THE WEEDS OR MAKE THE GRASS GREENER. I WILL NOT USE THEM AGAIN AND DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM.
