We were so impressed with Ken and his team and the job they did on our floor, it looks brand new. The job was completed on time, on budget, with great attention to detail. The floor also need some repairs and replacement in one area and it blends in seamlessly. It was a pleasure dealing with Ken, always punctual and returned calls in very a timely manner. I would and will recommend Ken for anyone looking to have floors refinished.

Ken and his team did an amazing job. Very responsive for a quote, and very prompt and professional when the job started. The guys did a GREAT job sealing everything off from dust, and the sanding and finishing made my floors look absolutely brand new. I would not hesitate to recommend these guys for anyone looking to refinish their floors.

The floors look absolutely stunning and the guys from Bantry were great. I'm a chemically sensitive person and I live in the house, so I was nervous about having the floors done and had a million questions. When I met with Ken to do the estimate, he addressed everything before I had a chance to ask a question. I felt very comfortable with Ken's knowledge and expertise and I trusted him almost immediately. I really felt like he would take care of things, and he did. We used a water based finish on the floors and I was on the first floor the whole time, there was absolutely no smell. The floors couldn't look better, they're amazingly beautiful and, obviously, it's very big job sanding and refinishing floors. The whole process couldn't have gone any more smoothly than it did. I didn't have to do a thing. The guys from Bantry took care of everything start to finish. Like most people I want my floors to look fantastic and really no one looks forward to the disruption and mess involved in refinishing. However, after having used Ken and his guys, the whole process was so painless that I would no longer hesitate to get my floors done at the first sign that they need some maintenance. I couldn't be happier with the finished product or the whole experience. It all worked out better than I could have hoped. Thanks Ken!!!

I called Ken for an estimate to refinish my wood floor in my kitchen and he responded quickly. His estimate was reasonable As he was not the lowest and not the highest but he seemed reliable and knowledgable. I received his quote via email which I appreciated. When I hired him we confirmed the date to start which happened as planned. The team worked hard and long.... They stayed later than expected but it was to assure they finished properly. The job took longer than expected but I am thrilled with the results. Looking back, the communication on my end as well as Ken's end could have been better which would have added clarity to the time frame of the project. I would use Bantry floors again and recommend him to everyone.

Although i used this company over 15 years ago and was excited they were part of Angies List, after his initial visit for an estimate and a subsequent conversation, Ken did not respond to multiple emails and phone calls trying to schedule the job. Guess he has made it big and does not need additional business.

What a pleasure working with Ken. He contacted me right away and started the job as soon I accepted his proposal. He was involved and had great people working with him. They cleaned up and worked long hard days. They finished on time and the floors look beautiful. Ken even stained the actual floors and help me pick the right color stain. Job well done and I highly recommend him.

It didn't. I called to hire him. His phone rings but no contact. No voicemail, or service. One of his reviews said they had a hard time contacting him. If I can't even contact him to hire him, what's going to happen when I hire him to do a job? A RED FLAG at the beginning? No thank you. You lost business buddy. This is a warning for anyone else who wants to hire him. If he changes his business approach hey seems worth the hire.

amazing responded same night I placed the call. Set up an appointment for the following evening for an estimate. Was willing to start the job on a saturday to limit the time I needed to take off from work. Day of job Ken helped me move two pieces of furniture I was unable to move by myself prior to his arrival. Job finished today. Matched the floors perfect to the other ones in the house that had been refinished and stained during previous construction in the home. Employees very pleasant and professional. Price was good. I had two other estimates Ken was right in the middle of the range but he was the most accomidating to my needs.

Ken Beagle provided me an estimate of the service for installing the floors and the house. He is a very professional individual and very timely. I have to admit it was a bit hard to get hold of him but when we did he is very helpful. He came over and took the measure at my place and gave some valuation information. He is a good gentlemen. However, the price that he was asking for gluing down wood floor was more than 2x of the standard range that I have heard from other wood installers including Home Depot and Lowes. He is very expensive. Do you homework prior to taking him... I have admit that he is professional and a good person to deal with... if it weren't for the price, I would hired him.

Ken Beale scheduled an appointment for an estimate with me shortly after I called. After we received the estimate and decided we liked it, he came back when my husband was home so that we could pick out the color. Since we needed to empty the rooms and rip up some carpeting, we called to schedule installation about two weeks later. He was able to drop the materials off the next day and the work was scheduled for two days later. The work took about a day and a half to complete. It was done by one of Ken's employees, but Ken was in and out to supervise periodically and bring additional supplies. Ken is very professional and easy to do business with. He made sure we understood what needed to be done along the way and asked questions about how we wanted things done. Ken took the time to make sure that the work was completed exactly how we wanted it. The floors look gorgeous and we are very pleased! We felt that the price was reasonable, too. It was a pleasure to work with Ken. We would definitely recommend Bantry Floors.

