Nicky from Berco started off by being on time. He is both friendly and professional. He is very efficient and my (not new) washing machine runs great! We are completely satisfied with Berco Appliance Svc. and would not hesitate to recommend or hire again.

I appreciate that he checks his messages and calls back to confirm appointments. He knows his stuff with appliances and quickly gets to the bottom of what's wrong with the appliances he repaired for me. I really appreciate how thorough he is on the job.

He removed pieces of glass in the pump, cleaned the filter and advised us to make sure water is hot before running the dishwasher. Took a total of 2 hours because pump was difficult to remove ( son had already tried) and he made sure it was working before he left. Very conscientious, polite and all around nice guy.

Nicky Black is exactly what you want in a repairman.He is conscientious,methodical and highly competent, not looking to turn a small repair into a major undertaking, but most of all down to Earth and honest.He diagnoses the problem quickly, explains your options and then gets the job done at a reasonable price.I have used him before and will use him again I would not hesitate to recommend him .

Aaa++++++!!! Berco appliance is the best repair service out there especially if have an older appliance. Nicky assesses the issue quickly and let's you know if its worth the cost. At his rates it usually is. He is very informative and tells you what to do If you are handy to fix it yourself. He's not a fan of newer appliances since he says they break down way too much for how much you spend. He's worked on my 15 year old washer and dishwasher. And they're still running great! I recommend Berco appliance very highly.

The provider called me back twice in one day since I was not home the first time. I have an old washing machine and am not sure if it is worth having to pay someone to come to my house and figure out what is wrong. The owner called me back and spent over 10 minutes talking with me about the problem. He came up with possible causes of the problem. He even gave me a couple of things I can do myself to see if I can figure out the problem and possibly fix it myself. My machine is almost 20 year's old so I am not sure if I will use Berco or just get a new machine. I am impressed with the time the provider spent with me letting me know what would be worth fixing and what would not be worth fixing. He even gave me ideas that may allow me to fix the problem myself. His price to come to my house and diagnose the problem seemed very reasonable. He seemed very honest since one idea he gave me may allow me to fix the problem myself. I will update this if I use him.

The proprietor, Nicky Black, is fantastic: he called back within two hours of my initial call, scheduled me as soon as he could (and was apologetic that he couldn't make it on the same day even though I called in the middle of the afternoon), showed up when he said that he would (and called before he came to let me know that he was on his way), identified the problem almost immediately and fixed it and then was very helpful in identifying other opportunities to improve my appliance's performance. It was a great experience and I would definitely use Berco/Nicky again. It's the best experience that I've ever had with a repair person - and my second positive experience with this provider - and I would recommend him highly. If you need large appliance repair and live in Bergen County, use Berco/Nicky Black - you'll be glad that you did....

I will use this provider in the future. When I made the decision to purchase a new dryer over the weekend, I no longer needed his service ... but I was so impressed with how professionally he handled our interaction that I will certainly call him in the future.

I indicated N/A above for the price I paid because I don't know if it's high, low or average. I didn't competitively price the service because I used it at the recommendation of my mother-in-law who had been a satisfied customer on several occasions. I, too, was very pleased. The owner/technician was polite on the phone when the appointment was scheduled. He arrived at my home punctually, and did the job very well (the work was and still remains A-OK). Furthermore, he left no mess or dirt for me to clean up which is important to me. I would certainly use Berko Appliance Service in the future whenever I need to repair a major appliance, and I would unconditionally recommend the service.

The door latch was repaired successfully and they gave me a 90 day guarantee on their work, which I appreciated.

We called them approximately in the morning and the repair crew was at our place within 3 hrs. They were courteous and called us ahead of the time. The work was completed in 45 minutes time and they cleaned up everything

The repairman from Berco's did an excellent job and we felt the charge was a reasonable one for a service call of this type. He was very professional and we shall use this company again in the future for any large appliance repairs needed. He came when he said he would come and he did not charge us for unnecessary parts or repairs for which we were most appreciative. We feel honesty in repairs like this is extremely important and we thank this company for it responsiveness, honesty and workmanship.

This gentleman responded to my inquiry on the first day. He gave me the name of a supply wharehouse to contact re: availability of the part. He also gave me an estiimate of the probable total cost. He came in within that price.

The work went very well, and the dishwasher is still working and holding up. The serviceman was very friendly, prompt and very knowledgeable. He did a good job. He told me things about my machine that I did not even know and that I still use today. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

I would recommend him for any major appliance repair.

I have used Berco Appliance Service three times now and I can't wait for another appliance to break so I can have him come back! That's what a pleasure it is to work with him. Prompt, responsive, polite, smart--and, oh yeah, competent!

He was terrific. I had hired another company, which I had used before. They were supposed to come between 8 am and noon. I called three times to find out where the service person was and was told he would be at my house soon. The last time I called, at 3:30, I cancelled the service and called Berco. (When I was trying to find someone to come out, I had called Berco first, but because I had used the other service before, when the representative called back, I told him someone else was going to do it. He told me to call back if I had any problems and he'd be glad to help out. So I did call him back, he arranged an appointment, he showed up just when he said he would, and took care of the problem very well.)

Nicky is reliable and professional. He's getting so busy now you may have to wait a day or two. He's worth it.

They were quick and on time. I thought that they were very honest. They also had a coupon that gave us a discount. They did a wonderful job and I was very pleased. I will call and use them again. The machine was fixed and I have not had any problems. The price was reasonable for the work was done.

Berco Appliance Service is amazing. Nicky is honest and totally fair. We've used this place for years. He's so good about making long-time family relationships. This appliance store is responsive and quick. He is very good at repairing things rather than telling you to buy his new appliances.
