Description of Work: A tree came down in he front of our house. When we contacted Midhurst, they came and gave us a bid. However, trying to get them to commit to the work was a nightmare. We had to keep calling to ask when could they do the work. When we did reach them, it was always 'another job' ahead, or some other excuse. They are not prompt or reliable.

Description of Work: Wanted $2,000 to cut down one tree and one branch. Seems much too high a price for that work. Did offer 10% discount due to my military service. Called very fast after I sent the information and called again to check. Too bad I did not have that much money to spend on one tree.

 + 0 moreWhen a loud, furious storm took down two of our trees five days ago, I went to Angie's List for a recommendation, and groaned at the accounts of patterns of trouble and non-responsiveness in the tree service sector, and the few good options in my area. Now I can endorse Midhurst. Ray Chalenski proved knowledgeable about trees and our situation; and prompt about appointments and returning phone messages. They were not the cheapest bid I received, but they were half the cost of the highest, and their proposal was the most business-like and professional. I am pleased to report that their work measures well on this standard. I'll be using them again.
Description of Work: Removed two large trees downed in a storm, and cleaned up storm damage. Gave estimates and recommendations for further work needed in our yard.