They called saying they would be at the house between 8 and 10 AM on Monday. They showed up at 10 AM sharp. They were very professional and worked to make sure the house was clean. They let us know of anything that might need to be moved off the walls so as not to get dirty. It took one day and two hours of another day to do the entire job. They also gave us some much needed advice on how to maintain the floor. I found them to be very professional and pleasant people to deal with. We are thinking of doing other rooms and would definately hire them to do the job.

Overall, this was a very positive experience. Ken is friendly, cooperative, and keeps his word. He came when he said he would, and his men did a fine job installing the floors in one day. My only difficulty in this whole experience was that we had to wait a couple of weeks until Ken's men were available. I don't fault him for that. Obviously, he's busy. However, we had a flood, and we were without floors altogether, so it was hard to wait. In his defense, Ken appreciated our situation and said that if we could find someone to do it sooner, he wouldn't take it personally. Overall, I think he and his men did a fine job. We have some other possible flooring project in our home in the future, and I won't hesitate to call him again.

Iinitial contact by phone very informative. Kept appointment to see the floors and give me an estimate, which matched his phone estimate plus $50 which was discounted for Angie's List. The work was completed on time and expertly done.

Ken got back to me promptly and arrived to do an estimate when he said he would. We're pet owners and didn't want harsh chemicals used, which he understood. The work was done when he said it would be. He even worked around our vacation schedule. A neighbor let him in and out of the house and everything was was finished by the time we got home. We would use Bantry again.

Ken responded quite promptly to my call. He came out to do the estimate and came back again after I removed all of the carpet. He gave me an estimate to refinish the floors and another ballpark figure to make repairs. The crew arrived and went right to work removing furniture and setting up. There were a lot of bad boards and they removed these and replaced. Ken came in to check the work and told me there was a lot of repair, which I knew there would be. They finished the major part of the job in one day and Ken returned the next day to put on two more coats of finish. I was a little nervous because of the many boards that needed replacing, but Ken stuck to his estimate. He even offered to come back to put some of the heavier furniture back. The floors look beautiful. Considering the shape they were in I was shocked how good they looked. Thanks Ken.

We got an estimate from Ken on refinishing of our floors. We have a 1 floor ranch and just needed to do the main floor. Since we needed to be out of the house for the process, we decided to do it while we are away on a vacation. Ken is a very trustworthy person. He is honest and delivers exactly what he promises. Floors looked great after Ken's team was done with them and we are still enjoying the new feel of the floor. They did a good job cleaning up after the job was done as well. We would absolutely recommend Ken for any project.Thank you!

Ken and his team are very professional, hard-working and efficient. They sanded, repaired and refinished all the wood floors in our house in Leonia. They did the project on time and within the budget, at a reasonable price. They left the job-site clean as a whsitle and the finished product was excellent. Highly recommended.

When we first met Ken (after contacting him through Angie's List), we got a sense that he was a true craftsman. Although his estimate was not the very lowest we received (about a $200 difference) his good attitude and obvious expertise made us choose him. While Ken often works in very high-end homes, this is our first house and maybe not as fancy as some others in the area (at least not yet!). Ken always treated us and our home with the utmost respect, and the work he did is of a quality that you would find in the most elegant of houses. As we continue to work through our renovations list, the floors will set the bar. The finished work is really exceptional -- extremely thorough, beautiful, and clean (where was all the dust everyone warned me about with this kind of project? There was NO dust to be found.) Ken and his crew had amazing attention to detail, filling/sanding any cracks between boards, and replacing a few damaged boards. Looking at the floor now, you'd never know which boards were original and which were replaced. They even bundled the old boards they removed and left them on our wood pile -- a truly thoughtful thing to do. He gave us great suggestions about stain color and finish so that we ended up with a color that goes perfectly with our paint colors and makes the rooms look spacious and warm. The other great thing about working with Ken was that he and his crew started their work early each morning (around 8am). That meant that by the time we got home from work, we could always walk on the dry floors (shoes off, of course). The whole project took 6 days start to finish, and there was never a day when we couldn't access the whole house and walk between rooms without fear of messing things up. We wholeheartedly recommend Bantry floors.
